Inn Keeper, Bob was a total pleasure. He made us feel very welcome upon arrival with the fireplace going in the room, fresh flowers, a bottle of wine - he even brought over a "pet welcome basket" for my pug, complete with bed and treats. I enjoyed having the small kitchenette in the room, stocked with pastries, juice and a delicious quiche for breakfast. […] No great dining options immediately in town but the short drive to Nudel in Lenox is scenic and well worth the 15 minute trip. This hotel was absolutely excellent. The attention to detail in our room was the best I have ever come acrossand I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world. The classical music as you walk, the complimentary wine, the iPOD player. The teas, coffees breakfast in our room were all just wonderful. Stongly recommended

We/ve been coming to the Berkshires for years and usually stay in Lenox. This time we wanted a "pet friendly" location. Shaker Mill Inn was in nearby West Stockbridge. We were pleased to find a comfortable suite, with a separate entrance, spacious sleeping, lounging and kitchen areas, charming decor and fresh flowers, situated in a quiet corner of a […] small village -- and all at a better price than we have found at less accommodating locations. I booked at this inn based on terrific reviews on this and other travel sites. I loved everything about it. A large comfortable room with sitting area and small breakfast table where every possible need was anticipated. Delightful propriator and charming grounds. Finding my room after dark and after the office was closed was a little tricky as the stairwell entry looked like a foyer for a downstairs room from the outside. However, the room itself was lovely - a sitting room with kitchenette and a comfortable bedroom area with sliding doors which allowed in fresh air and a private outside deck area. The inn owners […] were thoughtful in providing all the basic amenities as well as magazines and breakfast items for the next morning. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice getaway or a different experience than a traditional hotel room. Lisateave

We wanted to find a place where we could vacation with our dogs and found the best place at Shaker Mill Inn in West Stockbridge. This is a beautiful place with great dog-loving owners who provided us with not only a great, comfortable and wonderfully decorated space, but a basket with doggie towels, bowl with treats and a copy of Doggin' the Berkshires, […] which we used to find the local nature trails to hike. Our four-day stay could not have been more enjoyable and we plan on returning here and have already recommended this place to several friends ! Thank you, Bob and Mary !! Lisateave

Our host did a very good job of anticipating our needs for the area, right down to handy umbrellas. Very clean and comfortable, We plan to return.

If your looking for a relaxing place to stay stop looking. This is the place. Extremely clean and quiet. The owners and staff bend over backwards to make sure it is. Your welcome as soon as you arrive. It's a gem tucked away in a sleepy Hamlet in Mass but near NY and Ct. You won't regret your stay.

Very roomy, excellent host, a good experience.

This place is a real find. The rooms are enormous and exceedingly comfortable. The owners live on site and are accommodating and anxious to please without being intrusive. It all makes for a very relaxing stay.
