Designed spacious rooms in the quite area of the old centre in the downtown of Lucerne

Very great location, to the center 2 minutes, walk from the station 7-10 minutes or 3 minutes by bus. Renovated rooms, very clean. Bad that there is no kettle in the room, but there is a hot water boiler at the reception. Very good breakfast.

Excellent location , Great Breakfast, comfortable stay & very helpful staff. I stayed with my family of 5 in 2 rooms last week. Highly recommended.

Great Hotel, I would just take a taxi to the hotel the first time just to figure out where exactly it is if you are with your luggage, will cost you around 12-15 Swiss Franc. Nice big room and great breakfast buffet.

We stayed here in March. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, there was plenty of food even late in the morning. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the train station and to the city center. The room was simple, but fairly large for a european hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean hotel, short walk to the train station, excellent complimentary breakfast. Wifi was a little slow and had to be purchased for about $5.00 for 24 hours. The staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay there again!

Friendly staff, spoke english well. Spacious room. Location is good, not right in the middle of everything, but totally walkable to the old town. Streets felt safe at night.

Absolutely loved it! The charm of the hotel fit in perfect with the charm of Switzerland. We stayed 5 nights so I think we had a bit bigger room. It was very comfortable and pretty much exactly what we envisioned a Swiss hotel being. The staff left us little treats in our room and the Breakfast buffet was one of the best!! The staff was also very friendly […] and helpful at giving us directions and suggestions of places to see, places to eat, where to catch the bus, and pretty much anything else we wanted to know including destinations in other cities and how to get there. We had a great stay at this hotel. It was well located close to both the train station, river and main tourist sights. The staff were very help ful and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.

The location of this hotel is great as it is only about a 5 minute walk from the train station and couple of minutes away from the Cathedral bridge and the old town. Beds were comfortable and the room had a good amount of space. Heated towel racks in the bathroom were a nice touch but the room was always warm despite the cold temperature outside. The […] room had heaters in the room as well as 2 windows that were able to be fully opened. Breakfast was good and nothing overly different from any other Swiss hotels. Croissants, bread, cheese slices, meat slices, juices, eggs, diced bacon, yoghurt, fruit salad. The one issue I didn't realize was that this hotel charges a 2chf tax per day not included in your rate that they will collect upon checkout. Maybe this is standard in Lucerne. This was a very nice hotel. Close to most of the major sites and the train station. We actually had a very nice size room with plenty of room to move.

The hotel is easy to find & right in the middle of everything. You have to park on the street but we were lucky & got a spot right beside the hotel. Very clean & compfy rooms. The front desk people were totally AMAZING!!!!!! Breakfast is good especially the added benifit of OJ & Champagne every morning. Price was good for Switzerland. You can walk to […] everything from this hotel in a matter of minutes. Had a room on the 5th floor with beautiful views. There is traffic noise but afterall, it is a city. Excellent and friendly staff, breakfast and location (we like to be close to a city's main railroad station) adequate. Perhaps the only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the bathroom fan comes on automatically when the lights go on, but remains on after the lights go out for another 10 minutes.

The hotel was very clean,good service,good location,central to everything, overall it meet all our needs.

From the moment of our arrival to the moment we left, all the staff were excellent, very friendly and it always amazes me how they can switch languages so easily. English, to German, to French. Our room was spacious though being on a major road did have its draw backs, but the double glazing did help a lot with the noise. Very centrally located within […] Lucerne, for examply, the old bridge/river/museums/restaurants being less than 10 minutes walk away. The local buses are very frequent and the bus stop was just around the corner from the hotel. Just take the No 10 and it takes you to the main train station/bus station and boat stations and you get back on where you get off which is good to know. Our only negative points for this hotel was having to pay for the internet use. Most hotels now offer free wi-fi...this hotel doesnt. Also, the breakfast was maybe not the best choice we have come across, still hearty but something was just not "clicking" for us anyway.Finally, dont forget to add on the "per person, per night city tax"..when we were checking out, it was a bit of a shock to have been handed a bill. Maybe our mistake for not reading the terms of booking...but over all...a well deserved 3*** hotel. Lisateave

The hotel staff is really great. The hotel is close to the train station and in a good neighborhood. As others have said, ask for a room in the back as it is quieter. Just be aware that there is no air conditioning but they do provide fans. We just happened to be there during a heat wave.

