Art Gallery Hotel Haifa - Haifa

Hotel was being painted during my stay but you never smelled it. Service was great. Hotel was hard to find since the address on the website was different from the street name in the GPS, and the desk clerk gave us a totally different name street name to find it in the GPS. It is a little tucked away and in old downtown but everything is reasonable close. […] The room was very small,, could not use the chair placed at the desk since you could not pull it out due to the bed being too close. The best part of this hotel was that the hotel staff was incredibly helpful, generous, and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable, although on our second day there we noticed an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet; we asked to change rooms and were immediately accommodated. There was good quality art all around the hotel that was […] very nice and a patio on the roof with a spectacular view of Haifa, especially at night. The hotel was not too far from the main tourist attractions for the price; it was about a half an hour walk to the German village and 45 minutes to the Bahai gardens. Lisateave

Pretty much everything about the hotel was satisfactory (later on the other exception) EXCEPT that I chose the hotel based on hotel.coms DISTANCE to Point of Interest which in my case was the Bahai Gardens. In fact it is much further (and expensive taxi rides) to the touristy points of interest. Also, I arrived by bus from Jerusalem and the hotel is […] located at the other end of town (another expensive taxi) although OK to one of the three train stations which I used to go to Ben Gurion Airport. SO CHECK LOCATION RELATIVE TO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO. Also, while the breakfast fare was good the owner literally barked at me more than once over where and how I should sit. Situated in the bustling downtown Hadar district, this hotel probably merits its 3.5 star rating. Of course, bustling can also mean noisy, especially if your room is facing the main street like mine was. But I wasn't particularly bothered and the easy access to transport, shops and cheap food and fruit markets nearby was actually a plus. Besides, not […] being peak season, I would have been offered a better room if I'd requested one. Infact, on my second night the very polite hotel manager phoned me to introduce herself and kindly offered me a larger room if I required it. I was already settled in so thanked her and said I was fine where I was. She eventually caught up with me in person and was very keen to make sure that I was completely happy with my stay. Only issues I had were the inadequate toilet flush, fluctuating water pressure/temperature in the shower, a mini-fridge which didn't seem to do very much other than act as a spare cabinet, a few "dust bunnies" under the bed and also a dodgy TV remote control which was replaced as soon as I flagged it up. Still didn't work properly, but hey, at least I could switch the TV OFF now without getting out of bed! Again, I'm sure if I'd ASKED them to address any of the other issues the staff would have made an effort to deal with it. All the rooms have safes, good air-conditioning units and apparantly wifi which I had no use for -opting instead for the freely provided mini-internet cafe in the reception. Breakfast was adequate and served quickly and efficiently. The receptionist noticed that I was skipping breakfast some mornings due to my early departures and kindly offered to provide me with a packed breakfast so I wouldn't go without. I had friends staying in a more expensive hotel (which shall remain unnamed) in a more "fashionable" part of town who were quite unhappy with their accommodation and the service they received. So, for the price, I think I made a good choice in the Gallery Hotel. Thank-you to the staff Lisateave

Staff was friendly, but parking was horrible. Only 7 spots, and took maneuvering. Recommend parking in nearby paid lot instead. Kids loved the free wi-fi. Hotel is not near tourist areas, but easy enough for us to drive/park to Bahai Gardens, German Colony, Carmel. None of our refrigerators worked. The Gallery hotel is a nice little hotel in down town Haifa. Its not flash but it is comfortable. We booked one night and ended up stating three. The rooms are small and basic but ok for the price. The local area is old but safe and a good way to see the real city. The breakfast is very basic and probably the thing that lets the hotel down a bit. The […] staff are plesant and helpful. from the many hotels i stayed at in israel definetly one of the best maintened. very friendly and helpful staff. great view from the roofterrace. most confortable beds. bit noisy though, because the location is very central. the neighbourhood is not the best of haifa, but safe and the other parts of town are easy to reach. they have a parking lot in […] a courtyard with a gate. If you are uncomfortable taking an adventure, this is not the hotel for you. This hotel is in the old part of Haifa. Was told it's safe, just not a tourist part of town.

habitaciones pequeñas aunque cómodas. Lo más destacable es la limpieza general del hotel. El barrio del hotel es horrible.

The hotel is not very nice and old...the parking is for free but very difficult as it's too small....Daniel at the front desk was very nice and helpfull...the hotel has no style...Free internet is a plus...and for the price you pay ( is expensive for european standards, but cheap in comparison with other hotels in Haifa ) is the best you can get.

hotel propre et net, confortable à un prix convenable, avec de belles chambres, et petit déjeuner sympathique dans le café du coin appartenant à l'hotel
