Hotel Copernicus - Krakow

Very large rooms and spacious bathroom. Nice friendly service at front desk. Breakfast good though not excellent. Gym facilities were average. Great pool.

We decided to stay here as a treat for our last night in Krakow, and weren't disappointed. Our standard double room was luxurious with the most comfortable bed we had in Poland, and building was atmospheric and historic. Wide selection of delicious breakfast foods, and lovely little touches like chocolates and l'Occitane cosmetics in room and turn-down […] service. Lisateave

Lovely Hotel in a great location - great breakfasts and superb food - could make better use of lounge area with better seating and lighting the fire

Hotel Copernicus was a terrific base for exploring Krakow as it lies between the centre and two significan t districts (Wawel & Kazimierez) all within easy walking distance. The hotel staff were excellent and the breakfast buffet was very good quality. The pool and Sauna were an additional bonus. I stayed at this hotel on two different legs of a long trip. It's on a quiet street (which, frankly, could be a bit better lit at night), several blocks from the central square. The entrance area is quite nice and the lift is actually roomy, unlikely so many others in Europe. My first room was large but seemed a little gloomy and the bed cover had some […] ugly stains on it so I took it off in a hurry (yet the housekeeper didn't take the hint and put it right back on the next day, clearly ignoring the stains). Bathroom, lights, TV, in-room safe all very good and free bottled water much appreciated (and necessary in Krakow). On the return trip, I had an even nicer room (top floor), just across from a rooftop deck I hadn't discovered earlier. The staff was very helpful (even lending me 5 zloty to pay for a cab when they were unable to break a large bill) and I really appreciated their use of English with me. Breakfast buffet is substantial and good, although it was a little alarming that the charming girl in charge of bringing coffee clearly had a very bad cold. All in all, I'd definitely stay here again and I suspect it might be the best hotel in town. Lisateave

Room was very comfortable. Pool is amazing and great for a night time dip after sampling the exquisite food and drink on offer in Krakow. Staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous throughout. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Roof terrace is a great place to unwind. Sorry we didn’t stay for longer.

If you are coming to Krakw stay here. The location in old town is second to none. The staff are helpful and the breakfast is fabulous! The pool is beautiful and worth a trip dowstairs. The rooftop patio is worth the tip upstairs. Stay here you will not regret it!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Copernicus. The accommodations were great and the service was first class. The location was ideal to all the places I wanted to go.

Old world atmosphere,exceptional location for access to all town sites but quiet, and a truly excellent restaurant.

Excellent location and fantastic spa area. Great choice at breakfast buffet. Disappointed that our room was not ready on time and the promised coffee while waiting on the roof terrace never arrived.

Great hotel in midieval section in old town Krakow. Beautiful hotel without a wonderful history...highly recommended...best roof top cocktail loung e overlooking tha castle...the only place in town....Bob and Janet

So-called 5* hotels in Poland don't always live up to their rating....but this one does. I suppose they have the marque of the Relais & Chateaux brand to live up to! We were met and greeted by the duty manager and despite being early, one of our rooms was ready for use. The building is slightly 'quirky' in as much as it is built around a covered courtyard […] and in the upper floors, to get from rooms on one side (where my wife and I had a room) to the other side (where the kids were), you had to go through the lift, or walk all the way down one side, cross the courtyard (ie. lobby) and up the stairs on the other side.Not something you want to do in your PJ's! Clearly not a problem if you only have one room! Otherwise it is a very nicely restored landmark with lovely views of the Wawel castle and churches from the roof terrace, in a good position for visiting all the main sights. Lisateave

The Hotel Copernicus is on an unassuming side road very close (5 minutes walk) from one of the main squares in Krakow. It's surrounded by some excellent restuarants, and is about 2 minutes from the foot of the Wawel Hill. The breakfast spread was excellent, with eggs available cooked to order. Staff were friendly and learned our regular orders after […] just a couple of days. The fitness suite and underground swimming pool are lovely - really quiet and open 24/7, a lovely place to relax after a hard day's exploring the town. Highly recommended. Lisateave

hotel copernicus is on the prettiest street in krakow, just a 5 minute walk from the square. gorgeous hotel, spacious bedrooms, quite lovely. highly recommend this hotel, close enough to everything, yet off the sqaure enough to keep out the noise.

I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this hotel. It started with a lovely welcome from the reception staff, a hello from the hotel manager on our way in and smiles from staff all the way to our room. The leisure facility in the cellar is fabulous. The best place to chill out after a hard day on your feet touring Krakow. The swimming […] pool is small but with a water jet at one end to swim against - the first time I tried one and it was great. I fell asleep, it was perfect. Breakfast was great - about the right level of choice/options and the quality of the food was right up there. Possibly the best breakfast I've had in a niche hotel. If we go back I'd stay here again. In fact I'd refuse to stay anywhere else... Lisateave

This is a comfortable hotel. For those who are looking for a possible negative, the rooms on the inside balcony (including rooms 105 to 109?) can be exposed to noise from the foyer bar below on nights when there is a boisterous crowd of drinkers.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right by the Wawel Castle and a 7 minute walk to Market Square.The staff was extremely helpful. We had no AC the first night, and the next day they immediately took action and had the problem fixed. The remaining nights were very comfortable. The room was spacious, with an updated bathroom. If you need TV, though, […] the channels were limited. The front desk helped us with numerous requests, including trying to ship gifts home via FedEx. They went out of their way to make sure everything was shipped, and even searched the hotel for an appropriate size box. It was some of the best service I have ever had during a stay. Lisateave

probably the best location in krakow. midway between the castle and the market square. beautifully decorated in a personal style. a very enjoyable stay. staff very helpful and organised lots of last minute details re day trips and inter city transfers.food excellent. almost a pity the city is so great because lounging about the hotel would have been […] very pleasant!! The hotel is situated right in the centre of Krakow and the major sites are within walking distance. Staff were all very helpful and we would certainly go again.

