Majutusasutuse Eliza Thompson House 25 kliimaseadmega toas on ka MP3 dokid ja CD-mängijad. Tubades on lameekraaniga telerid kvaliteetsete kaabel-tv-kanalitega ja DVD-mängijad. "Old world charm"
Just one issue: my bed was next to a hallway wall that contained the air conditioning unit for the building and I had to listed to the humming, whirring of the motor all night which made it hard for me to sleep. Make sure to ask for a room that is not adjacent to the A/C unit!

As a bed & breakfast.....This facility was charming. The food was also very good. I did expect, however, that one of the staff would be readily available to invite us to the wine & appetizers before dinner and the coffee and dessert in the late evening. We did have to ask about those. At breakfast again there was not a staff member available to be forthright […] in checking our satisfaction with the food, if we needed information, or with suggestions about the area, etc. Lisateave

The staff was friendly, we loved the outdoor garden courtyard. Breakfast was good--homemade biscuits were wonderful. We were in the main house, first floor. Our room was large, bathroom small. Our friend traveling with us had a huge room --the J.Stephens room.
"Gem in the historic district of Savannah"
Our stay at Eliza Thompson House was the cornerstone of a wonderful weekend in Savannah. The staff was amazing, the rooms comfortable, courtyard a great place for breakfast and wine in the afternoon. We hope to return to Savannah and Eliza Thompson House soon! Thank you!

A lovely little jewel of a hotel. Sweet and historic and close to everything! Appetizers and wine 5:30-7:00 and Dessert at 8:00. Full, delightful breakfast each morning. Wonderful! You'll love it!

"Loved the Eliza Thompson House and the service!"
Wonderful place to stay, wonderful location! When we were told that breakfast began at 8:00, we said, That's too bad - we need to be across town by 8:30." The next morning, I was out in the courtyard and saw breakfast being put out at 7:15, because we had to leave early. Five stars all around!

We booked on the fly and had no idea what we'd get. Turned out it was a great location - on the oldest street in Savannah! Walk a mile to the river and all around the surrounding squares. You'll probably take a pedicab out to dinner or walk it - at least going. Parking little bit of a pain with weekend street sweeping but not a huge deal. Breakfast […] was great both days. Rooms are very nice, older but a great southern feel. Would recommend staying in the garden rooms (kind bed too) for more privacy feel. Lisateave

My girlfriend and I stayed overnight at the Eliza Thompson and could not have chosen a better Inn. There are various to choose from in the Savannah area but this one was among the best. Good service, friendly staff, and if you're into it, haunted tales.

Very pleased with this classy old hotel in a beautiful, quite neighborhood. I especially liked the evening gatherings with wine and snacks, and the obviously sophisticated clientele.

A very good experience within an true Savannah Historic setting in the midst of the Historic Distric that provided a sense of the time. The staff was excellent & attentative with a delicious Savannah Home Style Breakfast prepared daily. The location was excellent = all the Historic Distric could be viewed within easy walking distance of the Thompson […] House as well as all those great reastaurants starting wiht Mrs. Wikes Boarding House, the best lunch in Savannah if not the best meal & the Pink House another great one. We would stay here again & the Company that owns the Thompson House does own & maintain some of the more famous & highest rated Historic Distric Boarding Houses or Hotels - all worthy of a visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Savannah. My only con, and I hesitate to give it any, is that the breakfast is not that great and certainly not up to B&B standards. "Well situated for walking tours of historic sights"
Hotel is on the most beautiful street in the city near all the historic sights. Great starting point for walking tours, close to many historic sites. Overall I would have to say don't stay in room 111. AC didn't work even after being "fixed" by the maintenance man. The bedroom itself was so small had to squeeze between wall and bed to get in. Those […] are our only 2 complaints. But I have to say that if the AC was fixed and the price was right I would return to this room because of the quality and location of the Inn. The bath was nice and so was sitting room. Breakfast in the courtyard with fountain was excellent. Dessert in parlor was also good (we took ours down to our room to eat). We were not impressed by afternoon coffee, but one should be out touring at that time of day anyway. The 24 hour staff was friendly and responsive. We tend to make a mess of our rooms and they were always cleaned to perfection so i left the maid a good tip upon leaving. Lisateave

The Eliza Thompson House was charming in every way. The staff knew my name and made me feel like a head of state! It is located in the heart of Savannah and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. My room was beautiful and cozy too. I can not say enough nice things about this bed and breakfast! I did not want to leave!

