Great Wolf Lodge , Ripley's Water Park Resort - Niagara juga

Great for younger kids. Took our 2 and 4 year old there. Water park was great and not crowded. We went during off season. Hotel is great for families, but bring some snacks for the kids. Food there is ok but pricy. Also pizza not the greatest. Would go again.

The room was very smelly like a mold( was on the 4 th floor) The smell even came with us at home. The previous time was excellent. Other then the room everything was excelent.

Attened for the first time with my 3 and 2 year old children. Kids played hard and slept well. Highly recommend this resort to anyone with kids, big and small!!! Will be returnig in the near future with the kids.

Everything is great...i love this place and would go again and again

I was very disappointed that the quality of customer service was not better. There were several instances that there was below average service: 1) long wait times for check-in/check-out 2) request for cutlery and plates for a birthday cake was not able to be accomodated, stating, "we do no supply this, you need to bring your own"...any quality resort […] would not deny this service especially that this was the purpose of our trip...our daughter's 11th b-day. We had brought in a specialty cake that was nut-free due to serious allergies. 3) room service....got put on hold then hung up on 4) request of towels not provided until requested a second time and only partial request was made. 5) Our daughter became ill and unable to use the facilities thus we requested to bring back some soup from the meal plan option we purchased. The restaurant hostess said we could not do this - manager's approval needed...not the chef's. (The chef was the only accomodating person.) 6) The meal plan option (pizza slice for lunch was unsatisfactory - it was cold & somewhat tasteless). 7) The first night the children ages (7, 11, 12) participated in the pj party which they were embarrased when they had to hold a rope in the hallway - safety is a priority but this program should be geared to the participants - this was simply too young a program and NOT appropriate for children up to 12. The kids did not enjoy it and felt it was for a kindergarten age group. 8) I requested a discount on our stay and denied due to how I booked and no consideration was given to the grievances aforementioned unless I came back then 25% could be given. After alot of money not well spent, why would I want to risk our precious vacation time and money again?? I think a Senior Manager and/or Owner/Operatior should address these issues of poor customer service. The concept of Great Wolf Lodge is a good one but the experience was not. Lisateave

this hotel was very nice at first look, but we were told that our room was still dirty when we arrived. that wasnt to bad as there was a bar/ resturant to sit in, but the gentleman at the dest informted me that he would be sending me a text message when our room was ready. so we left or number and walked around. we never got the text even though he […] correctly repeted the number to me in his computer he had it incorrect. two and a half hrs later no text so we went to the front desk. the lady working was very rude and informed us it was our fault and there was nothing they could do to rectify this. in the end it was a nice park but for younger children, my son is 9 and found it boreing and the service wasnt wprth what we paid for. i would not recomend this hotel, if your going to spend the money throw down a little more for a flight and go to edmonton. Everything in this place has a GREEDY additional cost. The only 'ok' thing in this place is the waterpark, of which is run by a bunch of teenagers that have no work ethics. In one instance a guard left a bunch of kids (including mine) at the top of a slide to talk with a co-worker. In another instance 2 workers just sat there flirting with eachother […] while the lines continued to grow (and rafts were available, they just didn't care). Our walk to the room was (exactly, for my fair stride) 262 steps from the elevator to our door. Not a great start when you have 2 young children and a baby. No shortcuts are available... There were some kind of crumbs on the floor when we first enetered the room, chips or popcorn or something that hadn't been cleaned, yet was obvious. The heater would randomly turn on, but blew out freezing cold air. Room service banged on our door loud as can be early in the morning waking up our sick 7 month old baby to offer more towels (which if we really needed, would have requested). The cost of food, and the quality of it are far from a match. Overpriced, bad quality food. The morning we went to leave we discovered a hand-towel that was folded and hung up, that contained what appeared to be fecies in it; my wife went to use it to rinse out baby bottles. Before we left I talked to a manager saying "This is disgusting" and the manager claimed it wasn't fecies, it was rust. He went on about how when clothes are washed there, rust from the machines gets loose and soaks into the linens. Funny! Because rust is oxidized metals, which is probably even worse to consume! The cloth itself did not smell 'fresh' either way, and our children were not tall enough or sophisticated enough to use, refold, and re-hang it. The engineering and design of the pool area (which isn't as big as you might think), and the older crowd of employees were fantastic. Unfortunately everything else ruined it for us. this hotel was great because of all the great kids stuff like the water slide and all toys. the bad problem was when the childern touched the remote control to pay money like the movies and the game.i hope the services people should write a note for kids that to beware that the movies and the games have to be payed. The elevator system has to be improved ,there is too much waiting . The stairs have to go up to the 3rd floor from the lobby. Other than those two , the kids had a good time

