No thermostat in room, no coffee pot, though there is a fridge and microwave. I would have rather had the coffee pot and the ability to cut the AC out. The bed was prepared for summer temperature, which like I said, would be grand it it were not deathly cold in the room.

This place was ok for a stop for the night...just a place to sleep. The one positive thing I can say is that we were able to park right outside our door which we appreciated since we were traveling by motorcycle. Other than that I can't really find anything positive to say...nor do I have any major complaints...it was just ok for the money. Good deal for the money. Old but cheap, functional and clean. Quiet location, comfy bed, friendly front desk people. Not able to control temperature in room, ran ceiling fan to keep cool.

I planned to stay here for one full week while doing work in Abilene, KS. I ended up staying for five nights instead. The hotel managers (a couple) was very nice and did give me a refund for the extra nights that I would not be staying. However, the motel itself needed a lot of help. It is really, really, old. While this doesn't necessarily mean bad--it […] could be a great 1950s fixer-upper...but I felt like the room was unclean and the sink was definitely dirty when I first checked in. I ended up buying disinfectant and wiping down things myself. I also didn't know how I felt about the bedding, so I slept in a sleeping bag on top of the bed. This may have just been my own paranoia. Additionally, I stayed in February/March when it was still relatively cold outside and there is no individual heating controls in each room...it is run through the central office. It was cold. I also bought a space heater to use during my time here. The plug next the hair dryer in my room did not work and the other nearby plug did not have the third hole for the ground on the plug, so I had to jimmyrig one of the other extension cords to work. There was soap, but there was no shampoo in the room. It was very basic. The area itself is good though. There is a laundromat practically right next door and a gas station across the street. The rest of the area is residential and though old, appeared safe and middle/working class. The LeBold Mansion, Eisenhower Library, etc. were all relatively close as well. Lisateave

This hotel was clean, simple and a good value. Room contain microwave and fridge.

The spend is just too low to imagine. Plus, the environment is really great!

Great place for the price. Clean and quiet. No clock in room though, a little strange.

this was the 2nd time we stayed here and it is still a great value. this time we took the directions they give instead of goin thru town and drove by the russel stover factory instead. still a nice quite well maitaned clean hotel. lovely neighborhood no traffic noises, no upstairs guest slaming doors at 3am. this time some family took advise and stayed […] here aswell. I needed a place to stay over night while on a cross-country trip, and this was a great hotel for that purpose. It is not too far off the highway to be inconvenient, but just far enough away to be peaceful and close to the downtown. Very clean and comfortable, an intimate setting that I would definitely stay in again.