Beautiful hotel. Outstanding location. Rooftop terrace is a hidden gem. We stayed two nights at Hotel Copernicus, then took an overnight trip to Zakopane and returned to Copernicus for two more nights. The lady at the desk anticipated our every need the entire time we were there. They stored our luggage overnight when we went to Zakopane for the night. […] When we were asking whether they could do this for us, she finished our sentence for us, and said, "Of course." The breakfast is very nice and the wait staff were friendly and responsive. Finally, when I explained that I needed a rental car to visit family 80 km outside of Krakow, they arranged everything for me with the car rental agency, and the car was delivered to the hotel the next morning. When we return to Krakow, we will stay at Hotel Copernicus. Lisateave

The AC did not work properly and because of it my room with window into the inside corridor was unpleasantly warm and muggy. I asked tree times for help but hotel personnel was unable to resolve this problem and did not propose any alternative solution. This hotel has great potential but as it is now does not deserve 5 star rating. Disappointment.

Flott hotell med meget bra beliggenhet. Hyggelig betjening og veldig bra service. Det som trekker litt ned er frokosten som kunne vært litt bedre selv om det meste er på bordet. Obs viktig! egg og bacon må bestilles når man ankommer frokostsalen og blir servert med bordet. (ingen tillegg i pris). 4, 6 av 5 mulige.

Hotellet er perfekt for liten vennegjeng. Nydelig middelalderatmosfære. Deilig frokost. Flott marmor på rene bad. Vennlig og oppmerksomt personale. Fint utgangspunkt for å oppleve hele Kraków og omegn både mht sightseeing og shopping. Anbefaler dette hotellet på det varmeste! Men, vær oppmerksom på Wawels kirkeklokke. Den slår hele natten, og den høres […] best i øverste etasje hvor det er takvinduer. Lisateave

Hotellet har store rom som er fint dekorert og utstyrt med det man trenger. Skulle man ellers trenge noe er staben kjapt på pletten. Frokosten var bra men hadde kanskje forventet enda bedre men har ikke noe sammenligningsgrunnlag

Meget bra hotell, beliggenhet, service og personalet. Fin takterasse med utsikt. God store værelser og senger. Værelser med både vinduer ut som kan åpnes,men også flere rom md vinduer ut i atriet.

Flott hotell, perfekt beliggenhet, vennlig betjening. Fantastisk resturant på hotellet, prøv også den Ungarnske resturanten like over gata. Hit drar vi gjerne igjen!!! Resturant svært behjelpelig med Glutenfri meny, noe som alltid er et pluss.

Vi fik i første omgang anvist et stort værelse på 3 sal, men det viste sig at der ligger et stort larmende ventilationsanlæg på loftet over værelset, så vi havde meget svært ved at sove. Vi reklamerede over larmen og personalet anviste os et nyt, men mindre værelse på 2 sal, uden støj. Hotellet har en meget fin standard og et meget smilende, servicemindet […] og imødekommende personale. Vi kan kun give de bedste anbefalinger, men undgå værelset ved elevatoren på 3 sal. Lisateave

Copernicus er på alle mulige måter det perfekte sted å bo i Krakow. Flott beliggenhet, sentralt men samtidig i en rolig gate. Hotellet må trolig også være et av de mest sjarmerende i Krakow. Passe intimt, men innehar alle fasiliteter. Komfortable og lekre rom. Badet er et kapitel for seg. Tykke myke håndklær og utstyrt med O´loctaine-produkter. Betjeningen […] er svært hyggelig og ytet utmerket og smilende service - hele tiden. Restaurant, svømmebasseng og takterrasse er også i særklasse. Familien som består av to voksne og en gutt på 12, storkoste seg, og nøt hvert minutt. Min sønn og jeg har begge cøliaki, og ble varmt tatt hånd om. Glutenfritt brød og mat forøvrig var ikke noe problem. Selv om hotellet innehar fem stjerner, opplevde vi det hverken som snobbete eller stivt. Ingen tvil, Copernicus vil være vårt førstevalg ved neste besøk i Krakow. Lisateave

Meget bra hotell med en perfekt plassering midt i byen med kun 5 min. gange til Torget, samt 10 min. gange ned til "Jødekvartalet". Kommer garantert å bruke hotellet/-kjeden igjen ved neste anledning. Svært god restaurant på hotellet ( anbefalt i Michelin Guiden ). Flere hyggelig restauranter like ved. Hotellets frokost var også svært hyggelig og […] god. Kan virkelig anbefales av et par i 30-80 årene. Lisateave

Dejlig hotel med alle bekvemligheder. Smukt bygger ind i en århundredegammel bygning. Fantastisk beliggenhed lige midt i byen. Kan anbefales hvis man skal forkæle sig selv.
