"Great stay for families"
Excellent location for beginner/intermediate skiiers because Brian Head's Navajo Ski Lodge is next door. Indoor pool is a hit for after skiing.

Excellent service and great value.
"The Villa is Awesome."
Four adults for a 2-day ski trip. I was expecting a 2 room villa. The room was better than expected, it was two rooms PLUS a living/dining/kitchen inbetween. Fireplaces in each bedroom and each bedroom had a full bathroom. We could have had 2 more guests sleeping in the living room. Plenty of hooks and seats for all the ski gear to hang and dry out. […] And plenty of seating to watch movies. BTW the food has been consistently good at the lodge over the years and the bar-keeps were fun! Lisateave
"Great place for a winter getaway"
We were really surprised by how nice this place was! After driving through a snowstorm (only attempt to drive to this resort in good weather or with 4wd or chains), we were happy to find the room clean and cozy with its own gas powered fireplace. Beds were comfy, great bathroom with nice water pressure. Very close to the Brian head resort. The hotel […] is at approximately 9000ft, so you may be a bit out of breath throughout the stay. "Cedar Breaks Lodge"
This Hotel is lovely and convenient for the avid snowboarder and skiier. It is close to lifts and shuttle service is available. The price is really affordable. The location is somewhat secluded and if you are looking for outside activities, it may not be the place for you, but the hotel itself has pool and jacuzzi, a cute gift shop with essentials, […] a small but nice gym, a nice spa and a restaurant/bar that is open til 10pm most days. For the quiet relaxing weekend, it is a great location and the staff was really helpful. I thought it was great and would definitely go back. Lisateave

"Great place to stay at Brian Head"
We stayed at Cedar Breaks Lodge in early February 2012. It was Super Bowl Sunday, and the place was a ghost town. Not sure if it is usually more crowded. I had never been to Brian Head before. When I booked the hotel, I was worried about the distance from the hotel to the ski resort. It is actually walking distance to the resort's Navajo lodge ( where […] the beginner/intermediate slopes are) and The Grand Lodge hotel. Everything was closer than it looked on the map. I read another review that said to stay at Cedar Breaks and eat at Grand. Definitely true for breakfast. The breakfast was cheaper and better at Grand Lodge. We stayed in a junior villa - the smallest, cheapest room. It was very nice. Everything looked updated and new. We couldn't get the gas fireplace to work, but didn't bother to call about getting it fixed. We saved a lot buying our ski lift tickets ahead of time from the hotel. Just call at least 72 hours before and book them through the front desk. The pool and hot tub were great. The bar/cafe has some good beer an awesome chicken pot pie. Overall, it was a great place to relax after a long day of skiing. Way more than we were expecting for the price! Lisateave
"Cedar Lodge in BrianHead UT"
Excellent ski hotel witj just a walk to slopes and ski school. Great indoor hot tubs/pool/gym. Food good and staff extremely friendly. No town as such and nothing much to do in the evenings. Very inexpensive skiing so that makes up for a lot.
"Ideal for skiing Brian Head"
The Cedar Breaks Lodge is an easy walk to the beginning slopes of the ski resort. For those seeking more challenging runs, they along with the ski resort offer shuttles to take you to the more advanced runs. The staff was friendly and attentive. The kitchenette enabled us to save on breakfasts and kept our beer cold. Easily can provide privacy for a […] family with the bedroom separated by a hallway while the kids could share the sofa/sleeper. Would certainly stay here again. Lisateave
"Wonderful family experience"
My wife and 2 little kids (5 and 6) were very impressed with this place. The kids have never seen snow and the lodge and surrounding areas provided plenty of activity to thoroughly wear us all out. Free shuttle takes you to the tubing or skiing/boarding areas which is actually a very close walk. The shuttle is nice if you have a lot of gear. The tubing […] was great for the kids. The lodge even provided free sleds for casual playing. The kids were never bored. When we grew tired of the snow we enjoyed the indoor heated pool and hot tub that was open pretty late. We stayed in the 1 room villa which was perfect for our family. The game room was also a plus. We plan to go again next year. Lisateave