Very safe for children, water park the best, food was a bit pricey. Definetly will go back

Great Wolf Lodge is the best resort in Niagara Falls

Great Wolf Lodge in Niagra Falls is a great place for young families. There is the wonderful water park with plenty of little features and lots of entertainment such as a DJ providing contests. The staff was excellent and responded to our every request. They let us register early and use the hotel even though the room was not ready and just texted us […] when it was ready. They had every activity a person could want for the kids and from the time we arrived in the reception area until we left, the kids had a great time. I would not recommend this as an adult retreat and would not venture near the place if I did not have kids to entertain as it is really their place to enjoy and easy for parents to keep them entertained. All around great time for the kids and us adults. Service was great. Any waiting in line was minimal at restaurants and watermark food was delicious and week rounded variety. Exceeded expectations. Behind the acenes tour of pool filter and pump rooms was a highlight for me being in the construction industry. Amazing operation.

We arrived on a Sunday in July. Like the other reviews there was a line-up at the check-in counter. It was about 2pm. There were 4 people at the counter - and we waited about 30 minutes to check in, our room was not ready. We did go directly to the waterpark. After about an hour the crowds seemed to lessen and we stayed at the park till about 7:30pm. […] I was told that I would get a text message when our room was ready, I rec'vd that at 4:50pm (so much for 4:00 check-in time). Back to the front desk to get our room number (and another 20 minute wait in line). Off to our room - when we arrived it looked like housekeeping had started to clean the room, but forgot to finish it - bedding still left on the beds and a pile of dirty towels on the floor. The supervisor of housekeeping came up and immediately requested to have us transferred to another room. In the end, we were upgraded to a loft, from the family suite. The whole mix up lasted about 1/2 an hour - the only inconvenience was that the kids were starving and we had to move rooms and get settled before they had anything to eat. We had a great time, the room was great and the kids had a blast at the waterpark. Overall, the staff was friendly - housekeeping over and above! Lisateave

We had a fantastic time. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the waterpark is just the right size.

Great place for a family reunion, caters to children of all ages and adults. There is something for everyone, including many choices for dining. The hotel and water park were super clean, safe for children, and included many conveniences. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed my stay at the Lodge. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and professional at all times. There was something to do for all age groups. I would definitely do it again in the future.

this was our first time using hotels.com and first visit to great wolf lodge. everything was wonderful the whole experience was beyond my expectations. our grandchildren from Alberta were really happy with the water park and lodge. staff made the whole thing enjoyable. the package was very, very good value!!!!

The hotel was really nice. The waterpark was well run, manned and cleaned. I have two complaints was that it stated that the waterpark was open until 9pm and they closed at 8. Dinner was really busy. We were told @ 6 our table would be ready in 15 but it was 45 minutes (with a 2 year old this was not fun) and by the time we were finished we all got […] dressed to go back to the waterpark (750) and it closed at 8. We had a good time at this hotel. It was a bit of a nuisance on our 2nd day when we had to be out of our room but we still wanted to use the waterpark. ( and it is winter) We took all our stuff down to the pool and did manage to get a locker but the change rooms were very crowded when we were using them. from the time you enter the lodge until you leave the feeling is kids and family are number one.our grandkids were facinated with all the visual attractions,and the waterpark is as much fun for young and older.it is costly but if you bring snacks and i rcommend it,it was great fun for everyone.

While fuuly priced, I can see where they spend a lot to cover child entertainment and safety . Our 2 year old was overwhelmed by size and activity ,and did not participate.3 yr old & 4 yr old were fully engaged.

The hotel, while a bit more expensive than I hoped for, was soooo wonderful that I almost forgot how much I was spending. My kids, 4 and 7 LOVED the water park as did my husband and myself!! My favorite part was sneaking out with my niece to the outdoor hot tub with the snow falling down and steam rising from the tub!! Only downfall was the price of […] breakfast at the buffet - the kids barely each had a waffle.... On 2nd day found breakfast wrap for decent price downstairs which was very filling. As a return guest to Great Wolf Lodge I was able to go through a smaller line to check in only to find out that my room was not ready yet, this was at 4pm. After waiting 25 min I became unpatient and went back to counter and complained. There was something wrong with my reservations which was quickly resolved with a room upgrade to the best family suite […] in the house. The room was amazing, the park, staff and food was fantastic as usual. This was my 4th time back and it has become a family Christmas tradition. I will in the future provide rave reviews about my stay and now I am a spokesperson for hotels.com. All my other stays were booked directly through the lodge but I got a better deal through hotels.com. This allowed me extra funds to take my family to explore Clifton Hill. From check - in onward, this hotel has thought of everything for the kids. Obviously the waterpark is a kid's dream and it has something for just about every age group. The dinner buffet has a lower area especially for the little ones to serve themself and as well as having the kids get into their pjs for story time before bed, they also have a little […] kid's dance party in the grand foyer. Their gift shop is the best gift shop I have ever seen at any hotel. The rooms were spacious and well thought out. Overall, we can't wait to come back. Lisateave

