Tilghman Beach And Golf Resort - North Myrtle Beach

The Tilghman has always been the best resort for us. The 3 bedroom ocean view of golf view works perfectly for our family of 5. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a TV for everyone. Roopms are on the expensive side during the summer season, but off season pricing is OK. Especially when you can catch a deal.

Great Hotel I would recommend this hotel to others.Big room, very clean and very nice staff specially maintenance Polish man:)

We had a 3 bedroom, 3 full bath condo, full kitchen, very clean, staff was great, great location. Indoor and outdoor pool, lots to do and everything was maintained well. Will definitely go back.

The resort is clean and a wonderful view of the lake and golf course from our room. There is no daily maid service - no clean towels and beds were not made during our stay. There are also no ice machines so you have to rely on the ice maker in the fridge and pray that is safe to use. No coffee in the lobby in the mornings and the on site restaurant […] does not open til 10:00 am. Take your own coffee. Restaurant is more like a storage closet, but the lady working the counter was pleasant. Can't say the same for the front desk help. The rules state no pets, but there were plenty there in the elevator and on the grounds. Also if you are a smoker, this is a non smoking property. No smoking anywhere on the resort. Lisateave

Hotel furnishing was neatly appointed. Great kitchen and all necessities! Very pleased with the excessive rooms....booked a 1 BD King, and checked-in to a 3 BD King. (King mattress in master suite was not good quality, lending to backaches each morning). Hotel booking promised was to be an "Oceanview", but we received a "Lakeview". Front desk was not […] willing to relocate our reservation to Oceanview, although they said they had "several Oceanview rooms available". Hotel is not "on the beach", but across Hwy 17...not inconvenient, but not oceanfront. Great restaurant on premises, acceptable indoor/outdoor pools/hot tubs & outdoor lazy river. Unanticipated check-in "security deposit" of several hundred dollars put against our card; but refunded within 24-hours of our stay, after room checked out okay. Overall, acceptable accomodations and good for the money paid. WAS NOT AFRAID TO SLEEP IN THE BED - MAJOR IMPORTANCE TO ME WITH ALL THE BED BUG SCARES! Lisateave

We were so pleased with our room and the facilities at Tilghman. Our room was spacious and clean, the pool area was very nice, and we enjoyed the free DVDs available to us. The condominium was exactly as shown on the pictures. There were no surprises. The property is well maintained and has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Even after reading the reviews I was still worried about my stay. I worried about ending up in some horrible, dirty place. Well I was pleasantly surprised @ how nice and CLEAN the place was. Seemed like all appliances were brand new. Kitchen was spotless. Being across the street from the beach and was no big deal either. Very short walk. Felt safe @ […] night except @ one convenience store where we went to get batteries. No one bothered us but spot looked shady at 10 p.m. Side ocean view was wonderful to see daily. A few staff were super friendly the rest were just " doing their jobs". Great family fun place.Will go back again ! Lisateave

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The pool area had an employee monitoring the pools until 6:00pm. They would not allow an adult to walk in the lazy river with our 3 year old or swimmers, you had to be in a tube. the man was very rude to my husband about holding our sons tube and told him to get out. The following day, a mother was doing the […] same thing with her child and he did not say anything to her. However, after he left it basically became a swimming pool with kids jumping in and shoving tubes out of their way. The rules should be more consistent, not just during certain hours. Also, the cafe/bar hours were not consistent. They did not follow the posted hours. We were only able to catch them open once during our week stay. Also, this is the first place I have ever stayed at that did not supply the toilet paper and garbage bags. I would not stay here again. Lisateave

we loved our stay so much that I hesitate to tell others because I don't want it to be booked with no vacancies when we want to go again next year! Honestly, this was a wonderful deal, especially for those who don't mind staying a little farther away from the "downtown" myrtle beach chaos.

Fabulous is an understatement! Top notch service and the staff is super friendly! All facilities are immaculate! Definitely planning on staying there again!

Everything at this Hotel was top notch and the free movie rentals in the lobby was a welcome surprise perk that I was unaware of. Only thing that could make this hotel any better would be if it was beachfront instead of one row back.

Loved the condo and pool facilities. Just a short walk to the beach. Quiet area but close to shopping. Only complaint is the very poor wireless internet service.

we really enjoyed our stay at tilghman resort when we first got there we had to wait over in hour for our room but it was well worth the wait the room was beautiful and the view was georgus I would highly recommend this resort. thanks tilghman for a great summer vacation.

Overall I was extremely satisified with the hotel. I was misled to think the hotel was on the ocean when it was in fact across the street although if you get a oceanfront room you will get a great view of the ocean. The pool area looks much larger on the website than in person but was nice and the kids had a great time in the lazy river. The restaurant in the hotel is small but has excellent food and has a person who will come around while you are at the pool to ask you if you would like something to drink or eat. I really liked that. The best amenity that makes this hotel above the rest is there is free DVD and playstation rental. Check out is a breeze and they have a parking garage with plenty of parking. Was very happy with the accomodations, the price I got from hotels.com was unbeatable and the location was great....quieter than most of Myrtle Beach but with plenty to do

Exceeded my expectations! Beautiful pools and lazy river. The condo was very comfortable and well appointed. We plan to come back and stay longer next time!