"cedar breaks lodge"
we stayed 4 nights, the 2 bedroom villa was excellent for what we paid for. (the skiing was great) we used the pool, spa, sauna, also had massages after skiing! we tried all 3 restaurants very good, service was great. i guess my only complaint was, unable to bring teenage kids into bar and watch super bowl.
"Satisfied from Vegas"
My only complaint was the constant noise of other guest walking down the hallways talking until 1am or later. If you know Brian head than you know there aren't many choices to eat out. Therefore guest cook in their rooms. The smells coming from the rooms as you walk down the hallway all began to mix and smelled obnoxious. You'd think guests would […] know enough to open a window. At least you won't smell it in you own room. I stayed at the Grand Lodge across the street 1 month earlier. It is slightly better but my room was almost triple the price. Therefore I will likely stay at at Cedar Breaks again if I am too tired to drive back to Vegas. Service everywhere in Brian Head or southern Utah is always excellent. Lisateave
"Very nice for kids and adults"
Stayed with my family for 2 nights. Brett the MGR was very professional and helpful. Kids liked pool and hottub(air in pool room was a bit cold though) Lots to do in the area. Post office across the street. Scenic drive to get there from any direction. I would stay at this hotel again for sure. Try to get the building with the pool in it so you do not […] have to go outside.(BUILDING 2) Lisateave
"Worth the drive"
In the middle of nowhere, but woth it. Friendly staff, nice pool area, Loved the fireplace in room! We went tubing and had a great time.
"very nice spa"
Rooms have gas fireplaceand nice kitchen Great spa pool steam Shauna area
"Great"
Great location, great price for a ski area resort. Room was smaller than Hotels.com stated but at 450 sq ft was quite adequate. Next bigger room was 750 sq ft! Indoor swimming and hot tub was wonderful after a day of sking. Free bus shuttle to lifts was also a plus. We will definitly go again.
The hotel was close to evrything we needed, and the service was great. we had a two bedroom unit and a full kitchen and living room. Beds were comfortable and tv's were HD.

"Cedar Breaks lodge at Brian Heaf, Utah"
I would recommend this hotel. Very inviting and clean rooms. Friendly stuff. Great location next to ski area. Hotel has a bar and two restaurants. There are two hot tubs, steam room and sauna available for the guests. Unfortunately the swimming pool water heater was out durning my last stay.
"good hotel, but the location sucks"
everything was fine, the lady at the check-in was not friendly at all though. The worst thing about the hotel is the location.
Cedar Break Lodge was amazing. Everyone was wonderful, it felt like home. Great customer service and they care about their guest. We can't wait to come again! I highly recommend anyone to stay here.
"Wayyy Better Than The Grand Lodge"
I hereby pledge my loyalty to no other Brian Head hotel than Cedar Breaks Lodge. Reason #1: Cedar Breaks Lodge is considerably quieter than the Grand Lodge. Although this building is much older than its counterpart, they've worked most of the kinks out. We had a gloriously peaceful slumber. Reason #2: The rates are usually 20-30% cheaper than the other […] "hotel" up the street. Reason #3: In-room jet spa! In-room gas fireplace! In-room kitchenette! These are a few blessed luxuries to powder hounds who travel weekly to different ski resorts from November to June. Skiing 7-8 hrs per day makes us cold, sore, and hungry. Knowing we can address these issues without leaving our room is priceless! Reason #4: On-site spa with an affordable range of services. They even have quickie massage options for those pressed for time. The only minor qualm is how cheaply printed and tacked behind a glass bulletin board the spa specials were promoted. Card stock and a little photoshop could increase the class meter exponentially and attract more clientele. Reason #5: On-site restaurants and room service. And, lastly, #6: Covered, underground parking. No need to tread icy pavements to my car in the morning. No need to wear a helmet to avoid falling sharp icicles that could impale your skull, unlike the OTHER hotel with unprotected/unplowed/unsalted parking lot. Oh, Cedar Breaks Lodge, thank you for making our snow addiction more pleasant by addressing all the little things that make life easier! Lisateave
"Incredible!"
We only stayed for one night but I wanted to stay longer. The room was clean, well appointed and roomy. The Fireplace in each room in the suite was such a special touch. I adored the jetted tubs as well. The bed were large and comfy and the staff very helpful. They did have a few computer issues at check in and check out. The rest of the hotel was very […] nice but the gift shop seemed a little less classy. The pottery they sold was poor workmanship and not worth the price. Overall a great stay and well worth the money. Lisateave
we had the chef special, we were very disappointed the meat was tough, the dining room closed there was no breakfast being served, there was no coffee available in the lobby on the gift shop which did not open until 8 am
"Pleasant Suprise"
I didn't know what to expect based on previous reviews of the hotel and restaurant. My girlfriend and I wanted to see Bryce Canyon and Zion we booked Cedar Breaks because of location and cost. We felt welcomed and safe there. The staff was very accomodating and the food was good at the cafe. The little town of Brianhead had absolutely nothing going […] on before the skiers arrived so we stayed at the hotel in the evenings and had drinks in the bar. It was very cozy and restful. The beauty of Utah is stunning and Brianhead is remote enough to really experience the natural setting of Utah. Overall, we had a good experience and would stay here again. Lisateave

