Iberotel Luxor - Luxor

Small friendlyhotel, given warm welcome on arrival. Conveniently situated for all Luxor sites majority within walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice of food for breakfast, not over impressed with evening buffet. Lots of good restaurants in the city though. Would go again

The Iberotel is in a fantastic location. Great pool located right on the Nile. Fantastic views from the patio and pool area. The room was a showing some age but clean and comfortable. Will look to stay here again if I return to Luxor.

One of the best travel values on the planet - and I've been everywhere. Easy walk to Temple of Karnak and the central shopping markets. Such an experience. Located on the Nile, the hotel has a riverfront garden. Lit by Chinese lanterns at night, there is a pinkish glow. Sit on the terrace with a beer and watch the feluccas sail by. At night the cliffs […] of the Valley of the Kings, on the opposite bank, are floodlit. Pay the extra for a room on the Nile - the value is so good. Pizzeria & Chinese restaurant are OK, but it's the stuffed leather chairs in the English bar, or on the terrace, where you want to be. Great service. They hustle. I will return, Lisateave

This hotel had a beautiful view of the Nile (it's right on it) and gorgeous outdoor areas to enjoy it and a sandwich or drink. The hotel staff was extra friendly and took care of whatever needs we had. The breakfast buffet was great with freshly baked breads and pastries along with other breakfast essentials like eggs, fruits, cheese, yoghurt etc... […] Location was great, it was an easy walk to Luxor Temple and the main Bazaars and a short drive to Karnak temple. Good Hotel,well located and good price. Loads of hassle outside the door from various hustlers but that's Luxor in it's current state of lack of tourism.

I thought this hotel was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly, was in a great location and had a fantastic pool that sat out over the nile. It was good value for money. They had great food and prices but were a little bit slow bringing them... Only one thing that i think was a negative but understandable, You were not aloud to bring anything […] from outside the hotel in like drinks or food, snacks...etc i think if im paying to stay i should be able to do what i like.. well to reason. the other thing i didnt like was when swimming and sunbathing the boat staff would just steer and it was alittle bit creepy. Location: Excellent. Beautiful view of the Nile. Service very good. Staff extremely pleasant and attentive. The bar is outstanding and breakfast buffet very good with copious choices, but hot and cold. Very good value! I will go back.

Hotel is in excellent location. Close to every attraction on the east bank of the nile like Luxor Temple, Luxor Musuem, Mummification museum, Karnak Temple, Felucca rides, etc. It also has great restaurants on-site overlooking the nile. Awesome experience to relax, have a drink after a tiring sight-seeing day. However, the rooms are really really old. […] TV was from the 1970s. No clock in the room. Bathroom was too small. The hotel is very well located and in a nice area of Luxor, rooms are spacious and clean . Food was not very good and a bit expensive but we would definately stay at the hotel again

About the best location you can get for a great price! Withing a few minutes walk to the waterfront with good food and boat rides. A short walk to the Luxor Temple for day and nighttime visits. My room was modern and well appointed with a balcony with a lovely view to the Nile. A pleasant surprise was a hotwater jug for teamaking. No other hotel I have been to in Egypt has this facility which for Westerners is a must. The real gem in the crown of this hotel is the lovely terraced gardens running down to the NIle where a short footbridge leads […] onto a pontoon which contains the swimming pool. To the side of the pool is a shaded kiosk where you can buy snacks and drinks.. Birdlife abounds in the gardens and well placed , comfortable tables and chairs allow you to really relax as you gaze upon the magic of the Nile. Lisateave

Very friendly and professional staff - especially at check-in. Clean and comfortable room. Pretty decent breakfast buffet. Hotel has a good location in Luxor... Walking distance to town center, train station, Luxor temple, ferry to west bank etc. Only slight 'negatives' were: 1. Traffic noise from the busy street outside. Our 'city view' room was on […] the 4th floor so if you are a light sleeper best book a 'Nile view' or inside 'courtyard/lobby view room'. The city view is not worth anything - unless you like busy intersections and building sites. 2. No fresh juice at breakfast buffet, just a big tank of 'from powder concentrate' style 'juice'. 3. Expensive Internet (wifi) access. 4. Low water-pressure in shower (4th floor room) 5. Awkward access to bath/shower - I was worried about slipping every time and I'm sure older guests would have difficulty. Overall a good place to stay and excellent value for money! Lisateave

The place was just ok. The rooms are simple and a bit outdated but spacious, and bed is ok. The best of the hotel is the location by the river Nil, and the swiming pool in a boat over the river has magnificent views. It's also quite close to Luxor temple. On the cons side, internet wifi is not free and it didn't work when I was there.