I recently went on a mini vacation with family and friends to North Myrtle Beach where we stayed at the Tilghman Beach & Golf Resort . After spending in excess of $1,000 for this trip I excpected a much better customer service experience that I got. One of the things found in the room was a dry shrivelled up used condom. It was actually my three year […] old niece that found it. To those of you traveling with kids I'm sure you agree this is not something you would want your child to find. This is a resort but when your staying several nights you would think they would be happy to give you at least one trash bad each day as well as some dishwashing soap for the full kitchen and some extra toilet paper. When I asked for these items they told me they provide enough to get you started and the rest is your responsibility and directed me to a local grocery store. At time of booking with hotels.com it said nothing about needing to bring toilet paper, trash bags, or anything of that sort with me so upon checking in I had to go spend more $ on things that should be provided in the cost of the room. Upon inspecting the beds on of the sets of sheets on one of the queen beds looked dirty so we asked for additional sheets down stairs and they asked why so I told them and their response to me was you have a washer and dryer furnished in your unit use that. I let them know of my concerns at check out Sunday morning and was told that management would be notified and they verified my phone number to ensure it was correct but I have not had anyone contact me as I had expected. I am certainly a very unhappy customer especially after spending all that money to get that sort of customer service is not tolerable. Lisateave

This hotel was incredible and exceeded our expectations. We had a two bedroom/two bath suite and more room than we could possibly need. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in. The next trip I plan to N. Myrtle Beach, I will plan to stay at this hotel. Wonderful!!!

We were looking for a hotel where there was not a lot of tourist and kids. The hotel has easy access to the beach and restaurants. Of course the ladies wanted to do some shopping, so we drove 20 minutes and found what they wanted. The atmosphere here was very friendly and inviting. Excellent hotel to stay at. The 3 bedrooms and 3 baths were great. The only thing which I didn't care for was the house cleaning only comes once a week unless you want to pay extra.....Will definitely will stay again. PS bring your own hairdryer, didn't have one in any of the bathrooms.

My family and I stayed here and the room was extremely clean, comfortable, and roomy. It was 7 of us and we all had enough room to not be on top of each other. I really loved the the friendly hotel staff and I would recommend this hotel to everyone...two thumbs up!!!

We always enjoy the Tilghman especially during the cold months because of the indoor pool which the kids enjoy. The space, we always need the 3 bedroom, cannot be found at any other resort in the myrtle beach area for that price. Rooms are always clean and up to date. The three bedroom corner unit had three large rooms and three bathrooms which allowed the entire family to settle in comfortably. The large balcony would have been great if the weather would have been better. Kitchen was well equipped and saved some dining out. Convient to markets.

Overall a nice weekend get away. Carpet dirty in the room we reserved additional bedroom smelled like a gym. Toilet clogged and iron did not work. Maintenance did respond in a timely manner.

Wonderful experience. The ocean is just across the street and spectacular.

Beautiful place... would highly recommend to family and friends. Rooms were nicely decorated and we had a great family vacation ! :)

Hotel staff were very polite. Check in was a breeze. They actually have 4 elevators so we never had to wait more than 30 seconds to catch an elevator. Inside of the elevator has a funky smell...only bad part of the trip. The rooms were very clean and stocked with plenty of towels and washclothes. Very nice amenities. Private balcony is big, only 2 chairs out there though, for a condo to sleep up to eight people you woud think there would be at least 2 more on the balcony. Great Hotel! We paid what we usually paid for one bedroom hotel room. We got 3 bedrooms/3 baths with full kitchen (it has more things than my kitchen). The only thing is that you have to cross the street to get to the beach and the location is mainly residential. We drove to restaurants and other entertainment. We will be back soon!

If you think it is too expensive this is NOT a motel, these are condo units. Fully furnished with kitchens, many with balconies (ours did). Great winds coming off from beach.

This was our first time booking a condo and not a hotel. We typically book 4-5 star properties. I searched for several months and finally decided last minute on Tilghman. We were more than pleased with the quality of the unit. We booked a 3 bed/3 bath ocean view. The unit was fantastic. Amenites were great, right down to cookware and utensils. We had […] one issue with a TV signal, which was promptly resolved. The staff could not have been nicer. We arrived early and Nicole worked with us to get our unit ready so that we could check in. By the time we returned from purchasing our groceries, our unit was ready. The allowed us to check in about 2 hours early. Given that we had anixous kids in tow, that was a blessing! The kids loved having their own rooms. All bedrooms had a flat screen tv with dvd player and the living room at a 32 inch flat screen with dvd. I was so worried about this vacation, since this property only had a 3 1/2 star rating. Not to appear snooty. But, they should be ranked much higher. We are already planning to return for spring break with other family members. Book here and get the ocean view! Lisateave

Our stay was fabulous. The room was spacious, clean, contained modern decor, had a fabulous view, and was conveniently located. The North Myrtle Beach location was more private and being located across the Blvd. was not a problem. Family with teenagers - each had our own room, TV and and bath - better than home! The view from the ocean front balcony was superb! Full kitchen provided everything needed with a grocery store conveniently a few blocks away. Glad we stayed in North Myrtle Beach - the beaches were nice and quiet. Christmas at the beach. I read reviews and really didn't have my mind made up to stay until the last minute. But I am glad I did, it was my first time at the beach since 1992 and I wanted to enjoy myself. When I check-in I let the Desk person know that and he change the view of my room to the oceanview side. I have traveled all over the world and I […] always look for bargans this was by far the in my top 10, and when I say all around the world that is what I mean. Yes the place was clean, I did get a chance to work out and the room was not that big but it was enough to keep me on track. I will be giving a shout out to the Tilghman on my facebook and myspace. My kids enjoyed it so much they didn't want to leave the room. I think we were there for 5 days my kids left the room 2 times one day for the swim (indoor pool) and night that we went out to eat before we left. Great view from balcony. Great lazy river and pool area with food available. Relaxing and fun indoors or outdoors. It would have been nice if the hotel was on the same side of the street as the beach, but the pool and lazy river made up for some of that.