Very nice facility in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed the fall colors. Unfortunately, the weather turned cold too fast for us to really enjoy it outside but the hot tub & steam room warmed us right up. The food was good, reasonable prices. Wanted to go back on our return home but the road was closed. Will be back another time.
"Cedar Breaks Lodge"
What a wonderful place. I wish I could have just stayed there for my entire vacation! It is so peaceful, clean, calm and relaxing. I will look at this for my next vacation.
"Cedar Breaks at Brian Head"
Beautiful hotel. Rooms were nice.
"Sundry"
Loved, loved, loved FP in BR. Staff very responsive to situations that arose. Food service needs work - nobody seemed to know what was going on the last night we were there and the computer was on the fritz. A bit difficult to locate - certainly remote, but beautiful. Overall a good experience.
"Cedar Break Lodge - if you want to be pampered"
The Lodge was beautiful and full-service; i.e., spa, two hot tubs, steam, sauna and a lovely pool in a setting with a fireplace, views, tables, couches, etc. There is a dining room, bar, game room, too, as well as two restaurants. It is a great spot for a getaway of season, as hte prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed it on our way to Las Vegas from […] Bryce National Park - lovely drive. Lisateave

"Room was great but ..."
The room was clean and comfortable. But the restaurante food and service was very bad. My husband and I couldn't eat in the cafe because the set up of the room allowed all of the children and parent yelling and crying to echo throughout. When we asked if we could move to the bar our server simply said 'well I had to get use to it'. Well, customers Don't […] have put up with it. We finally moved ourselves to the bar and our server simply left us without any assistance. Food and Water!! This Hotel costs to much to put up with the crappy service. Lisateave

