To start off with we thought the hotel looked very nice on line, so we booked it. Once we got there the hotel was under renovations. We were told be local workers at the resturants outside the place is always under " renovations", then a laugh. The lobby was disgusting and thank god the elevator serice inspectors were leaving when we came, it was a […] little squeaky. Once we got to our floor the maid carts were blocking our room and we also had a nice view of all of the OSHA regulations and the maids schedules or paper work on the wall out in the open next to our room. Once we got insde our room i thought it looked nice, but upon further inspection, not so much. The utilty room door inside the room was broken and fell on me. Then when trying to turn on the lights we find out there are none. The main light of the room is a studio set light which was aimed at the bed. ( The whole set up of the room was creepy.) (Not to mention in between each hotel room there was a room that said "Private". When i asked what was in there the guy said," a safe". Really a safe? who tells someone that? Between every room? More like creepy peepers..) The bathroom wasn't cleaned , we took a quick shower with our shoes on. The phone was broken and there was no alarm clock. I was just over all disappointed with the filthy feeling. Even the windows that go out to the 2ft wide balcony... filthy. Worst hotel ever..... By the way don't try to call them they don't awnser the phone. Lisateave

Large spacious suites ...Keep in mind you are staying on maimi beach..that alone should make you feel privileged as you relax from your balcony..Trouble free ,looking at everyone below. The pool on the roof is awesome and so is the view. Trust me this place rocks..we will be back even if its just for a night. Walk across the street your at the beach […] . Walk out the door you on ocean drive at the beginning of where everything starts.Clubs,The food..omg the food..wonderful..and for those of you smokers the staff doesn't care just smoke on the balcony or where in south beach because they treat it like its legal and its there ...thanks for wonderful trip Lisateave

Roomy, that's all there is, albeit dusty. All our windows blocked my wall of nxt bldg. Shower curtain filthy with mildew. Pot & pan provided but no stove, only microwave. Elevator mostly OOS, so we had to walk. One daytime guy not so friendly.

Very nice and clean rooms, but need to make things clearer since the name written on the facade of the hotel is "the fritz". Lobby area is very shabby and the music from the bars below the hotel si very loud until verylate. Other than that it is very good value.

It was very comfortable and relaxing,. I just had one issue when checking out and ran back to retrieve more personal items since I could not carry everything in one trip and housekeeping already in room and items were disposed of, so that was upsetting.

Great location but hard to find the front entrance; be prepared. Beautiful suite that came with everything but bathrobes and newspaper which were advertised when booked. Front desk was pleasantly manned but this is not your typical hotel with a front desk, so quality of service was very minimal. Perfect for what we were looking for. We stayed here for a conference and I loved having the kitchen was very updated.. TV and cable was great. Internet was slow. I found the hotel to be a bit run down. Location was fantastic. But a pet peeve of mine since it was cold the week we stayed in February is I couldn't even get a hot shower. we went for a birthday getaway .... our first room had no hot water but we kindly went downstairs to the front desk and told them && and at the drop of a dime they moved us to a bigger and better room, it was so beautiful especially the review from the roof top pool. hands down the best birthday ever, i loved it we will def be back.

I was a bit wary of trying this hotel an my first impression fron the condition of the lobby was that I had made a huge mistake but once I got to the suite I was extremely pleased especially with the fitted kitchen and so many amazing appliances which I'm sure I would have used more had I been fortunate to stay longer. The location is perfect for shopping, […] restaurants mmmBellini my favourite - amazing food,great prices and Mojitos that just don't quit and who could forget how close it is to the beach and the lovely Lumus Park. One last part of the hotel which I hope stays s secret is that wonderful roof pool and lounge area. I enjoyed many hours thrr alone in the glorious sunshine. So although I haven't exactly given it top marks that is mainly for cosmetic reasons since I have recently only stayed 5 star hotels such as the Venetian and Palazzo in Las Vegas Lisateave

Hotel staff was very helpful. Vale parking is too slow to get your car ( min 30min's) ! But , vale parking is third party. Rooms are perfect except window view. Hotel definitely need a lobby. Location is perfect for all events!!

This hotel is near one end of the strip so the late night noise is less. Both the rooms were large with a modern kitchenette. The private balcony was a plus. It was a great way to people watch & enjoy the view of the ocean while relaxing.

