Hall Place Bed and Breakfast - Glasgow

This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast, but will not be our last. We are already making plans around attractions in the area so we can return. The service was great, but I hesitate to even call it service because it was as if we were welcomed into an old friend's home. I felt as if I had been transported back to my great grandparent's home, […] built in the late 1800's. I visited there once a year as a child, and I always looked at it as a trip back in time. Great old pictures, great stories, friendly owners, wonderful local history you don't often get to experience. Hall Place Bed and Breakfast was well worth the trip. Lisateave

My first experience with a b & b couldn't have been more enjoyable! Karin and Gary (innkeepers) are two of the nicest people I've ever met, made us feel welcome and like family. The home is gorgeous, you step back in time and if walls could talk, you'd sit there forever. Absolutely mind-blowing to learn that Lincoln stayed here and that under the kitchen, […] there's part of the underground railroad! My daughter (who is 9) and I, stayed here for two nights. We chose this house because of previous excellent reviews (spot on) and proximity to our destination (Mammoth Cave). Our bed was very comfortable and our room was beautiful. This home has a tea room. If you have time, have an afternoon tea with Karin's scrumptious scones! And speaking of scrumptious, the breakfasts were amazing; home-made waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. I can't say enough good things about Hall Place. My daughter wanted to add to this review by saying "it's awesome!". If I ever get back to this area, this is where I'll stay! Lisateave

Was a nice stay. The owner is a little chatty, but very nice. The house is beautiful and the history is very interesting. If you don't like dust I wouldn't stay here, as they have many collections and there is a bit of dust, not that it's dirty, just not a dust free environment. Also didn't get clean towels on the second day, but as we had hung our […] towels to dry it wasn't a big deal. I'm sure if we would have asked we would have received them. All and all a very nice stay and I would recommend it to others. Lisateave

Our stay at this B&B was excellent. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The room was comfortable, clean and inviting. The breakfast was also great. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This B&B is the cutest place I have ever stayed. It is decorated in an antique motif reminiscent of the turn of the century. The couple who runs it are wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. I Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Mammoth Cave area.

Standing in the sun-filled hallway, surrounded by the items from a by gone era one feels such a connection with the past. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to those who love antiquities.

My teenage daughter and I stayed there while visiting Mammoth Cave National Park, less than a half hour away. Glasgow is a charming small town and this Bed and Breakfast is early 19th century in date and conveniently located to the old-fashioned town square and shops. The rooms were a little overwhelming with the number of antiques and period paraphernalia, […] but the beds were comfortable and the baths clean and modern, but with nice decorative touches. The parlor and dining areas were lovely, and the breakfast was really nice - we shared breakfast with six other lively travelers in 19th century splendor, with fruit, homemade waffles, eggs, bacon, toast and outstanding coffee. The rooms had cable TV, internet, refrigerators, and many amenities and the price was great! My daughter and I occupied a two room suite that was quite economical. The inn keepers were a nice couple who told us a lot about the history of the house and the town in general. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend it to others! Lisateave

We got to the place 2 hours earlier than expected, then found out we went across a time zone, so we were actually three hours early. They allowed us to check in early - we only had to wait about 15 minutes for them to finish cleaning the room. While we were waiting, we were given a tour of the place.