We had a great time at the Eliza Thompson House. The room was beautiful, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and the location was perfectly situated in the heart of the historic district and an easy (beautiful) walk to the Market and River. Highly Recommend!

We came to Savannah to tour SCAD and it was convenient to the school and the riverfront. The food was great and the dessert bar with coffee in the evening was a surprise. The staff was super and very helpful. The room was perfect, with our own entrance, very fun! We will do this one again for sure.

"Careful which room you get...."
They put us right next to the main entrance of the back rooms. The security light shone in the room all night long. They need to do something with the window treatment. In addition the room is over the kitchen and the smell of the cooking was wafting into the room in the early hours of the morning. It was room 125. We did not realize any of this and […] when you consider the hotel was nearly empty it makes no sense they put us in that room. Location was great and the staff was very helpful. Loved this place !!!! Everyone was very helpful and accomodating. All the little touches were awesome. Loved our location ( and the 2 day parking pass - that allowed us to park anywhere in the City). Breakfast was very good. Desert served in the evening was wonderful.

The Eliza Thompson House was great - perfect location in downtown/historic Savannah to everything in the city. The staff are super helpful, every recommendation they gave we took them up on, and could not have been happier. They also let us store our bikes in their beautiful courtyard, letting us easily get around town. Our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast. I would stay again in the spring of 2012. The breakfast that was prepared every day was a 10. The cook came out to garden to speak to the guest and made sure that everyone was enjoying the food. "Savannah romantic stop on cross country adventure."
My wife and I have spent a month crossing the country and stayed at the Eliza Thompson House for 3 nights. Had a wonderful time in the city and loved to come back to this quaint place to recover. The staff know the town and are willing to recommend places off of the beaten path (always good). Breakfast, hors d'ovueres, and desert were all wonderful […] and the other guests were a delight to meet. "Lovely B&B in heart of Savannah Historic District"
After reading many reviews on B&B's in Savannah, we decided to book our stay at the Eliza Thompson House, in large part, because of the location, the history of the house & their garden courtyard (where they serve hot breakfasts which were fine, but not outstanding). Our room was not in the original house, but in the courtyard wing. It was very comfortable […] and had lovely period decor. The complimentary evening cocktails, hors d'oevres, & dessert served in the beautiful drawing room was a great way to learn about the Inn as well as meet other guests. If you prefer solitude, taking your wine and cheese out to the courtyard is a lovely way to wind down after a busy day enjoying the beauty of Savannah. The location of the Inn is on a very beautiful, tree-lined street, quiet enough yet right in the heart of it all. We would definitely consider staying here again whether as a couple or even as a trip with my sisters. Lisateave

If you want the true Savannah experience, stay at the Eliza Thompson House. From the moment you enter you feel welcome by everyone. My husband I recently stayed in this quaint bed and breakfast for an evening on our way to Florida and had a great time. The hotel is exactly what pictured a Savannah hotel to be: comfortable and classy, yet full of charm and distinctiveness. The room was very clean and comfortable, although a lttle small. They offered many different food options for […] guests, including a delicious breakfast buffet in the beautiful courtyard. The hotel is only blocks away from Forsythe park and the Mercer house. We were able to walk to the downtown restaraunts as well, although this is not recommended on a very hot day. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend ths hotel for a short or long stay in Savannah. It is definite proof that you get what you pay for! Lisateave