Hotel location is great, but live music played until 1AM in the club next door keeping us awake. Room was clean and service was good. The sleeper sofa wasn't comfortable. Rennovation work was underway in Lower lobby and other floors.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Casanova. We were upgraded from a king suite to a two room suite. The room was huge (1100 sq ft) with a nice view of lummis park and the ocean. Nice kitchen with stainless appliances although the fridge freezer needs some attention. The location on south beach is great (between 5th and 6th) right next to all the […] action but not in the middle of it. These rooms have private balcony's over looking ocean drive which is not common of most hotels on this strip. The price we got on Hotels.com could not be beat. The only real negative would be that the hotel is under remodeling, they are putting in a spa next to the lobby, but no noise ever made it up to our rooms. The hotel entrance is not visable from the street, Bellini resteraunt is located out front and you walk down a short (clean well lit) walkway to the lobby located on the side of the building. The Mattress was comfortable (never used guest bed but having a second bathroom was a great perk) but they starch their sheets for some reason. With the size of the rooms it was strange not have a dresser in either bedroom. the nightstands have deep drawers and there is alot of closet space even a walk in closet but would have liked more drawer space. Overall this was a great experience and If we visit South Beach again we will be staying at the Casanova Lisateave

This hotel is perfect. Great location across the street from Lummus Park. Kitchen had coffee maker, full size frig, microwave, new cupboards. Spacious hotel room!! A small but cute roof-top pool and patio. One bedroom with queen size bed and a double size futon in the living room.TGIF restaurant is next door. A Walgreens around the corner saved us soooo […] much money. Bought all of our goodies, breakfast supplies and some beer for the room. All the good outweighed a few dislikes... Told us there was a $50 a day additional fee for having 3 guests in the room instead of the booked 2 guests (that fee was waived at check-out). The hairdryer malfunctioned. We bought a new one at the drugstore and was reimbursed from the hotel. The balcony consists of sliding doors and a 12" stoop not big enough to walk across. The door to the bathroom was in desperate need of a coat of paint. All in all, I would definately stay here again. I didn't expect much from Casanova after reading some reviews. I went into this knowing this hotel was not the Four Seasons- no luxurious frills. I came out more than happy with my stay! Lisateave

We stayed 13 nights in September. Not the best time to be in SoBe due to the weather (hot and humid) but overall very nice. One drawback, South Beach is noisy! This hotel is a little strange as you have to enter via a little alley between two cafes or go down some quite dirty alleyways at the back. This, with proper lighting, could be quite quaint but […] as it stands seems a little downmarket as does the hotel lobby. However the rooms were very good, clean and with the usual fixtures and fittings and good air-con. Pool are was very useful and, whilst the water was clean the pool could do with a good scrub! View was fantastic.The hotel could not be better placed for a stay in SoBe. Everything is near by, Walgreens (not the best but OK), CVS (a bit better) and Publix (excellent supermarket) plus loads of restaurants and shops. The staff, everyone of them, were absolutely great! Could not have been more friendly and helpful. It should be said that the hotel is about to undergo a refurb so hopefully things will improve even more. Bus service in SoBe is great and close to the hotel. Get the 120 to Aventura Mall, $2 for a Loooong trip all the way up South Beach and good shopping, and the South Beach Local (SBL) goes in a big loop all round SoBe for 25c each way (50c all round the loop) Lisateave

This hotel is a hidden gem in Miami Beach! The staff was friendly, the rooms are large, modern and very clean. The bathroom is completely updated and there are tile floors throughout. The mini-kitchen with full fridge is perfect for snacks and drinks. The rooftop pool was our favorite feature. The pool isn't large, but are you really planning to swim […] laps? The view from there is incredible! It's a short walk across the street to a beautiful stretch of beach. The two restaurants below serve breakfast very inexpensive and the food was incredible. We hit both for breakfast, lunch and appetizers. When dining out and especially if you drink, be sure to ask prices anywhere you go and you won't have any surprises. We plan to make this an annual visit and will not stay anywhere else. The entrance is a little tricky to find. The entrance is between Maya and Belinni's, but once you know where to look, you're golden. The reception area isn't fancy, but the rooms were great! Valet is right there as well. Parking is limited, so valet is recommended. We parked the car and took cabs to Marlin's Park. Great experience and you won't be disappointed! Lisateave

If you can find it and then look past the awful lobby the room is great - like a one-bedroom apartment. The rooftop pool overlooking the ocean was very nice.