Hotel Drei Kronige was about a 10--15 minute walk from train station. Nice clean comfortable room with clean bathroom and shower. A little off the beaten path but in nice clean, safe, quiet neighborhood. Five minute walk to main tourist area -covered bridge, river, etc. Best value in Lucerne I could find.

compared to all the other Swiss hotels, this did not compare in price value, customer service, and was the only one that had warnings of pick pocketers. it was one of the higher priced hotels also.

The hotel location is near to the Lucerne train station. But if you have a lot of luggages, you may need to get a taxi to the hotel although its about 10 minutes walk from train station. Taxi fares in Switzerland is pretty expensive. The hotel location is near to most of the places of attraction, and its just a minute walk to the famous Chapel bridge. […] The service of the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and comfortable in good location. Staff were very helpful, but had problem with Wi-fi and were unable to connect. Close to old city. Parking in street 10eurosnper 24 hours. Breakfast included was good value for money.

this was our favorite hotel in Europe. great location only about a 7 minute walk from the train station. the staff was polite and super helpful (especially the afternoon guy). the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept on. the room was super cozy and if your on one of the higher floors you have a great view of the alps if you stick your head […] out of the window. Quiet. Good location. Easy walking distance to all areas.

The Hotel Drei Koenige is wonderful. Full of old world charm. The staff was very accomodating, allowing us to leave our luggage while we toured Lucerne. The rooms are large with plenty of space to move around, unlike modern hotel rooms. No air conditioning but there is a fan in the room and plenty of windows. My favorite hotel in our 10 day stay. Excellent value, great location, very good breakfast. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

1. front desk staff are argumentative, unhelpful and downright rude. Whatever you ask for will be met with an argument. 2. hotel does NOT have air conditioning and the small fan is a poor joke. 3. rooms are VERY noisy because of the busy street below. 4. Overpriced even for Swiss hotels--at best it should be a 2-star hotel. 5. No value at this hotel--avoid […] at all costs. Lisateave

Room was comfortable. No AC but had a fan that helped alot. Staff was very friendly. It was my birthday while there and they sent me a box of candy. Close to old town and shopping.

Room was not ready until after the time promised. Cleanliness of the room was not the best. we found a dirty towel inside the room after checked-in. Bathroom smelt bad. Of course room with no A/C. We were put in the annex building with no services (ice or sodas machines) in any floor. No free internet available in any place in the facility. Room was […] big and quiet and was a plus (room 704). You would need to walk a bit from the station but it is quiet and cozy.

We found the hotel to be conveniently located to the train station and the local attractions. It was in a safe area and the rooms were adequately furnished. There is not air conditioning but they did provide fans.

We stayed at this hotel in July, 2009. We booked it because it was about the only one we could afford that was available in Lucerne. While acknowledging that nearly everything in Lucerne is over priced, frankly just about everything about the hotel was "average." I would not stay there again. No air, for one thing. This charming hotel is not a big box--it offers clean, comfortable rooms and is located about 5 minute walk away from the city center and main attractions. The walk is a nice one, down cobblestone streets. The desk staff may be a bit harsh, but no worries....they still get you what you need so don't be so sensitive! Too many tour groups. Definitely on the tour bus circuit. Although, they handle them sufficiently. Staff if excellent. Hotel needs updating.

We were very pleased with the hotel and service. The hotel is in a nice area of town which is alittle walk from the lake. Their pub next door to the hotel was a nice gahering place in the evening. Lucerne is a great town to stay in.
