Location is great. Near the Duomo and most places. There are no elevators and we where on the 2nd floor (although given the flight of stairs, feels like 3rd) so we had to carry our luggage. Room doesn't look to clean. Toilet is too small and not much legroom. No English Channel or CNN at least.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, a 5 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella station and a minute away from Duomo. Florence is a small town, so it doesn't take too long to get to any of the main points of interest from this hotel. Wifi was also a little expensive, at €3 for 30 minutes and it did not work in our rooms. But the rooms themselves were nice, and the staff was very friendly and got to know us all. They ask you to leave your key when you go out, and when I walked in the door they knew my room number by heart and always greeted me with a smile. They also let a friend of ours join us in our room for a small additional cost. The building itself is older, so don't be expecting a very renovated and expensive-looking room, but it worked just fine. They also serve breakfast every morning. It is included in your room cost. It is not by any means impressive, but it was still nice to start the day off with something to eat! I enjoyed this place and would stay here again. Lisateave

The location is excellent, with all of the main sights within easy walking distance (about 30 seconds to the duomo), and plenty of restaurants and shops in the surrounding streets. The room seemed pretty clean. Our AC didn't work upon arrival, but when we asked for it to be fixed, it was dealt with promptly. Overall the maintenance seemed a little poor […] with a few lights not working etc but the staff were all very friendly and helpful so I would just let them know if you aren't happy with something. Our 'third floor' room actually required us to go up six storeys of stairs, with no lift, so it's certainly not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but perfectly pleasant. Overall this hotel is great for anyone looking to visit Florence on a bit of a budget. Although convenient to the train station this hotel has nothing else to offer. After climbing over 50 stairs to our room with luggage (no lift) we walk in to find torn carpeting, a large hole in the shower stall, stained bed linens and curtains. The hotel is situated near al the major hustorical sites. Our room was nice and big, only down side was the stairs, would have liked an elivator. This is a basic hotel - the decor is tired, there's no lift (we were on the top floor - the 3rd) and the light in the room was very dim - but that is the full list of negative comments I can think about it. On the plus side the location is brilliant - you can walk anywhere of interest easily. We found it was quiet enough.. though the street was noisy […] the windows had several layers of shutters and we found it was possible to still let a draft in but keep the noise out. We found the staff to be helpful and the cleaning maid/breakfast serving person was very friendly. Breakfast is cereals/rolls/croissants/fruit and buffet style - plenty of it. We stayed in November, past the end of tourist season so maybe the deal was particularly good, but for the package price we had no complaints. You won't be wowed by the appearance of the place but the room is clean and the bed comfortable and frankly if you're spending much time in there then you're not making the most of Florence anyway! The Hotel Giaconda in Florence is wonderfully convenient to all major attractions and to the station. However, older or less able bodied travellers should be aware that there are no lifts and a total of 84 stairs to the top floor (yes we counted them as we lugged our bags up!) I should have listened to the negative reviews in the first place. We stayed two nights at the hotel from Aug. 15 to 16. The first room smelled terrible with all the dust and dead water from the antique air condition unit. While we were complaining about the conditions of the room, my son tried to help to explain but the male receptionist told my son […] to "shut up", word by word. We have never encountered with such rude hotel personnel ever before. This made history. If he dislike his job this much, he should have already quit! We got switched to another room on the second night. Only to find out the room was infested with countless mosquito. I could only assume this was punishment for our complaint of the first room. We asked the front desk to do something about it. When we returned from the night out, we were told it had been "done". We went up to find out there were still a couple dozens of the bloodsuckers resting on the ceiling. We put up a fight and killed most with a towel. It was a sleepless night in Florence with mosquito bites all over in the morning. Listen to me. Stay away from this horrible hotel!!! Lisateave

The first night the AC was not workin, and they send up a tiny fan, couldn'y open the window massive mosquitos. the smallest bathroom I've seen in any European country. The breakfast was a joke. But the location is excellent ans if you are travelling with lots of luggage avoid this hotel, there is not elevator.

Hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel itself had a nice feel to it. It's in front of the otto tram stop (which takes you to the center of Roma) . Trastevere has great restaurants that aren't pricey. Testaccio does too, and it's right across the Tevere.

Very good location right in the centre with good restaurants nearby. You cannot park or drive near the hotel and they charge 24 euros per day to take the car away and park it which is more or less what it costs to leave it in a car park over night. They wern't very helpful in explaining parking options and we spend hours trying to find somewhere to […] park and got a large fine for driving in a bus lane. The room was noisy and very old fasioned. I like rustic and authentic but this was a bit too much. We were on the 3rd floor which was very tiring to get to! The windows are not double glazed and our room looked onto the main street so I dodn't get much sleep. The windows also rattled when a bus went passed so we had to have them open ehich was quite chilly. Breakfast was disgusting...some tepid coffee from a thermos and some bread rolls with plastic cheese along with a few croissants. Not great. I wouldn't stay here again. Lisateave

The hotel is in a great location, just a 5 minute walk from the main Florence SMN train station and a 3 minute walk to the Duomo. Literally every main site you’d want to see on your visit is no more than a 15 minute walk away! There is a little store next door to the hotel that is open late where you can purchase waters and snacks for cheap as well! […] There are no elevators, and the hotel does have a lot of stairs, so if this is a problem it is definitely not the hotel for you. But if you don’t mind the stairs the hotel is otherwise close to perfect for a 3 star. The carpets show how old the hotel is, a little worn and stained, but are clean. The rooms are big for Europe, and the private bathroom is large as well. The tub was huge, and so clean! There are no shower curtains, but there is a shower head, so bathing in the tub was easy enough…even for my over 6’ tall husband. We had three twin beds in our room, two of which were put together to make a “queen”. They were comfortable enough. The included breakfast was good; cereal, croissants with jelly and butter, and assorted cheeses and fruits along with coffee, tea, juice, or milk. The rooms do not include a hair dryer, but they will give you a hair dryer on request and it is the best hair dryer I’ve used at any hotel in Europe so far! Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good, cheap hotel in the center of the city! Lisateave

The location of the hotel is fantastic... 2 blocks to the train station and 2 blocks to the Duomo, but there are other hotels in the same spot that are much nicer. When we first arrived, we had some trouble getting the door to our room open, so once we deposited our luggage we went back out to play with the lock and make it work. One of the maids was […] in the hall, and she stared, then declared us "estupida" and walked away. The room was big enough, but the hotel does not have central air conditioning, but a large in-room a/c unit which the maids unplugged whenever we left the room. The bathroom is also quite large for a European hotel, but the shower didn't have walls or a curtain, or even a lip on the floor to prevent the water from getting everywhere. Furnishings may be a bit tired but don't let this put you off the bed linen is crisp and white and the rooms cleaned everyday. The only negative is there is no lift and therefore for older travellers this means carrying luggage up the stairs. I was fortunate to receive a discounted rate for the pre-determined length of my stay. It was well worth the money. Very reasonable. The room was cleaned every day and clean towels provided. 駅から歩いて5分ぐらい、鐘楼までも5分ぐらいで場所がいいです。エレベーターが無いのでスーツケースを運ぶのが大変でした。シャワーが、トイレと一続きの床になっていて段差もないので、シャワーを浴びるとトイレまで水浸しになりますが、それ以外は設備もそんなに悪くはないです。

위치는 두오모와 노벨라역 중간쯤에 있어서 나쁘지 않음. 엘리베이터가 없어 짐은 호텔직원이 이동시켜 주나 꼭대기층에 숙박하게 되면, 계단오르내리기 많이 힘듬. 에어컨은 있으나 작은 이동형이라서 성능이 좋지 않음. 여름에 투숙할 계획이면 추천하지 않음.
