I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and location of the hotel. I usually think of staying in Santa Barbara is by the beach, but this location was just fine with a beautiful view of the mountains and quite reasonably priced. A great breakfast too! will definitely stay there again

Whoever was the night manager there on our second stay tried to kick us out on the second night for a noise complaint that was called in before we got to the hotel. We hadn't even opened our hotel room when we were confronted by cops. Would not stay here again. This is completely unacceptable.

This was a first and last night of a road trip so we stayed in a variety of places, all about the same price range but varying widely in comfort,cleanliness and one place was positively creepy. We stayed here 3 nights prior to Thanksgiving 2012 exploring Santa Barbara. This hotel is not new construction, but it is nicely remodeled and maintained in tip-top condition. The maids do an excellent job keeping things spotless. The office staff was helpful and friendly. The word "continental breakfast" does not quite do justice since you get most […] everything one would want or need for a very well balanced breakfast. The hotel is one block from Trader Joe's. So you can make good use of the refrigerator in the room. It is also close to a gas station, CVS, and numerous restaurants - everything yo need. It has excellent freeway access if you are driving and want to do sight-seeing. You can park downtown all day for $10, or $5 for an evening. However, you do not need a car. If you are on foot and like to walk, you can walk about a mile downtown to the historical-museum attractions and shopping. If you are tired, you can take the Number 6 or 11 bus that runs often. The rooms are reasonably quiet too. No squeaky floors and little traffic noise. The heater/AC and the TV worked great. No burned out light bulbs. This place is a great value, and we were both very happy with it. Enjoy. We did! Lisateave

We were pleasantly surprised by the recently renovated room. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a nice size refrigerator ,free WiFi and parking. The breakfast was more than adequate for all ages. Coffee was available at all hours . Centrally located and in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to local restaurants.

We love to stay there even though only one night. The only complain is the upstair neighbor walking around like an elephant and all night long like security guard in London, England.

It was okay. I stayed one night. It was not to far from downtown SB (about 2 miles). I would stay here again. Clean, everyone was polite. One thing I can see the parking lot filling up. There was no vacancy the night I stayed and there was only 2-3 spots available-small lot. But overall would stay again - felt safe.

I made reservations for 2 rooms for four senior citizens a month before our stay. One room was on the second floor and the other on the ground floor at opposite ends of the hotel. We left Sunday at 8:45am and returned around 4:00 PM. Neither one of our electronic keys would open our doors. We had to go to the office and have them "re-keyed." When we […] did get in we found the rooms had not been made up. We were told that the housekeepers have no schedule and the rooms are usually done by 5:00pm or 6:00pm. We had planned on having and rest and then going out for dinner. When the room was finally done, we were left with one wash cloth, the coffee I used was not replaced, the plastic glasses we used were not replaced, and the condiment package I used was not replaced. The first morning we went to breakfast, my wife noticed that the blinds on the window above the waffle maker were dusty and dirty. We reported it to the desk. He said it would be taken care of. I enjoyed my stay at the Quality Inn. It was located in a nice quiet residential neighborhood. The hotel room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Across the street was a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and two stores down was a Trader Joe's.

When we arrived at check-in time (3PM) we were asked to come back later around (5pm) because there were no rooms ready. Upon entering our rooms one smelled horrid and had stained sheets and the other room had a wet chair that we found out after sitting on it. Romantic weekend getaway from the kids and we ended up with 2 double beds instead of one queen. Fortunately the 2nd came into use as a luggage rack. The room was clean but very small. Arrived on a hot day and to stay cool we had our choice of the air conditioner or an open window. The air conditioner went off, loudly, every five minutes waking you and when we tried the window the road noise was too loud to be able to sleep. location was convenient to events surrounding a family wedding at sbcc and the hyatt beach house reception. staff was helpful with directions. breakfasts were good and easy to access timewise. closeness to trader joe's, cvs and the park were convenient.

We needed just one night in Santa Barbara. This was just right. The prices in SB are outrageous...and technically this room was overpriced, but not for SB. Clean, safe, convenient, quiet, not so huge there are a ton of people, breakfast is pretty good.
