Lord Nelson Hotel - Liverpool

From previous reviews I was nervous about my stay here. However the man on the reception immediately put my fears at rest, he was very welcoming and helpful. The front and reception of the hotel are more like a hostel but my room was definitely a hotel room. It was comfortable, clean and there was hot water for the shower at 11pm.

Great hotel excellent prices rooms are great I would give a 5 star all round would stay anytime

The two guys that I saw that worked there was the most helpful and sweet employes EVER! We watched the game together and they where so friendly and loved to talk :D I will stay in the hotel every time I go back to Liverpool! Close to shopping, transport, friendly and reasonably priced. Excellent value for money. Only negative comment would be that it could do with double glazing to block out some noise.

I did not expect such a good accomodation for the price ! Breakfast is decent, staff friendly, location is great, especially if you are to take the train. The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of shampoo and bath gel.

I stayed in the Lord Nelson hotel over the New year as a few of us decided to spend it in Liverpool. I was very happy with this hotel, staff were very friendly and couldnt be more helpful...even when returning at 6am!! The hotel was easy to find as it was so close to the Lime street railway station and the Empire Theatre. The staff were all lovely are friendly (even at 5.55am when I departed from the hotel!!!!). It was nice that the lifts weren't used between 10.00pm and 7.00am so it was less noisy so I slept better. For the price, it is excellent. Comfortable bed, good shower, nice breakfast, wi fi and bar area. And it is in a handy location.

Hotel is undergoing refurbishment so we took that into account. Little things like no drawers for clothing and no wast bin in bathroom. Also we could not get hot water although my daughter on another floor could This did not matter much as we were only staying a night. Daughter had a single room and said there was hair on the sheets on her bed. However […] hopefully once the refurbishment is completed things should improve. The rooms had just been updated and were very clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to hang the towels in the bathroom, there were no hooks or towel rails. Only stayed Tuesday to Friday, Tuesday and Thursday night were quiet but on Wednesday the rock music could be heard from 10:30 pm to 2:00 am. I picked this place because I needed to catch a very early train. It's convenience for the station is about the only thing going for it. My first impression was good. A free upgrade as they weren't full. To one of their best rooms. I shudder to think what the original room was like. The bed was uncomfortable and only had a sheet between me and the matress […] - no protector of any sort. The lock on the door was a very old style (and very old) rim night latch. When I went out I was very nervous about leaving anything in there. Probably tells a lot about the hotel that there was no remote for the TV - when I asked about it I was told that they were available on a £10 deposit. It was clean, but a very small room - the bathroom was as big as the bedroom. There was free wifi, but no desk - there wasn't even a bedside table or cabinet, probably because one would have stopped the door opening! It was just un pleasant. Lisateave

nice enough hotel, shame i only had a bath no shower!! It was close to the main shopping centres, a bit of a walk to the albert dock but there are buses. The room was comfy but was directly over the beer garden and pub beneth the hotel, which wasn't to bad except if they had an event on which the nosie never seemed to end!!! There was a place called […] o2 academy which was a concert theatre right next door so if your thinking of going to see someone there brilliant but the noise was unbeliveable when there was a concert!!!!!!!! so didn't get much sleep!! The hotel had a bar that never seemed to be open but did have a pub just off it that was ok if you like footy lol the hotel i would say was ok and thats it. Lisateave

This is the worst hotel ever. It is dirty uncomfortable, noisey, dark rooms, everything you need for your worst nightmare! Booked 5 nights only stayed 2 because it was that bad!

I stayed at Lord Nelson for 2 nights in may. This hotel is located at near the liverpool limestreet with taxis parked almost at the doorsteps of the hotel. At the other exit of the train station lies the main shopping thoroughfares. Theres plenty of eateries too.The Albert Dock is not too far away either On the downside, there is a discotheque next […] door. A great location next to the train station and close to central Liverpool.