Me and my boyfriend loved to stay at this hotel. Great location, room was spacious and staff was kind and helpfult. The only thing was that our room had no kitchenette - which it was supposed to have as hotels.com described it. But overall it was a very nice experience. I will definitely stay here in the future.

This place is tucked away down an alley and has no signs from the street. Once you find it and get past the lobby, the room was awesome with hardwood floors throughout and artfully decorated. The rooftop pool and view was impressive. The location is right in the middle of South Beach madness (a big plus if that is what you are looking for). I will admit the entrance is hard to find while it is still under construction but once I got to my room I truly appreciated the suite and all the comforts it had to offer. It was quiet despite being in a busy part of Collins. Overall I would recommend Casanova Suites and will plan on staying there again in the near future.

I just recently went to Miami for a long weekend/mini vacation to get away. I've never been there before so before I booked anything I did a lot of research to get the best prices and the best bang for my buck. I don't mind spending a little more money if it's wort it! Online this hotel was very beautiful. It boasted beautiful hotel room pictures, gorgeous […] outside pictures. It was right on the beach, had a rooftop hotel. I was thinking, this hotel is going to be amazing. It couldve been better. The rooms, were excellent. If you don't plan on doing anything, and I mean anything, at your hotel, than its an amazing hotel. Very clean, the staff is very accomadating. The entrance to the hotel has a tiiiiiiny little sign outside. We had to to take a sketchy little entrance way to actally enter the hotel. The pool was pretty terrible. Not that it wasn't clean.. but it's like no one uses it. It could be more well lit, it could have a bar up there. Just kind of boring. It also closed at 8. In Miami. 8pm. Right? Everything else about the hotel was very nice, but a word to the wise: There are two restaurants right out front the one is Bellini and the other is Maya, we never ate or drank at Maya but Bellini was terrible. Within our first five minutes there my mom found a cockroach in her water. All in all, I'd probably try somewhere else next visit to Miami. Lisateave

Location was perfect for SoBe. Got a little loud at night but that's expected. Large 24 HR walgreens around the corner. Shopping around the corner too. Nice spot right across the beach. Rooms are very large and it's nice to have a full fridge and kitchen. Separate bedroom which was nice, good size bathroom. Can't speak to pool, it rained all weekend, […] yes, rain allll weekend! Peeked up there one morning and it looked small. Better for lounging on a chair than actually swimming but great view up there. I stayed with 2 girlfriends and would also recommend as a couple. If you want to be able to walk everywhere, this is a great location. Lisateave

Walking down an alley to get to reception was the first sign the hotel was not going to be what we expected. The reception was, not a reception, but a desk in a hallway. suite was clean and well sized. A little deferred maintenance but overall a very good value. The facility is on the quieter end of Ocean which was great. An easy walk into the action, but restful when you want to be away from the noise. The restaurant in front was very good. Desk staff were very helpful.

Location is the best asset for this hotel. Close to everything that you could think of: Walgreens, Collins Ave for cheap and great tasting restaurants and shopping, the beach across; coffee like Starbucks is like 3-4 blocks away. Make sure to get the suite with the OCEAN VIEW and everything will be just fine. Do not expect a 5 star accommodation like […] we did, and our vacation was just perfect. Great for families with kids. I should mention "Carlos" who was very accommodating at the reception. Unfortunately, he has converted to PRN position and is only available couple of days of work a week. Housekeeping was very helpful in making sure we got our suite cleaned. The only thing that I would recommend for management to invest is the "BED", and I believe management is aware about this. It needs to be replaced with something thats more comfortable to sleep on. Lisateave

Went to south beach with about seven friends for spring break and was fortunate enough to get a reservation at this hotel. The suites are spacious, clean, reasonable, and overall amazing for South Beach. It was located right on Ocean Drive, which is where everything is at (wet willies, mangos, etc.) The pool and roof area were remarkable and the ocean […] view from our suite was just breathtaking. The staff was great and helped with everything. They allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel before check in and after check out so that we wouldn't have to lug around suitcases until we had to board our late flight. I called in advance to inquiry about an extra persons fee and management really cared and accommodated the situation. The weekend manager also recommended some places to visit both in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, which was extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone planning to going to South Beach. Currently in the works of planning Miami round 2 at the Casanova Suites. =) Lisateave