Great Wolf Lodge exceeded our expectations! We spent 3 nights at the lodge with our 18 month old daughter, and it was a great expierence for all! The food was fantastic, selection was over the top! The water park was so much fun, especially for our little girl, regardless of her age, she has many areas of the park to enjoy, it wasnt just about the slides! […] The staff were great, everything for the kids was amazing, this is truely a kids resort! I will recomend it again and again, and we plan to return next year! Lisateave

The hotel is a place for a perfect family get-away. The environment, people , hospitality & cmfort all gel in wonderfully. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Will go there again.

Was a family stay with two children aged 4 and 2. Both loved the waterpark and the arcade which had a good assortment of games and rides for their age. Everything was open and well maintained. The prices of food and drinks were not cheap but we didn't feel that we were being taken to the cleaners either. The buffet restaurant was actually much better […] in value and taste than a couple others we had in Niagara Falls afterwards! The kids loved the talking animals. We thought all of the staff had a great attitude and went out of their way to be helpful. We will definitely return and highly recommend it for other families. Lisateave

As evidenced by the cars in the parking lot, Great Wolf Lodge is definitely a family resort destination; the majority of license plates were from Ontario. The hotel is conveniently located on a main road, and a few minutes drive from the Falls area of downtown Niagara. There are plenty of parking lots near the Falls, so this shouldn't be a negative. […] If you're looking to stay right near the Falls, this hotel is not for you. If your looking for a family destination from which you can also visit area attractions, I suggest you check this one out. Free waterpark is wonderful and not overly crowded. Mini golf was very cute, although not free. Restaurant choices ok, I would have appreciated having a sit down restaurant too, instead of just buffet. Food was very good for buffet - fresh and tasty, something for everyone including fresh fruit and yogurt. Rooms were spotless and promptly made up every morning. Animated animals in the lobby a nice touch for kids; also roaming costumed characters to interact with. Spa is great (had a very good theraputic massage) and has a spa area for young girls. On site spacious arcade a nice distraction for kids. Lisateave

Close to the falls and great for families with kids. This water park does not compare to the activities available at the Wisconsin Dells location but for 3 days it was fullfilling....Spent $100 at the arcade and walked away with 2 small stuffed animals but it was for the "thrill" of the games....Our room had a noisy air conditioner and the sink drain […] was clogged but maintanence took care of the drain quickly....The barbeque dinner special at the outdoor pool was a great deal and a delicious meal. We arrived late to the 8PM story time, very crowded and couldn't hear the story teller, kids lost interest.... Lisateave

Everything was fine. Since we were staying 4 nights, I would have preferred the option of daily waterpark wristbands. Wearing the wristband all the time targeted you as a tourist when we left the hotel for other sightseeing trips.

The hotel was great ! We only stayed one night because we have little ones, and that was enough. The kids really enjoyed story time at night. The bathroom was a little small. As for the waterpark section, I didnt think there was enough staff. So again if you have little ones, make sure you keep an eye on them.

We took our 3 yr old daughter on this trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. It was about 10 minutes from the Falls. The hotel we all loved. It is very family oriented. My daughter loved the anmatronics,storytime,crafts in the Cub Club, getting the wolves to howl - talking with the Bear,Moose (at least 4 times a day). We stayed MOnday-Friday end of September […] so it was very quiet until Friday and we loved that - highly recommend going on an off-season and during a weekday if possible! We ate at the buffet for dinner twice and had lunch the first day (kids menu was great: example: macaroni and cheese served in a kettle pot with goldfish crackers swimming on top and gummy worms surrounding the plate - right up my daughter's ally! Waterpark was great - lots for her to do, we went everyday - in between site seeing- and activities- and even great slides that Mommy and Daddy took turns trying. All in all it was great! We would love to go to another GWL in US - but afraid to compare it with this one - which we thought was awesome! Lisateave