I wasn't expecting very much because of the reviews I had read, but the Lord Nelson was exactly what I needed: a bed to sleep in. I had a non-renovated room with a bathroom en-suite and it was VERY basic: bed, sink, toilet, shower. The bathroom could definitely use a renovation because the side of the tub was peeling off. I could feel all the bed springs […] in the mattress, but I can sleep on anything, so it wasn't a problem. The Lord Nelson Hotel is for the very low maintenance person; no luxuries, no frills. It was exactly what I was looking for because I was traveling by myself. However, I can imagine that it would be noisy on the weekend since there is a club nearby (I was there Tuesday to Thursday and it was relatively quiet). If you're expecting to spend a ton of time in your room, you might be better off elsewhere. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is truly excellent. Right next to LIme Street Station, so easy for public transport links, and surprisingly quiet overnight Virtually opposite Walker Art Gallery; Albert Dock, Echo Arena, cathedrals and shops all within easy walking distance. friendly staff;.

excellent location and very friendly staff. But I don't think the cleanliness is up to standard, esp. the towels have turned from white to little light grey with obvious dust... better to bring your own towels there. the road beside this hotel is a bit busy so if living at the 1st floor it would be quite noisy. My room was at the 1st floor at first, […] but since the tap water doesn't get hot, both the bath tube and the sink, so I told the staff this and they are very helpful and changed another room for me. It's kind of on the 3rd floor and this room is better, with TV and shower instead of bath tube, and the water is hot. Breakfast just have bread, cornflakes, yogurt, apple and orange juice, tea, coffee. I just stayed there for 1 night, and the room rate is so cheap for single room (near the hostel shared-room price), so it's totally fine to me. And if I have got a chance to visit Liverpool alone someday again, probably I'll choose to stay here again, as long as the rate stays cheap. Lisateave

Nos encanto.!! En cuanto a la localización no esta en pleno centro, pero a 5 minutos andando cercano a todo. El autobus que te lleva al aeropuerto para muy cerquita. Lo que realmente me sorprendio de este hotel, es que es excepcional para su categoría, muy limpio, espacioso y confortable. Ademas tuvimos la suerte de que siendo dos nos dieron una habitación […] para tres, supongo que era porque no les quedaban de dos y esta no la tenían ocupada, asi pudimos disfrutar de mucho mas espacio del que nos correspondia. El desayuno estuvo correcto y el ambiente muy agradable. Lo recomiendo mucho en relación calidad precio. Lisateave

Hotel simples mas muito confortavel. Otima localizacao, funcionarios atenciosos e cafe da manha bom. Recomendo como uma opcao boa e barata.

Trés bien situé, le bus 500 depuis l'aéroport s'arrête juste à Lime Street, à 100 m de l'hôtel. Le personnel est adorable, la chambre trés confortable, trés propre, rien à redire sur cet hôtel!

Nelson flotaforingi hefdi ekki verid serstaklega anaedur med an kenna tetta hollunarhus vid sig, tar sem hann hefdi sennilega talid sig vera meira virdi heldur en ad hans nafn vaeri tengt vid tetta. Fann ut ad lampaskermurinn var potttettur til tess ad nota sem urhelli yfir mig, tar sem peran var sprungin og eg fekk 3 mismunandi perur til ad hafa med upp og skipta um, sparperu, e-27 peru og e-14, sem rafvirkjar vita vel hvad tydir, ein af tessum passadi og ta fattadi eg tettleika lampaskermsins til ad nota. A fostudagskvoldinu var drynjandi gradhestarokk spilad i kjallanum, sem kom fra einkasamkvaemi tar. Stod tad til half 12 eda svo tegar mismunandi drukknir gestir toku ad koma ser ut, en mjog kurteisir samt, tott fullir vaeru. The hotel is well situated right next to the central station, and just a 5 minute walk from the city centre. The hotel itself is not in the best of conditions, and it took 10 mins before I had hot water in the shower. However, the staff are friendly and eager to help and to suggest things to see in the city. Great for short stays, but maybe you'd want […] something a bit more luxurious if you're there for a week. Nogle værelser var restaureret, men det vi boede på var uden tv og kun badekar ingen bruser.

Das Lord Nelson Hotel befindet sich in optimaler Lage direkt neben dem Bahnhof Lime Street Station. Es sind ausserdem diverse Sehenswürdigkeiten binnen weniger Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Hotel eignet sich perfekt für Kurzaufenthalte. Es ist zwar eher klein, bietet aber alles Wichtige was man so braucht.

