Hotel personnel were very helpful and friendly (especially Scott at front desk). It was in the middle of no where, but that was fine with us. attractions and restaurants were about 15 min away. Only suggestion is to try and get a room that does not look over the highway. Heard truck traffic from highway all night. Breakfast was good.

It was very hard to sleep as some of the guest were quite uncivilized. Some of the adult guest were simply crazy and noisy. The children and teenagers were banging on my door and others in the middle of the night . When we arrived at 2.30 we were informed by the front desk that our room was 'dirty' and we had to 'come back later'...we asked if there was another room available and the front desk clerk said 'not a King bed and you booked a King'. I asked if they had a Queen bed, she said 'Ill check'. So then the cleaning staff said the room would be ready in 10 […] mins. Front desk clerk said well 'you can wait'. We sat in the lobby and waited and when our room was ready she put the keys on the counter and walked away. Very unfriendly front desk clerk. Not what we expected from a normally wonderful Country Inn and Suites. When we checked out the next day she was just as unfriendly and discourteous. Lisateave

The location was great for what we had to do during our 3 night stay. We drove in from Texas and it was such a relief to stay at a hotel that made everything easy. The staff were great. The women at the front desk and even the women at housekeeping were very kind and helpful. Although somewhat remote to local conveniences, I was working in the area so it suited my purposes just right. The whole building was very clean. Breakfast was very good. The place was very quiet and peaceful. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. A very good value.

They always go above and beyond. Staff are always very accommodating. Only difficulty with this location is they are in a dense fog area off the highway and unless you know how to get in and out, 1st time visitors may find the entrance access a little difficult. We travel with our young children often and this was one of my favorite hotels! From the warm and inviting lobby, the perfect indoor pool and hot tub for a young family, the cookie jar always full on the front desk counter, to the fabulous array at breakfast... We enjoyed staying at this hotel, the pool area was well kept, the room was very clean and the morning free breakfast was perfect. We enjoyed our stay here and the staff made us feel right at home. I loved their tea/coffee/hot chocolate "bar" they had available in the lobby. After driving in the cold, it was nice to find this waiting for you when you […] arrived. One of the draws to this hotel is it had queen size beds rather than double beds. We would stay here again. The only issue we had was finding the hotel in the dark. It was 19 degrees outside and we were unable to adjust our room temperature to be anything cooler than 75 degrees or so -- MUCH too warm for sleeping. Even on the coldest setting possible, the "cool vent" setting blew only warm-ish air; and the air conditioner automatically turned off after approximately 20 seconds of running, thereby failing to cool […] the room. Seriously, in the dead of winter on a cold night, there should have been some way to make our room comfortable, but there was not. Also problematic: We got to the breakfast buffet 45 minutes before it was supposed to end. No eggs left, no fruit left, no butter out, one type of juice was out. When we spoke to management about this, we were told that the hotel would look into it. Fine lot of good that did us when we really did not want to sit around waiting/hoping that they would restock the buffet during what were supposed to be its main hours of operation! Lisateave

Our stay was very nice, but we were not aware of the times for the breakfast buffet., hence we got there too late Information about such amenities might be on some sort of printed informational material in the room. We really liked the hotel and the room. Also, it was good that we could have some supper delivered. Those at the desk were helpful telling […] us about that possibility. The hotel is not located in Frackvile or Pottsville Pennsylvania as advertised. It is in a remote isolated area, poorly lighted, poorly marked area in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Upon my arrival the fog was extremely thick on the mountain, the road to hotel off of the interstate is poorly lighted and very diffcult to find.

Odd location off the road and in an industrial park but a quiet area. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accomodating. One thing we were told when booking was it would be totally accessible for wheelchair. While it was easy enough to get in and out of room we noticed that we were not placed in a room that was designed with a […] button to open door and a bathroom with more accessibility like right across the hall. We only needed it for a very brief stay to sleep and go so we never complained or let them know. If we were going to stay longer we would have let them know we were not in the proper room. All in all we had enough accessibility for the night and the place was very nice and clean and the staff very accomodating. We would go back again. Lisateave

First thing I noticed when I entered my room was how dirty the carpet was. I did not want to walk bare foot on the carpet. The pool was nice and the breakfast was ok (very crowded - not enough room in the dining room for all the guests). The hotel was difficult to find because it says "Frackville" but GPS will only pick up the address if you use "Pottsville." […] This hotel is a little below average but probably better than most in this area. It was a very nice hotel with very friendly staff. I would stay there again. The only minor problem was the outside trash cans were not emptied at all during my stay. I arrived on Sunday and the trash cans were filled to the top. They were still completely filled when I left on Tuesday.

