Whitman House - Cambridge

Very accommodating and friendly service. We are moving to the Boston/ Cambridge area and this B&B was a good place to get acquainted with the area including information and advice from the owners, staff and other guests. The common area really makes it like a "home away from home."

It's not an en-suite bathroom where we stayed, known either as Nathan's room or the Blue Room. I mentioned that it is advertised as such here, but they seemed unconcerned. The room is down the hall and "dedicated" though we found an adult diaper in our trash in the "dedicated" bathroom. I did not find the room comfortable. There was no furniture to […] speak of to lounge on. We lounged on the bed. We were not given "breakfast vouchers and had to ask for them. They are a $5 discount at the Cafe Luna which we found overpriced. There was not even water glasses in the room or bathroom and only tiny little 8 oz water bottles. Sorry, Robert and David were nice enough, but we would not stay again. The en-suite bath should at least be changed in the posting. Lisateave

Ease and grace. The hosts were absolutely wonderful: friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. There was also privacy. Very quiet neighborhood. The house itself was artful and aesthetically very pleasing, including the details of subtle lighting. The bed was fabulous. A -Plus!

After insisting on 5 stars for quite sometime, I'm ruined and will never be able to stay anywhere else in Boston! What a place - like a hostel, but for higher end adventurers. Robert and David are meticulous hosts - offering rides, directions and alot of laughs to guests. After remodeling their beautiful Cambridge home, they opened it as a Bed & Breakfast. […] The rooms are modern, bright and very well appointed - flat screen TV's and a movie collection to rival all. The common kitchen allows for nice interaction between the hosts and the few other guests (there are only 3 rooms here) and if you're up early enough, a friendly spread of fruits, yogurt, pastries, etc. await you. I stocked the fridge with Champagne and had a lovely morning with fellow guests - one of whom cooked breakfast for us all. Centrally located in Central Square, Cambridge, but off the main roads in a residential neighborhood, if you want to feel like a local who is living well, then this is your spot. Lisateave

Excelente B&B. O amigável trato dos donos David & Robert, junto ao confortável quarto, fizeram que nossa estadia em Cambridge fosse muito agradável.
