Mercure Hotel Narita - Narita

We needed to spend the night in Narita before catching our flight home the next day. The hotel provided a free shuttle service which was very convenient. We ate breakfast at the hotel. This is one stop from Narita Airport, a 3 minute walk from the station, and a reasonable hotel as well. I stay here every time I fly through Narita, especially if my flight leaves early or arrives late. Rooms are not large -- this IS Japan -- but they have everything you need. Warning: A semi-double bed is close quarters for two, think American size […] full bed. Get a twin. There is good food nearby, and folks are used to lots of foreigners and help out with kindness and grace. If you stay long enough, don't miss Narita Shrine. It's a lovely shrine complex. Lisateave

I stayed at the Mercure when during an overnight layover and it suited my needs perfectly. The airport shuttle was timely and professional, the hotel was neat and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

English level was Ok at check-in. Breakfast was a good selection of Japanese foods. Services were on time and friendly.

Perhaps the worst breakfast buffet that I have ever come across in a hotel. And they actually charge money for it!

A reat hotel to stay if you do not want to cancel or amend your booking in any way. Very inflexible with their cancellation policy. Had to pay for a room that was not used and pay for another room because of different names on booking (2 people cancelled because of the earthquake and nuclear disaster and another 2 people joined our group). We have stayed at other hotels nearer the airport but this is the one that we would choose again even though the others were bigger and in the luxury class. It was great being in Narita and not in the middle of nowhere. It meant that we could have a good walk outside with a choice of places to eat. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was my last hotel during an extended visit tthroughout SE Asia. The location was fine, easy access to the rail system to Tokyo. The room was suitable for a layover, that is, it has a bed, table, TV and small bathroom. If you are planning on multiple days in the Tokyo area, then stay in the city. The location is excellent. The rooms could use a little updating and on occasion I heard water running throughout the night. It's a great deal for the money.

We chose this hotel because there was a free shuttle to get us to the airport for an early morning flight. We didn't really spend much time there. However it was a very good hotel and everything was well organised.

We had a day between flights and rather than stay at the airport, we chose this hotel in the town of Narita. It's a nice little town for one day. Plenty of great food, excellent temples for sightseeing and much cheaper souvenirs than central Tokyo. The room was quite small, but for the extremely low price, I can't complain.

Great deal & location. Close to restaurants, pubs, shopping. I am 6 ft 2 in and the bed & bath were quite nice & comfortable. Ron M. Norfolk VA USA

If you want to be close to Narita airport or in transit, this is much better than travelling in to Tokyo. Narita City itself has a lovely temple and parks that could take 4-5 hrs to discover.

The reviews were somewhat mixed but we chose this for the location and convenience to and from the airport. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff spoke very good English, the hotel room including the beds were clean and comfortable, the hotel itself looked well maintained, the breakfast buffet was adequate with American and Japanese food and the location […] was excellent. Going to the AEON and JUSCO shopping mall was so easy with the bus just around the corner. It's ¥200 per person, exact change only, one way. There is a ¥100 yen store there, like our Dollar stores in the states, where you can spend a lot of time just looking for interesting cheap finds. If you're shopping for clothes there are shops from moderately priced to expensive. I was still able to find and buy relatively good priced handbags and fashionable hats. If you want to go to Tokyo, it is best to take the hotel shuttle back to the airport and take the train or limousine bus from the airport to Tokyo. That is straightforward than having to manage the transfers involved if you take the train from the station close to the hotel. There are lots of restaurants nearby the hotel area plus bakery and convenience stores where you can also buy snacks, etc. There is a McDonalds a block away with free WiFi but the signal was so low when we were there we couldn't get a connection. There is no free WiFi in the hotel, you have to pay for Internet. The hotel may still be able to keep your luggage if you have a late flight and you want to still hang out in the area or still go to the mall. Or, the Narita airport has so many shops and restaurants, a mini-mall, so to speak, that can keep you "entertained" if you have a late flight. This was what we chose to do and before we know it we just had enough time to go through security and immigration. Just 3 minutes from airport train stop. Also is the first stop from airport, so it was hard to mix up. Room was nice, clean. I am 6 ft 2 in and the bed was fine. Did not use gym or pool, but they both looked great. Ron M. Norfolk-VA-USA

A stop-over hotel very near train station. Not very comfortable but nice location. A good choice.

The hotel is next to both the JR and Keisei stations. Catch the train from the airport rather than waiting for the infrequent hotel shuttle.

The ONLY reson for staying her would be the proximity to Narita station (one stop before airport on the Airport Express JR line from Tokyo and the free shuttle to the airport. The staff were business like but not welcoming. The dollar exchange rate was 6% worse than the rate in the Sunroute or the ANA hotels we stayed in. There was a tiny bathroom with […] only two towels and poor ventilation. The air con in the body of the hotel was poor and it was hot and humid compared to other hotels we stayed in. Vraiment à deux pas des gares de chemin de fer (à peine 5mn à pieds) tout le confort d'un bon hôtel assez anonyme mais très confortable; Les chambres sont de taille "à la japonaise" c'est à dire plus petites qu''en France mais très soignées. J'ai été très satisfait.

Einfaches Flughafenhotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Leider exclusive Frühstück und LAN-Anschluss. Bahnhof nur 5 Minuten Fussweg entfernt, dass Hotel bietet aber auch ein Shuttlebuss zum Flughafen an, welcher im Angebot inbegriffen ist.

Prijs, kwaliteitverhouding van het hotel is prima. De ligging perfect. 10 minuten het de hotelshuttle naar de luchthaven en midden in het authentieke dorp Narita. Erg leuk stadje met erg mooie tempel.

Hyvällä paikalla keskellä Naritaa, aivan rautatieasemien ja bussiaseman vieressä. Asialliset huoneet, ystävällinen palvelu. Hyvä ja edullinen buffet-lounas, lapset ja yli 60v erikoishintaan. très pratique pour un court stop sur NARITA, prestations en rapport avec le prix.

Hotel idealement placé au centre ville Quartier calme Petit dejeuner : tres bien Hotel qui se situe à 15mn à pied du parc avec les temples (à visiter)

Hôtel très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport de Narita. Les environs sont intéressants à découvrir, à pied (très beau temple à proximité, très beau parc). Par contre, l'état de l'hôtel est vétuste. La salle de bain devrait être remplacée (robinet, toilettes, douche...), la moquette et la télé aussi. Bon accueil du personnel, très courtois (lors d'un […] problème avec la climatisation, l'intervention a été immédiate). Good location very close to train station. Room rate matches to its quality, but carpet is dirty. (Old hotel) Free shuttle bus is not convenient to my schedule. Morning flight ar 10:00AM, but 1st bus operates at 7:00AM, and 8:30AM for the next bus. We have to spend 3050yen to Airport by taxi.

La qualité de l'hôtel est déjà excellente au départ, mais il faut en plus savoir qu'ils ont accepté de nous prendre une journée plus tôt (nous avions été obligé de quitter notre précédent Hotel, le Sunroute Plazza à Tokyo Disneyland, parce qu'il n'arrivait pas à accepter notre carte Mastercard, alors que tous les magasins des deux parcs, ainsi que l'hôtel […] Mercure par ailleurs, l'avait accepté sans le moindre problème !). Les chambres sont confortables, le menu des repas disponibles en chambre correcte quoi qu'un peu restreinte. La climatisation est un peu forte (le minimum souffle déjà trop fort !), mais ça semble être le cas dans beaucoup d'hôtels. Lisateave