This was a last minute decision to stay overnight and The Country Inn and Suites was perfect!!! Quiet, clean, comfortable beds and the staff friendly. The hot complimentary breakfast was awesome! It was the perfect stay!!!!

The Hotel was decent and the staff were very friendly. They let us check in at 9 in the morning which was great after a long drive. The only downside was that there was nothing in the immediate area around the hotel and given this it would have been nice if the hotel had it's own restaraunt and bar to give the guests something to do. The facility was in a state of reconditioning and remodeling, but the room we stayed in was comfortable and quiet. At first, we thought the place was in the "middle of nowhere" because it is perched at the top of a very steep hill, with very little around it. Probably wouldn't stay here again because it is so far away from everything. The nearest place to eat is 5 miles away. There is literally nothing around this motel. The rooms are fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff does their job, but are not overly friendly.

The hotel didn't have any extraordinary qualities, but was clean and suited our needs for one night just fine. There is nothing at all around the hotel, in terms of food, a drugstore, ect., so that's slightly inconvenient, but in terms of our actual stay, the room was up to par. I have been staying at this hotel for 4 to 7 times a year for 5 years and have looked forward to my stays. But last 2 visits have not been good. Both times the pool was too cold to use & the jacuzzi was filthy, green water & a lot of dirt floating on the bottom. The linens smelled stale & there was a rim of mold in the bathroom sink. the exit door on […] the first floor would not close & the wind kept blowing the door open throughout the weekend. The coffee bar was nice but the breakfasts have been better. For the money it is a poor value. I have noticed the staff has changed. It is sad to see this place go downhill. We where lucky enough that our room was done when we got there, because we where 4 hours too early for check-in but was allowed to check in early. The Continental breakfast was awesome with many choices and everything was nice, fresh and warm. The whirlpool was great! Your housekeeper was great, we always had clean towels.

I like the location of this hotel, it may be a little out of the way but the view is beautiful and it is restful. I saw employees painting and the exercise room has new equipment, the breakfast was very good. this place is very cozy and the staff is very hospitable.

I spent one evening in the hotel. It is one of the best hotels in the area. It is fairly new and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a small exercise room with new equipment and a simple swimming pool. It is right off the highway, but a little tricky to find using my GPS. I would recommend it for future visitors.

People who gather to smoke at the front entrance do so loudly and without concern for the pollution of the air and the disturbing noises for those who occupy rooms at the front of the building. Smoking needs to be prevented near any entrance and away from sleeping quarters. The hotel is pricey enough to have better quality eggs and bacon.

The customer service was not very good. On my recent stay August 31, 2011, in the afternoon (around 4 pm), there was a male desk clerk who was deliberately rude and obnoxious. The bed linens had a definite odor, especially the pillows. I would not stay at this hotel again.

I was surprised that this hotel was in the middle of nowhere. The address was Pottsville, but it is not in the city. My GPS couldn't find this hotel, fortunately I did find it on my own. Lovely hotel, with big sized, clean rooms. The bathroom is also big, and modern, and bright. The tel in clean through and through. I love the fact that they offer hot breakfast, because there isn't a food store around for miles, literally! The pool is great, especially after coming back from traveling. The weight room needs some weights, and a couple […] of other things. But for me that wasn't a problem at all. Parking was plentiful, and spacious, even when the hotel was fully booked. They also have really yummy cookies in the afternoon, near the computer, which one can use, at no cost. Also, the hotel is covered with free WiFi, which I took full advantage of. There is also cabling in the room for computer use. Overall, this hotel bangs!!! I will stay here again, next year. Lisateave