Chambre décrépie, baignoire sans la douchette, peinture de la chambre sale. Literie propre. PAs très romantique, heureusement que nous y allions pour un match de foot et que nous sommes rentré à chaque fois bourré.

No shower, not even a lamp screen, not a chair to sit in, dirty all over. You pay the the price, not even cheap. Never again. The reception people, was nice.

Kurant hotell for en natt. dette var mitt behov da jeg skulle videre neste dag og kom sent inn med fly. Som tidligere flislegger var jo ikke kvaliteten på arbeidene på baderommet særlig innbydende. her kunne deet trenges en rehab. Seng var eller helt ok og baren nede var helt grei

O Hotel nao oferece grandes instalações como por exemplo nao há TV no quarto e o banheiro fica numa área externa que em uma das vezes nao funcionou o banho quente. E o tipo de hotel pra ficar poucos dias, ainda mais se for numa epoca de iverno. Bem localizado e proximo a um supermercado 24horas o hotel é bem proximo de um ponto de taxi ja que nao há […] convenios com empresas de transfer para aeroporto, porem bem ao lado ha uma grande estaçao de metro. O quarto é gigante, tem privada, e lavabo dentro do quarto mas sem ducha. Gostei muito do atendimento. Super atenciosos. Lisateave

Jeg var på hotellet rundt 23:45, dro morran etter kl 06:30. Billig, nært lime street station og bare 20 minutter ca fra flyplassen. Ok rom. lukta ganske rart der, pysjen stinka som rommet etter en natt. Ok baderom. Et ok hotel for en natt. så litt shabby ut, veggene var ikke gjevnt malt. Resepsjonen så veldig bra ut. This hotel have probably the best location in liverpool. Just beside lime st station near all theatres, most museums and all the shopping centres in maksimum 5 minutes walking. Even then I am not satisfied. My room didn't have a tv. i can live witout I could read a book instead, but i didn't have a chair. ok i could lay on my bed, but i didn't have […] a bedlamp. in the bathroom I had a bathtub but I did not have a shower to remove the soap after a jump in the tub. The walls were dirty, and the bedlinen the day i arrived wasn't quite clean. One day after a long day in the citycentre i would have a nap in my bed at 17 o clock but suddenly it knocked on my door and few seconds after the maid jumped in to clean my room. 5 o clck in the evening!!! The staff at the reception were nice and helpful all the way. This hotel could be ok for a couple of days, but next time i will choose another myself. Lisateave

Om man kommer med tung packning från Lime Street station är läget fantastiskt - mindre än 100m från närmaste utgång från tågstationen. Jag är långtifrån gnällig vad gäller hotell - får jag en säng, tyst på natten och dusch så är jag nöjd. Så vad är haken? Jo, 1) På lördagkvällen spelade en nattklubb hög musik så att sängen vibrerade kraftigt - att byta […] till något annat i samma hotell hade knappast hjälpt. Detta höll på till kl 1 på natten. Vill man gå på denna nattklubb är det förstås inget problem, men att sova var inte att tänka på. På söndagkvällen hade nattklubben stängt, så då var det lugnt och tyst hela natten. 2) Det saknades när jag var där både varmvatten och duschslang - det fanns bara ett par små kranar i badkarskanten. För att pragmatiskt lösa problemet värmde jag vatten i en vattenkokare och byggde en dusch av ett urdrucket juicepaket :-) Rummet kändes i övrigt ganska sunkigt - inte så att det störde mig, men det kan kanske störa andra. Hotellfrukosten provade jag inte, jag åt på Lime Street Station strax intill istället. Lisateave

Liverpool är en fantastisk stad. Finns massor att se och göra shopping är ett himmelrike ! Hotellets läge är perfekt bussen från flygplatsen stannade några minuters gång väg från hotellet. Personalen på hotellet var mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma, Rummet var helt ok typisk engelsk standard. Badrum med badkar ej dusch . Frukosten var ok te ,macka,juice […] och flingor. Det gick att lämna in värdesaker i hotellets kassaskåp gratis. Vid hemresan fanns ett rum där man kunde lämna väska tills det var dags att åka till flygplatsen. Lisateave
