Cozy room, though a bit small and old. Bed and pillow are clean and comfortable. Reasonable price. Helpful staff. 10 minutes walk from the nearest subway through underground path.

We stayed 6 days and fehlt very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and provided even extra support. It's a rare case to find a hotel those days, where you can open the windows, here you have it! In the basement there is a convenient store that's more then useful for out of time snacks. The computer rental in the house is uncomplicated and provides […] a fast computer, 10$ for 24 hours only. Actually, the buses from both Osaka airports park within short walking distance . but the best is yet to mention: The mattresses of the room are excellent, we slept so well! Lisateave

Nice hotel in business area but close to the train station. Very nice and quiet. Enjoyed our stay.

Everything about this hotel was excellent--it was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Only two small problems: 1) we stayed in a 3-person room which we booked online with hotels.com, and the room we received was clearly a two person room (two twin beds) with an additional bed crammed into the otherwise spacious (for Japan standards) room. The room itself […] was gorgeously decorated and clean, but we had hoped that booking a 3-person room would mean a slightly larger-than-normal room. 2) the location was great, very close to the main Osaka train station, but like everything in Japanese cities, you must walk. We confirmed the location with the help of an online map of course, but it was a bit of a walk from the station out the Sakurabashi Exit and down a long corridor of shops from there. No problem for Japanese, but some members of our party were not accustomed to the walking, especially with luggage. Taking a taxi was an option, but seemed a waste considering the short distance (for taxis) and expensive cost. The small wedding chapel in an open-air courtyard on the 6th floor (rooms were located above that with windows facing the courtyard) was beautiful and we even randomly saw a wedding party on the weekend. Steps away from subway and less than 5 min. from JR station. Room 1331 was tight for a family of 4, but overall a good place to lay one's head. Nicely decorated in French style.

Quite nice hotel, the location is near to the umeda station, easy transfer and shopping. Room space is not so big, but still ok.

Comport and convienient!! Its near (3-4min walk) to JR station - Sakurabashi Exit and its right across Herbis and Litz Calton Hotel.

You should visit this hotel if you like old style (western) hotel. There is a church on the 8/F and we love it.

We (family of 4) stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. The triple room was small but sufficient and comfortable, bathroom clean and bigger than some other hotels we've stayed in in Japan, with all amenities well-stocked. About 10 minutes' walk from Osaka station, and convenience stores, a small supermarket, and many dining choices nearby. It's next to […] a hospital but the neighbourhood is fairly quiet. The only grouse is that the lifts (quaint, old-fashioned types) are slow in coming, especially when there are events going on in the hotel (a frequent occurrence while we stayed there). There's an airport limousine (bus) that you can take from the airport that takes about 40 minutes. It drops you at Hotel Herbis, which is about a block and a half away from the Hotel Monterey. Vey comfortable hotel within easy walk from JR Osaka station. Close to restaurants and convenience stores. Decor is interestingly oldfashioned and luxurious for a business hotel. We felt very much at home and were sad to leave. Furnishings and toiletries are of a high standard. Staff were friendly and efficient on check in and departure. Although close to JR station and the railway line there was no problem with noise provided we kept the windows closed. If it can supply wifi, should be more better.

A hotel with ease of airport transfer and ease of access to rail and subway facilities. Plus, shopping district within Umeda area. One area of improvement is the lacking of free Wifi access at lobby. Compare to many hotel I have stayed in Kansai area, free Wifi at lobby is avail for free to hotel guests.

Hotel is no complaint, but the train station beside the hotel is a nuisance. Its starts every morning at 5 am, and there it goes the noise till midnight. If u are light sleeper, no no for this hotel.

It is convenient for taking the JR, but not for the other parts of Umeda. Bed size is moderate. There isn't a convenience store nearby.

It is so far from subway station. It will take about 10min by walking . Others OK.

This is a small hotel but it packs a punch. It is clean, neat and well maintained but rooms are tiny. Its proximity to JR Osaka, eating & shopping venues lifts it from good to excellent. If you can get a good internet deal, then so much the better. Bring your own coffee, sugar & milk as these are not provided. Small fridge is adequate for stocking up […] your own breakfast supplies. Bathroom amenities are above average. Robes, slippers, towels all good quality. Beds are comfortable. Keep looking for SAKURABASHI Gate and you will have no problems finding the hotel. We stayed 4 nights and the only issue we had was the air conditioning - not cold enough. This could have something to do with electricity usage being controlled due to earthquake/tsunami after effects. Lisateave

The elevators, rooms, and decor of the entire hotel remind one of a mid twentieth century New York hotel. My overall stay in Hotel Monterey was a pleasant one. WIthin 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel is Osaka Station, the main hub for access all across Osaka. Within 5 minutes walking distance is a 24 hour convenient store and within 30 seconds walking distance is a Starbucks Coffee which is quite handy in the mornings on your way out or after long, […] tiring days. The hotel itself permeates a chic style through a sort of antiquated decor. Doesn't lend itself much in the way of overall comfort but I did find the look quite unique and as such the room felt rather charming. All that aside though the room I stayed in was decently sized, the beds were comfortable enough and the bathroom was small but tolerable. Nothing really stood out as being exceptional but as I mentioned before the style of the hotel really did it for me and I grew attached to it and even found myself sad to leave when check out time came. If you're not one for extravagances then this place should suit you just fine. It's location is perfect if trains are your intended method of transportation. Being close to the train station makes food easily accessible too. The station is surrounded by hotels with restaurants available for those who prefer to eat in style (and are willing to pay a little extra) while within the station itself there are plenty of fast food joints both familiar (McDonalds) and more cultural (Ramen Bars) with hearty meals for usually under 1000 yen. I must give special mention to the staff here too. It was my first time in Japan when I stayed here and I had trouble locating an ATM that would accept international credit cards. I went to the front desk and asked for assistance thinking it was a long shot that they would know anything about it and, of course, they didn't, but they went out of their way and researched it for me and provided me with a solution in the end. I came across a few pleasant surprises with this hotel. Firstly, the chapel in the sky is a very interesting space and dining at the surrounding restaurants were lovely experiences. Although, during my first stay I a small room, they ended up giving me a bigger room for my second. Both rooms were of the same type. Their conditions also varied a little; […] the bigger were older and less wellmaintained, while the smaller was vice versa. The English proficiency of the staff was also rather average so do not expect to have most of your questions answered if you cannot ask them in Japanese. Nonetheless, the staff were all very helpful, well-mannered and willing to help. The trek from Osaka station can be a bit tedious if you are lugging a lot of stuff with you. The most direct route from the station to the hotel is also not very obvious, so you should ask around to avoid taking the long route. Lisateave