We knew we had picked a good place to stay in Luxor when the taxi driver told us "you can eat off the floor at Iberotel". From the reception area to the dinning hall to the hotel room, everything was clean and in order. The staff was helpful and friendly; they even broke a few large bills into change for us so we could tip for services around town. The […] location is fantastic; directly on the east bank of the Nile. It's only a 10-minute walk to Luxor Temple and the bazaar area. If you're arriving to or leaving from Luxor by train, the station is a short walk or horse & carriage ride away. Nile-view rooms are nice, but if you want to save a little money, try to get a street view room on the corner where you can still still the river and mountains on the west bank. All in all, a great price for a great hotel in a legendary city! Lisateave

umm, I would say just 10 minutes by taxi from Airport charging around 50 to 100 Egyption Pound which is negociable. about the hotel very nice and beautiful location on the bank of the river nile. They have floating swimimg pool in river nile boat. cleanliness, Food, Staff and accomodation just wonderful. Market and Railway station on walking distance […] by 5 minutes Value for your money. you are getting something more than your money. My brother and I stayed here in 9/09. This is a nice hotel in Luxor, right on the Nile. Great outdoor seating area and a nice pool. The rooms are nice enough. Nothing fancy, but clean and acceptable. The bathroom is basic too. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly impressive, and there's also a nice Chinese restaurant on the property. The hotel staff […] seemed a little inexperienced. I would suggest arranging tours on your own. One great feature is that there's an HSBC ATM and money exchange location right outside the hotel. Overall, for the price, I think this place is an outstanding value. Lisateave

The staff were fantastic. Was very surprised to find a 'swan-towel' wearing my glasses and reading my travel itinerary when i returned to my room, made for lots of laughs (and a good tip)! The breakfast is good too. Our trip was made very enjoyable by a guide named Mahmoud, he understands tourism and how we dont like to be pestered (or ripped off) […] on every corner, this is the norm in Egypt and gets old fast. He’s with Princess Tours (I think) and I would leave his number, but this website wont allow! He also recommended a lovely little local restaurant called Smileys (again with the cheese...), where I enjoyed the best steak I have had in ages. Walks along the promenade while enjoyable gets old fast with the constant offerings of horse and carriage or taxi's or felucca, but this is how they make their living and there are a lot of them so try to be patient. I got to the point where everyone only gets one 'no' and then no more eye contact and just ignore them. I dont recommend Luxor, or any place in Egypt as the type of holiday that a female can travel alone. I was with my husband most of the time, but on the odd occasion I was alone, the pestering got so tiring I went straight back to the hotel. I personally dont like this kind of attention, but ladies if you want to be admired/gawked at/blown kisses etc, this is your place! Dont let this spoil your trip and please know you are very safe in Egypt. Tourism in Egypt accounts for 75% of all jobs so policing is fierce. Lisateave

El personal muy amable, cogimos una habitacion con vistas al Nilo. Yo no la hubiera cogido, ya que los mosquitos (pero de esto no tiene culpa el hotel) te comen. Mejor coger una habitación interior y disfrutar de las vistas del Nilo desde su maravillosa terraza y piscina.

Equipe parfaite, chambre tre belle (on avait pris les chambres vu sur le Nil), et voila

Het personeel was heel behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid. Er waren verschillende goede eetgelegenheden in het hotel. Het water in het zwembad was wel erg fris.

Excellent service souriant, vue incroyable depuis le 5e etage, piscine sur le Nil...

다 좋은데 호텔 문을 나서자마자 몰려드는 삐끼들. 그리고 삐끼들의 바가지. 정말 이집트는 다시는 가고 싶지 않다...

Ystävällinen henkilökunta, tasokas hotelli, kaunis näkymä Niilille, hyvä aamiainen, loistava huonepalvelu (käytännössä ilman lisämaksuja).

慣れない一人旅でしたが、フロントの男性たちがみなフレンドリーで清潔感があり、安心感が持てました。ホテルの庭から見たナイル川の夕日は最高の思い出になりました！ナイルを見るには良い立地だと思います。

Ligger perfekt i forhold til støj og centrum. Lidt ældre stil, men pænt og rent. Fin morgenmad.

Hotel perto do templo de Luxor. Um achado pelo preço, localização e serviço.

ナイル川に面したデラックスルームを選択。夕べのナイル川は本当に絶景ですした。部屋は清潔に保たれてているものの、少し古い雰囲気があります。また、HP上に掲載されているデラックスルームはシティが面したもので、予想に反してかなりせまく感じました。ホテルの朝食もそれなりにありますし、スタッフもとても親切でした。

Goed hotel met lekker zwembad en airco op de kamer, goed verzorgd ontbijt en goede bediening. Wat wil je nog meer.

το ξενοδοχειο ηταν σε εξαιρετικη θεση στο κεντρο του Λουξορ διπλα στο Νειλο.Τα δωματια σε πολυ καλη κατασταση και ευρυχωρα.Ηκαθαριοτητα σε υψηλο επιπεδο.Μονο αυτα που βλεπουν στο δρομο ειχαν λιγη φασαρια.Η τιμη του παρα πολυ καλη για υπηρεσιες ξενοδοχειου 4 αστερων.Το προσωπικο στη ρεσεψιον ευγενεστατο και εξυπηρετικο.Το πρωινο εξαιρετικο.Μοναδικο μειονεκτημα […] οι υψηλοτατες και πανακριβες τηλεφωνικες υπηρεσιες.Για 3 λεπτα τηλ. στην Ελλαδα πληρωσα 216 λιρες Αιγυπτου και αυτο γιατι χρεωνονται και οι αναπαντητες κλησεις.Το προτεινω ανεπιφυλακτα.Ειναι οντως value for money Lisateave
