The Park Hotel - Liverpool

I have had a very unpleasant 4 days stay at this hotel. It is advertised as free wifi but they don't really work in your room, you have to do down in reception. The bed sheets did not smell fresh, the bathroom floor was sticky when I walked in and it just does not smell clean at all. Please do not have dinner in this hotel, in fact I have not seen one […] person going for dinner in the 4 nights I stayed there. Breakfast was very basic and how slow these servers are, no manners and not even a smile. Never again Lisateave

We were down attending the nearby Walton Hospital with family member. We saw via Hotels.com that the hotel welcomes pets. This is not the case. However after signing a disclaimer we were allowed to keep our small dog with us. Please be aware of this inaccuracy in your hotel info.

Stayed here for the night before the footy at Anfield, is a bit out of town but only a cab ride away to the centre. Great staff friendlly that do their jobs professionally Hotel is an older style needs a bit of an update decor wise. Room was clean and tidy on the third floor. secuirity was good. internet connection was by LAN lead which the recetionist provider good and fast broardband. Full cooked breakfast very good and I ate in the Bar in the evening which wasgood and very reasonably priced. Very nice hotel little dated good location for aintree racecourse,liverpool & Everton football clubs, breakfast excellent, 1st class bar ,good beer, the staff at this hotel are superb nothing is to much trouble will be staying again on my next trip to liverpool

The room was dim with poor lighting, small window, Cleanliness was good although the cleaner didn't get around until late afternoon, staff spent a lot of the time talking instead of working. The same at breakfast the waiting staff spent a lot of time stood around talking instead of taking orders which slowed things down and also meant people sitting […] at tables not fully set up for breakfast. Although I have two complaints about this hotel it would not put me off returning here at some other time . My complaint is it stated that there would be bath robes in the room and there was not and the shower was not just cold but freezing even after letting in run for a while it didn't get any warmer.

The hotel is clean and well maintained - it looks very nice from the outside and is not a disappointment on the inside. The staff are very friendly especially the barman and the food we had was excellent although there was some confusion with the receptionist as I wanted to charge the food to my room but she had not set my card up to do this even though […] she swiped it twice. The room we had was big and had a nice bath and shower. Wifi is available but only if you are in the reception lounge area but it is quite comfortable sitting there on the sofas surfing away. Although the outside wasnt particularly attractive, the inside was very nice. Our room was very large and comfortable, with a very clean en suite. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here with my sister. My parents and younger brother stayed in a different hotel close by. Very disappointed. Room not dusted - ledge above bed was dusty the whole time of my stay. Staff tried to charge us for breakfast which had been paid for in advance; fortunately I had a copy of my booking with me or I may have had to pay twice for breakfast! […] While we were enjoying breakfast - waiter approached us and stated we would have to pay for it! He stated the price of breakfast and was none too courteous. Breakfast very disappointing - poor choice and selection, would not be worth paying extra for! Arrived one morning at 8.55am and breakfast was finished! Bed poor - mattress very uncomfortable. Carpet on stairs threadbare. Very poor in comparison with hotel my parents stayed in. Room very small and I suffer from a dust allergy, so I had a terrible time. Sorry but I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. Contacted hotel on return and they said they would look into the issues I had but to be honest, I was disappointed in so many things, it would take commitment to put them all right. Staff were hepful and gave me a room at the back of the hotel, away from the noisy road. The room was inexpensive and was ok for a one night stay.

Generally the Hotel was ok. The National bar was very nice and the food was great. The room itself was ok, however the bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom could do with a deep clean.

Staff were great as was the room. Just a little tlc needed in some areas ie making beds and dusting less obvious areas. We would stay again but will be comparing prices first.

This hotel was booked as a cheaper alternative to the prohibitively expensive ones in Liverpool city centre. Even taking into account the taxi fares to and from the station, Anfield and the city restaurants this proved to be a better choice. I stayed at this hotel for one night to do my christmas shopping in liverpool. It was about a 10 minute drive away from the city centre so was in a good location. do not be fooled by your first imprsssion! On driving in to the car park the hotel does look rather run down. However, the service is excellent, restaurant food very good and room comforatble and quiet. would ceratianly recommend for Anfield. Hoping to stay again when we play everton in december.

Eventually I found the enterance to the hotel, I was confused but maybe thats me. Spacious car park. The Hotel does look as though a bit of TLC wouldn't go amiss but I'm pretty laid back as long as it's clean which it was. Room was tired, clean and adequate and I don't think it worth moaning about, I slept well in a good bed. The was a socket on the […] wall saying Internet.... it didn't work. As WiFi is advertised I tried, when I enquired the router was under the reception desk on the ground fllor, no chance on the 2nd floor, receptionist said some rooms get a weak signal on the first floor. however I was welcome to sit by reception and use the WiFi. I tried but the network key didn't work, the hotel staff didn't know either as it had changed recently so I gave up and work emails had to wait. I wandered into the dining room for dinner, waited and waited... went to the bar and read my book for an hour. Went back to the dinning room and found a member of staff and odered. When the food arrived it was VERY GOOD and the service I recieved from the single member of staff excellent and friendly. The same can be said for a very good breakfast as well. Overall it was tired but good enough and I would go back. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower and bathroom clean. So close to being Good Lisateave

The outside of the building did not inspire us when we arrived, the interior was not much better. The bar area, looked as though it had been refurbished, however, the chairs were disgustingly dirty. Before arriving I managed to get an upgrade to and "Excecutive" suite, but the room was dark, and furnishings old, the bathroom had been refurbed, but was […] showing to show signs of wear & tear, the carpet was again disgustinly dirty, and the dust etc behind the furniture was horrible. Jeg og en kompis dro til Liverpool for å se kamp, og innlosjerte oss på The Park Hotel for 2 netter. Lite og koselig sted. Helt greit frokosttilbud, og blide og hyggelige ansatte. Litt gammel stil, og rengjøringen kunne vært bedre enkelte plasser, spesiellt badet. Men vi var der for å se fotball og byen og sove, så det utgjorde ikke noe problem for […] oss, men om man skulle tilbringt mye tid på hotellet, eller være i Liverpool for en uke eller mer, ville jeg nok valgt ett annet sted å bo. als zakenreiziger kies je voor hotels met een snelle internetverbinding. Dit was nu het probleem: op geen enkele manier was een verbinding te leggen en hoewel de dame aan de receptie van goede wil was, heb ik geen verbinding kunnen maken. Voor de rest alles ok.