I would recommended everything about this hotel. The room was clean, its was close to the Osaka station and it a very safe area. It was quite. It is small but you're in Japan. And great value for money.

This hotel is clean with many comforts, no need to over-pack toiletries, all is available. Staff helpful with day-planning. Convenient to subway and JR station on the Osaka loop line (all major attractions) and the airport bus. There is also a Starbucks next door! Hotel is located a short walking distance to subway and Japan Rail systems. The rooms are small but comfortable for the limited time spent in the rooms. Everything is supplied eg. hair clips, toothbrushes etc. i would recommend the Hotel. starbucks next door, great coffee.

The hotel is right in the thick of things, but it's somewhat hard to find. When I asked for directions no one ever told me the same way twice. lol. I needed the hotel business card and map so cab drivers could take me back to the hotel.

Hotels facilities are good, but its location is not close to downtown.

We received an amazing deal on this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. It was right off the subway line which was very convenient. The staff were wonderful and the hotel was beautiful

Soviel gleich zuerst: in keinem bisherig besuchten Hotel in Japan sind wir derart herzlich empfangen und betreut worden. Kann auch daran liegen, dass man im Hotel heiraten kann ("integrierte" Kapelle) und man deswegen sehr herzlich ist. Jeder Wunsch (weicheres Kissen, wo finden wir Après Soleil, Kofferwaage) wurde uns erfüllt oder mindestens sehr gut […] weitergeholfen. Abzüge gibts dafür in der Zimmerausstattung: das Zimmer ist sehr klein und dann auch noch vollgestellt mit Möbeln, das Bett ist nicht 2m lang, sondern 1.90m und die Putzfrau hat von der Vorgängerin eine Haarspange vergessen. Auch die Badewanne hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Man sieht mindestens, dass das Inventar gebraucht wird/ist. Dennoch: nettes Hotel 5 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Osaka und dem pulsierenden Zentrum entfernt. Lisateave

오사카 출장 시 투숙하는 호텔입니다. 기존에는 한큐인터네셔날 호텔에서 묶었는데, 위치가 역이랑 너무 멀리 떨어서 있어서 몬테레이로 변경했습니다. 호텔근처 하비스에서 공항으로 가는 버스 탈수 있고, 지하랑 연결되어 있어서 비가 오는 날에서 짐들고 왔다갔다 하기 편합니다. 단, 침대가 오래된 듯 편한 느낌은 없습니다.

３日間の滞在中　社員の　笑顔の対応が 見られない。暗い。お客様を、第一に、とは、感じられない。サービス業は何と、言っても、笑顔が、第一です。 電話の対応が、今一です。 社員の教育が、なっていないと感じます。 荷物を送る場所の、照明が、暗い。 初めて利用したのですが、１つよい点は シャワーが、よかったと思います。

1、以車站附近的商務飯店來說，空間算不錯，行李箱打開還有走道可以走。 2、鐵道就在旁邊，隔音雖不錯，但隱約可聽到火車聲。 3、每天換床單，很乾淨。 4、其實離各車站都有10~15分鐘的步行距離。 5、第一次去不好找，梅田地區跟迷宮差不多。

とくに朝食会場が貧相で、あまり良い印象はない。提供される食材にも良いものが無く、値段の割に満足度は低い。ホテルのコンセプトは良いのだから、改善してもらいたい。

トリプルに宿泊予約させて頂きました。 事前に駐車場の件でＴＥＬした時の電話対応は非常に好印象で楽しみにして行きました。 大人2名と幼児2名（一人は添い寝）で行かせて頂きましたが、フロント対応は説明が馴れていない感じで残念でした。 ＲＯＯＭはトリプルなので広いとは言い難いですが普段はツイン使用でしょうから広いと思いました。 掃除も行き届いていて良かったです。 しかし、朝食時にまだ席についているのも関わらず声かけもなくお皿を片づけられた事には驚きました。朝食会場が婚礼会場だったことに後で知りましたが、入場時にでもそこことをお知らせ頂くか、片付ける時に一言いただけたら良かったと思います。 チャックアウトはスムーズで良かったし、駐車場係りの方の対応も好印象でした。

현대식 건물사이로 펼쳐진 유럽식 호텔느낌 너무 좋았습니다. 처음 찾기는 힘들었지만, 알고보니 지하철하고도 너무 가까운 호텔. 전 객실의 느낌이 너무 좋았습니다. 유리문과 안쪽에서 빛을 차단하는 나무 창문이 너무 인상적이였습니다.

思っていた以上に綺麗で、アンティーク感が気に入りました。 料金設定以上よりの感動をいただけ、かなり満足しました。 一人での宿泊でも、広いお部屋を設定していただけましたし、よかったです。 大阪に行く際はまた利用したいと思いますし、友人にも早速勧めたいと思います。
