Very friendly helpful staff. All the rooms were ocean front with a great view. The facility could use some updating but was not bad for the cost.

Somewhat noisy, not what one would expect judging by the price. Also, the front desk staff should not say things like: "we need this in case you guys thrash the room" and make comments about how fatigued we looked. Unprofessional.

I loved the hotel, very good service, breakfast as well, swiming pool and jakuzi very nice.

We had a great visit at the Gold Beach Resort. The room was spacious and it was nice that we could bring our dogs. The complimentary breakfast was very good, even though the breakfast room was very cold (it was freezing outside). The bed was a little soft. The view from our second floor room was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again!

I was pleasantly surprised the hotel was better than the pictures or star rating. Hot tub was heaven on a cold day and loved the full hot breakfast. This was a real treat:)

Very freindly and helpful staff. Right on the beach. Complimentery breakfast was surprisingly good, and liked the winter rates. Will stay here next time in town

The hotel rooms are really old and in need of an upgrade but the hotel was clean and everything worked. Very conveniently located next to the beach and off 101 and most rooms seem to have an ocean view.

Decent place to stay. Only complaint is the bed is too soft and make noise when you sleep, perhaps the mattress is old.

Large sized room, balcony open to the Pacific Ocean, pleasant receptionist. Suggest getting a room on 2nd or 3rd floor to view the ocean.

Would not stay here! Very poor condition. Everything was old and musty. Breakfast was very basic and everyone was squashed into a minute room.

My daughter (15) and I stayed for only 1 night--I wish we would have had time to stay longer as we had to get back to Redding. The people here were SO NICE!! The rooms were PERFECT-- Beautiful VIEWS..OMG we cannot wait to come back.. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

I had stayed at 3 seperate hotels over one weekend and this one was the most expensive and my room smelled like animal feces/urine. Pets are allowed at this HOTEL (this place definitely should NOT be named a RESORT) which is fine but I should not be a guest with no pets and feel like i had one in the room with me. It was basic and I had higher expectations […] due to the name of the establishment. I would not return and would not recommend this hotel to others. Lisateave

Second floor room was noisy due to room above. Room was hot and you could not control the room fan to cool it off. Could hear water running due to early risers. Staff would not switch room to top floor at check-in 4:30 PM. For such an expensive room, you shouldn't have to hear all the noise and every hotel room should have a fan system to muffle the […] sounds. Carpet was not the cleanest either. Lisateave

The hotel staff was very accomodating and the view from our room was beautiful. Breakfast was good and the room was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were very friendly and we received a free upgrade to a king-size room wth an ocean view. The room was super with very comfortable beds and sofa, spacious and clean. We were also given a 15% discount at the restaurant, Spinners, within walking distance which had very good food and service. Free wifi and coffee making facilities with real mugs. […] Only the rather rundown breakfast room lets the hotel down--circa 1970 brown decor, very different from the quality of the room. They were also hosing the walkways when we returned after breakfast which made it difficult to return upstairs and avoid getting wet. These were the only minor drawbacks to a great room where we would stay again. Lisateave

Hotel experience was okay. it would have been much better if guests were allowed to bring the continental breakfast items to our rooms to eat while enjoying the beautiful ocean view from the balcony of our room (which was on the pricier side). However, this is not allowed and they charge you if you bring your breakfast to your room. Signs were posted […] in many locations regarding this policy. Lisateave

Will stay there again. Lovely rrom and view, very nice breakfast. Hotel staff outstanding. The front desk clerk found us a praking spot and personally escorted us to our room.

This is not a resort hotel, it's a motel. In comparison to other hotels we've stayed in, it was expensive for what it was. Most of the rooms seem to have a sea view - perhaps this explains the price. The room was OK. The plastic chairs on the balcony looked grubby and not at all inviting. The carpet in the breakfast room (which is also apparently a […] gymnasium, though there was no equipment on display) was dirty. I would only recommend this hotel if there was nowhere else available wihtin the same price range. Lisateave

This hotel had a great ocean view and was in a quiet location. I would stay there again.

Beds were old, soft and squeaky. Breakfast was pathetic even by cheap hotel standards. The view was nice. TV did not have a PBS station available.

We had a very nice overnight stay. The beach is close and the hotel has an easy trail to get there. Pool and spa were pleasant amenities! Staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

The staff at check in was very friendly and help full with dinner recommendations and discounts for guests. The room was good sized but the head was not on when I arrived. I turned on the heat and went to dinner. When I returned a member of the staff was ready to move me to another room but mine had warmed up. The bed was comfortable. It appeared that […] foam padding was added to give the appearance of a pillow top mattress. Check out was simple and quick. This was not a bad place for an overnight stay while driving up the 101. We spend the night there on the way to see relatives further north. It was convenient, comfortable, and provided everything we needed for one night. Plus it is right no the Oregon coast, which was stormy and wonderful. The price was right; we had no complaints.

Average motel. If you have never been there, be aware that this IS a motel. I am not sure where they get the word RESORT. I would not pay over a hundred for this location.

The beds at the hotel are old, hard, and uncomfortable. The views were nice. The pool and spa were a great advantage of the hotel except for the excessive signs and rules plastered everywhere. The hotel staff were nice. Worth the money considering location and amenities, but don't expect any comfort as far as sleeping is concerned.

Great ocean view. Rooms are large and well kept. Complimentary breakfast was adequate, but could've benefitted from some protein and/or fruit choices. Had a nice dinner at nearby restaurant, spinners.

staff was good, hotel condition was getting a little old and beds were rock hard.
