Holiday Inn Rugby/ Northampton M1, Jct 18 - Northamptonshire (krahvkond)

Been before. Room Fine. Grounds Lovely. Nearby Village Nice. Pool Good. Slept well. Breakfast food quality good, staff need training, toaster needs to be tamper proof, staff need to be proactive in anticipating wht will run out eg plates, certain food items, water etc. Accomodation exccellent value.

Room, staff, service all excellent. Breakfast was a let down. Plenty of choice but cooked items tasted horrible. In fact they tasted as though they were warmed up from the day before. Would recommend this hotel as a convenient stay on M1 but avoid the cooked breakfast.

Clean, comfortable accommodation. Good breakfast included served by very attentive staff. Use of the pool a bonus.

We stayed here on our way to London and I could not reccommend the hotel highly enough. The hotel is located about a minute from junction 18. The building isn't as old as some of the Holiday Inn's we've stayed in before and this was very evident in the standard of the hotel. The room was a good size, the bathroom was clean and fault free. The tv had […] loads more channels than the Holiday Inn we subsequently stayed in in London, which was a great advantage with two young children. The only thing that this hotel lacked was the choice available at breakfast, although there wasn't anything missing really I just felt like the choice was slightly limiting. Got off to a bad start. Took a while to check-in and staff on the desk seemed to be rushing about unnecessarily. Location good for a base to drive to Rugby or Northampton, taxi was £12.50 to the former. Very clean room, nicely decorated and furnished, great large HD TV, which wasn't fixed to wall in set position like some some hotel rooms I've visited. Internet […] was very expensive (£5 for just one hour, think it was £36 for a full day - ridiculous). Staff on bar were very friendly, other members of staff seemed a bit moody. Something that pests me about all Holiday Inns... it's restrictive that you can't check-in until 2 p.m., however staff are pestering to clean your room from 8 a.m. even though you have until noon to check-out. Double standards? Another thing... an option of hard and soft pillows?! who wants a hard pillow? Lisateave

By far the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. Where to begin, although nicely decorated the room was dirty. The pool was so over chlorinated it burned your eyes just walking in the door. The front desk booked the our room twice as we had two woman enter our room after we had just put our kids to bed and I in nothing but my underwear. The bed was […] so uncomfortable my wife and I both had various body parts go numb throughout the night and when waking I could barely walk as it had destroyed my back. Breakfast was not much better as the entire dining room was dirty and the cleanliness of the plated and utensil was absolutely disgusting, needless to say we had breakfast elsewhere. Will never stay here again and may steer clear of all affiliated hotels as well. Lisateave

Great stop off on the M1. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was cosy and comfy, with digital tele, kettle, iron, hair dryer etc. Health club access available till 10pm. Quite modern decoration. In nice surroundings. Good for business or personal stay. Would use again

We used this as an over night stay on our way back from London and it's the first Holiday Inn we have stayed in and we were very impressed with everything. Room very clean. We are used to other hotels that offer cheap room only rates being very basic with no shampoo, no hair dryer etc. This room had everthing from rehreshments, to shampoo, to refreshments […] for the kids, iron, ironing board, hairdryer. The swimming pool was a bonus, it was really nice, changing rooms and pool all very clean. Sauna and jacuzzi were excellent. Staff in the leisure centre and hotel were all friendly and welcoming. Convenient for M1 but no road noise and feels like in the countryside. Nice hotel and friendly staff, great health spa and pool was very warm and a good size. Breakfast was good value but kept warm under lights and was a bit dried up. This hotel was handy for an overnight break on a long drive. The room was quite small but it was warm and clean. Although close to the motorway you could not hear the noise once inside.

I BOOKED A ROOM WITH TWIN BEDS PLUS A SOFA BED AND GOT A DOUBLE AND A SOFA BED - I ASKED AT RECEPTION FOR THIS TO BE CHANGED SO THEY PULLED OUT A SOFA BED FROM UNDER THE SOFA BED AND WEDGED IT BETWEEN THE OTHER 2 BEDS SO YOU COLD NOT WALK ROUND THE BEDS - AS MY MOTHER IS NEARLY 90 AND UNSTABLE ON HER FEET THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE SO I ENDED UP SHARING […] A DOUBLE BED WITH MY HELPER - NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING - THERE WERE ALSO ONLY MUGS AND TEA/COFFEE ETC FOR 2 PEOPLE SO WE HAD TO SHARE DRINKS - I STAYED AT A MUCH LOWER SPEC HOTEL THE FOLLOWING NIGHT AND RATED THEM FAR HIGHER THAN YOUR HOTEL - VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER I AM AFRAID Lisateave

We stayed at this hotel the night before we went to MotoGP at Silverstone (about 20 miles away). The hotel was clean and the room comfortable. We used the pool, which was quiet and we mostly had it to ourselves. The only problem was the bar staff weren't to efficeint and it took twenty minutes to get served with a drink. our bed was full of hairs! but we were so tired,we just slept fully clothed on top of the covers.... we were going to complain in the morning but there was no one at the reception desk in the morning.overall i would recommend this hotel if you don't mind a bit of a drive from coventry or hinckley.

A secluded hotel in large grounds away from the noise of the M1 but easily reached. There was plenty of free parking in nice surroundings. The hotel had a sunny terrace in front. The rooms were very modern, with extending floor to ceiling wooden window screens, and air conditioning that could easily be re-set. The swimming baths were excellent and was […] not busy in the evening before dinner. You could also keep fit. The restaurant served a good steak and other dishes, the fruit crumble and custard was unusual and good. Bar snacks were alternatively available. We tried those last time and were delighted. A bottle of wine was a bit pricey, but not out of the question. Pre-payment for breakfast saved quite a lot. Breakfast comprised full english, fruit and yogurt table,cereals, bona fide juices, little pastries and croissants. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We have stayed twice and will stay in the future as it suits us well. Checking in/out times were generous. Lisateave

Sehr guenstiges Hotel, das alles bietet, was es braucht. Saubere Zimmer, Pool, Whirlpool und Restaurant, sehr ruhig und zweckmaessig.