"The Cedar Breaks Hotel in Brian Head, Utah."
The room was nice and the beds comfortable. The noise was low, but it was the low usage time of the year being September. Every thing was clean and the well kept. There are three restaurants on the property, at different levels of price and offerings. Prices were a bit high, but it is a resort and about the only place to get a hot breakfast served, […] but you could cook your own, albeit you only have a microwave and fridge in the junior villa. All in all a good place to stay. Lisateave
"So good we extended our overnight to a shortbreak"
We arrived tired and late for a one night stay, but after a friendly welcome we were really pleased when we got to our room. It had a well-equipped kitchenette where we were able to prepare a quick snack, which one of us ate while enjoying a quick jacuzzi bath in the bathroom, and watching the massive LCD TV. The room was... simply excellent! We then […] had a short session in the hotel spa bath and pool until 11pm before collapsing into our exceptionally comfortable beds for a great night's sleep. After exploring some of the area the day before, we decided that we should extend our stay at the Lodge and we were really glad we did. The Cedar Breaks area is a relatively quiet gem in Summer and we walked around lakes and ponds, across alpine meadows, around natural red rock amphitheatres, to the top of mountain peaks, and shot wildlife all day long... with our cameras! After a long day out walking in the mountains, the jacuzzi bath and power shower in the room were excellent revivors. We found that there was some redecoration and renovation work going on at the Lodge at the time, near our room and around reception, which meant that the bar area was quiet. This did not detract from our enjoyment of the stay, as we and some other guests congregated outside in the evening at the barbecue area and again later in the pool and spa bath. All in all, a great stay. Thoroughly recommended at the price (even with wi-fi as a chargeable extra, which I normally moan about). Lisateave
"Cedar Breaks Beautiful but not alot to to do summe"
Room and Staff were excellent! Location was beautiful. Not many restaurants available. Waite staff at restaurant needs more training - very slow and not multitaskers

"amenities"
The restaurant attached to the resort was under staffed, extremely slow, and the staffing was inexperienced at best. The food quality is much lower than the hotel rating should demand. The lounge was good, unless food was ordered, which apparently comes from the restaurant. Also the 10:00 A.M. check-out was too early and inconvenient.
"Like Hot Tub Time Machine BEFORE the time travel"
While the hotel itself was nice, and the location (Brianhead, Utah) was gorgeous, as usual, we ran into an off-season laziness from the entire staff that was a little disturbing. Nobody seemed to care. It was like they kept their cheap people on for the off-season. That said, everybody was very nice, but the food service was beyond glacial and the staff […] seemed stupified when there were more than two tables simultaneously. I made a really stupid mistake and ordered seafood for dinner (dumb, i know... who orders ocean fish in the mountains), and well, you can imagine how my time was spent later that evening... the bed was so bouncy whenever we would move around that I finally went and slept on the couch. Check in is at 4pm but check out is at 10am, and this sucked because we had massages at 1pm and wanted to be able to shower afterwards, The massages were AWESOME (ask for Susan) and the front desk was kind enough to let us check out at 1:30pm. The housekeeping staff, however, sat out in the hall and mocked us for "thinking that this was a bed & breakfast" as they cleaned the surrounding rooms. Not sure if they knew we were still in our room or if they didn't care. Overall, I think the real issue was that our expectations were too high, but in our defense the marketing materials portray a somewhat-elegant property, but we learned that what probably happened is that the marketing came from corporate HQ, but somehow didn't filter down to the rank & file. For instance, the "Double Diamond Steakhouse" where "reservations are strongly encouraged" was completely empty, had butcher-paper tablecloths that were too large for the table and not folded to the edges (so we had to be careful where we put our glasses since it the inch or two of paper over the edge of the table meant glasses could have easily fallen if we were even slightly careless), and the waitress was overwhelmed when another table sat down, for a grand total of two tables at once. Breakfast the next day in the ca Lisateave

"Cedar Breaks Lodge summer stay"
We chose Cedar Breaks Lodge because of the close proximity to Cedar Breaks National Monument. The villa was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was also very quiet . We only stayed 1 night due to our schedule, would have been nice to stay longer.

"Cedar Breaks Stay"
We had a wonderful time at the Hotel. The rooms were large and Expedia made the price great. Amenities were great. Super gym, pool, spa, sauna, cable tv. VCR/DVD player in the room. Going back again.
"Off season"
We stayed during the interlude between ski season and mountain biking season. Most services at the resort were open very limited hours. My wife was able to get a spa treatment, though. The hotel was doing maintenance and remodeling at the time we were there. We noticed a strange odor in the room each time we walked in. After a while we got used to it […] and didn't notice anymore. The staff was friendly and helpful. When we arrived late, there was only one person working in the restaurant, so service was slow. However, during ski season, I'm sure the place is very nice. Skiers should be quite comfortable in this location. Lisateave
