"Nice stay for the night"
Overall, I have a plesant stay at this hotel. Although, the rooom is too small for my taste. With the king size bed there is hardly any room to move around, but given that it is in New York, size can be forgiving. The shower area is very clean and trendy. The room itself is clean and nice. "Great Stay!"
We choose this hotel because it is a very short walk to the City Winery ,where we were attending a show. The price was excellent for New York and the people were very nice. We had a car and valet parking was going to be a lot, as this is the Big Apple. But the receptionist said, " Its Sunday night and you can just park out front on the street for free." […] Excellent! We did need to move it by 9:00 on Monday morning, but we had planned to leave early. Also, the City Winery is a very cool venue for shows, Good food, good service, and nice atmosphere. "A bit overpriced, but his is NYC"
For a pretty high price we got a relatively small room with not too many superlatives. The bed was comfortable and, fortunately, we had things to do in NYC and didn't have to stay in the room too much. The TV was a problem in that the remote could not control the volume and it was either too loud or muted. After about 10 minutes of fiddling, we were […] able to get it to a reasonable level. This happened several times over two days. My wife wanted to sleep in the morning and I went down to the small lobby where the music was VERY loud and it was impossible to have a nice cup of coffee and read the paper (WSJ-Free). Two ice machines in the building --both in the basement. Not a disaster, but the price was a bit high for what we got. But is it NYC, after all. Expect high prices. I was very happy overall with our stay at this hotel. Although our view of window faced the generators and a brick wall, the room itself was comfortable and clean. "Perfect for Inexpensive Valentine's Day Getaway"
My boyfriend surprised me and flew in from Seattle so we needed somewhere to stay, and it had to be available last minute. We booked a room here and were very happy with everything. Everyone at the front desk was extremely friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable (bathroom was very luxurious; black marble, stainless steel, and very clean). […] The only thing I might point out is that we stayed in a Standard King room and it wasn't enormous, but perfect for two people and this IS NYC, so I wasn't expecting anything else. Great service, clean hotel room, but the rm is little too small. Walkin shower is extremely small if you r a big person then you will not like it. Valet costs $ 55.00 I think they over charge for the valet. They will charge you every time you pull out the car. My first time staying in Soho - check-in was seamless and Brian (I think that was his name) was very nice. We lost heat in our apartment and thankfully this hotel was extremely warm. The bathroom, while a bit small, it was obvious that they made smart use of the space. The shower had dispensers for shampoo, body wash and conditioner. We liked that. […] The room doesn't provide a fridge but the ample windowsill space was freezing - perfect for storing cold items. (That may sound crazy but it's true) One little caveat - there was construction in the early morning, not a problem, I can sleep through anything. The hotel provided a complimentary go-bag for breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. NIce, right? Wrong. Two rotten apples and two Capri Sun juices do not a breakfast make. But I'd return. "Great value, but nearby construction"
My wife and I were very pleased with our stay at this fine hotel. Staff was uniformly pleasant, friendly, and professional. Room was clean and well-appointed. Value was great. Only downside is there is a major construction project ongoing next door, and the work starts early there (like around 6 am), apparently seven days per week since they were working […] both Saturday and Sunday. "Great location, Amazing staff.We keep going back!"
This is our second time back, and just like the first time we loved it! The front desk was friendly and helpful. They take the extra time to give personal touches. The view from our room was amazing!
