Hotel La Vanoise - Brides-les-Bains

Only a short 100m walk up to the Gondola to 3 valleys.

Actually it is kind of disappointing having to write this review because the hotell suprised us in a positive way as soon as we locked ourself in our room. The room was bigger than expected and separate toilet and shower rooms were an added bonus, so was the rather large balcony. If you are here for skiing/snowboarding you should be aware of the fact […] that this little village is placed at the foot of one of the largest centers in Les 3 Vallées called Meribel - however, to get to Meribel you will have to take a 20 minute ride with the gondola so its not very centrally positioned. The last gondola from Meribel down to Brides-Les-Bains leaves at 17:30 so any chance of catching an after party or having fun in Meribel after you are done skiing for the day will result in a cab drive which will cost you about 60€. There are a few bars in Brides (7 at the max) but the majority of these close between the hours of 22-24 so its not exactly a party city but if you are a small family with children I will imagine that this is a perfect replacement for the party places further up the Mountains (like Meribel, Val Thorens etc...) These were the positive things, unfortunately its also necessary to mention one very negative aspect of this hotel - which is the hotel manager. After staying for the hotel for about 3 nights, an issue occured when we tried to lock ourselves in to our room one night - the key simply would not go all the way in - even if we tried this with force. Granted, this was 2 in the morning and we had been out at a bar grabbing a couple of beers - but nevertheless, I've never been able to drink myself into a state where I were unable to unlock a door and neither of us was in any such state at this time either. After trying for a couple of minutes we started worrying about our computers, cameras etc inside the hotel room and decided to call a number posted in the reception downstairs for when you needed assistance beyond the receptions opening hours. Sadly falsely promises complimentary Internet. There is no Internet in the hotel at all. They suggest you to go to a nearby hotel's lobby or bar to get access. Apart from this -- very good for its price.

Just stayed for one night. (fortunately) Large room. Simple but for the price still acceptable sanitary equimpment. Room was however not very clean, worst of all bed smelled. Kept Jeans and Jumper on. Because of this even for a small budget not acceptable

Situated right in the main street of Brides les Bains, this hotel is well situated for the ski lift to Meribel, baths, shops etc. The room was large and clean. No parking at the hotel but we found free parking just across the road.

Our expectations weren't especially high for this stay; we were trying to do 3 Valleys skiing on a tight budget. The hotel rooms were a bit tired, but perfectly clean and comfortable, and matching what we expected for 2 star hotel. However, the food was really good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay in the hotel again, […] and will recommend it to our friends. The town of Brides Les Bains doesn't have a lot to offer, but the location of the hotel is fantastic for the cable car up to Meribel and the 20 minute ride was no problem. In fact, from what we could see of Meribel from the cable car, we'd have had a much longer walk with our skis than we had staying at Hotel La Vanoise. Overall, great value for money and a great option for 3 Valleys skiing on a budget. Lisateave

Chambre de bonne dimension, agréable, pratique, propre et bien chauffée. Néanmoins elle n'a pas été vérifiée sérieusement pour ce qui concerne certains éléments de confort : téléphone en panne, coffre fermé, pas d'éclairage de l'armoire de toilette. Personnel discret et réactif. Pas démarchés pour utiliser les prestations complémentaires (repas, etc). L'hôtel […] souffre un peu des bruits tardifs de la rue. C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons en hiver, et nous recommencerons certainement eu égard aux avantages dégagés par la formule : rapidité d'accès au domainde skiable de Méribel par le téléphérique tout proche. Le préposé a su nous résoudre rapidement une organisation de groupe, arrivé d'avance. Personnel sympa, emplacement parfait, propre. Aucun commentaire négatif sur ce 2 étoiles.

Chambre classique, déco à revoir. Petit déjeuner: si vous arrivez à la fin il ne reste plus rien et le peu qu'il reste est retiré avant me^me que vous ayez terminé, c'est plutôt décevant sachant qu'en plus on avançait d'une heure ce jour là et que pour le prix du petit déj soit 12€ ils auraient pu faire de plus gros effort.

It's a nice Hotel, with basic standard and a good location in Bridge les Bains. Close to the telecabine, ski-rent, food and afterski. No or limited traffic noice. Parking are possible.

tres bon rapport qualité prix, juste un probleme avec les petits dejeuners compris qu'ils voulaient nous faire payer.
