Residence Imperiale - Pariis

It worked out well because major sight seeing places were nearby.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Residence Imperiale. The room and bathroom were clean and modern and the staff were also quite friendly. Also, the neighborhood is great from a practical perspective. Having a Carrefour (grocery store) across the street was hugely convenient for grabbing quick snacks and loading up on any personal care items you'd rather […] not haul through airport security. There is also a corner bakery nearby (to the left, if looking at the front door) which had tasty but affordable pastries/coffee for breakfast, and a few affordable cafes/bakeries a few blocks away along Avenue Grand Armee. However, while it is very close to the Metro and RER, it is somewhat out of the way from the major touristy sites: it's about a 45 minute walk to Notre Dame, 30 minutes to Tour Eiffel, 15 minutes to Champs Elysees, and 10 minutes to the Arc d'Triomphe. Overall, while we did enjoy our stay, we will probably stay closer to the heart of the city next time (e.g., Latin Quarter). Lisateave

We stayed at the Hotel Malakoff over the very hot weekend at the end of September. The staff were very good indeed. The attention to detail of the chamber staff left a liitle to be desired, but not to the extent where it became a major problem. The rooms are becoming a little tired. Overall, the stay was fine, and the location was good.

Very close to Metro & Champs Elysees... Supermarket (Carrefour) is across the hotel. Very kind and helpful, English speaking staff. However, we were stayed in the triple room but the amenities were prepared for only 2 persons. Bathroom is equipped with a bathtub but the shower curtain seemed a bit old and tainted. The room can be cleaned better... But […] overall, it was a good stay considering the price what we paid in Paris. Lisateave

Hotel staff was very friendly, english speaking & gave good directions to get around. Located close enough to major attractions. Rooms are clean but small and have thin walls...our biggest complaint was that we had a 1st floor room near an outside sitting area, and when people came in late at night their conversations and drinking kept us awake; however, […] the the hotel staff did respond to us and asked the guests outside to move once we complained. The hotel was in a nice area. Just off of the main strip. The metro station was only about a 1 minute walk from the front of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and help us find a nice little restaurant just down the street. They answered all our questions about the city.

I stayed at the Residence Imperiale for three nights and was really impressed. It's a great location for the money. You're within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and a lot of good attractions. The rooms are tiny though.

The hotel is just off the porte maillot roundabout, 1min from the metro and around a half an hour walk to Place de la Concorde. It was spotless, modern and had really helpful staff. we stayed in the hotel for four days and did not have a bad thing to say about it. the staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and tidy and the location was closer to the city than we had thought. also metro link was so close (100 metres) that you could go anywhere you wanted. would definetely stay there again.

At first appearance the hotel was very nice. The lobby and reception desk looked similar to pictures. Although very small. There was a rotation of employees working the front desk.The first woman we had was very nice and friendly. The other two employees were slightly more cold but pleasant none the less. When we got to our superior room it was definitely […] a shock at how small it was. We knew it would be small but it was much smaller than our expectations. Especially considering that it was a superior room. I can't even imagine the standard rooms being any smaller. The room was nice though. It has a balcony and a clean bathroom. The only things I would consider grungy would be the bottom of the shower curtain and our closet mirror had a crack in it. Fairly typical for a 3 star hotel so we didn't mind. One morning we got woken up by the fire alarm going off so we went downstairs in our pajamas to see what was going on and nobody told us anything. They all acted as if nothing was happening. So we went back to our room. We still don't know exactly what went on. A small downside to the hotel was the maids. They were quite rude on numerous occasions. But other than that the hotel was in a good location and in good condition. The staff was good and it was just about what you would expect for the star rating. I think if I were to go back to Paris I would likely stay at a different hotel though. Lisateave

Stayed 2 nights in transit to and from rugby match in Clermot-Ferrand. Comfortable, clean and free wi-fi. Very convenient to Ligne 1 metro and Ryanair bus. We will most likely be back.

Hotel is situated near public transportation: Subway, Bus. and Air France Airport bus. Very quiet, well maintained. Rooms are very small which makes it hard to move for two, also not Internet connection, two negatives. Excellent Corsican restaurant half a block away ( a bit pricy for us with converted Euros from Dollars. ) Overall great hotel.

Great location, close to the Metro and many restaurants. However, the Hotel is small and so are the rooms; ok for the price I guess.

We spent 3 days/2 nights in Paris last week and had a wonderful time. Friends had stayed at this hotel and recommended it to us. It is right by the metro with a bus stop right out front. The hotel room was small but typical of Paris. And as stated in other reviews the elevator is tiny but again typical of Paris. The bed was comfortable, room was clean. […] The walls were a bit thin. We could hear the person snoring in the room next to us. The hairdryer is a bit of a joke, basically an air hose so bring your own if you don't want to take 20 minutes to dry your hair. The hotel staff were great and let us check out but keep our bags there since we didn't fly out til 9:30pm. Great restaurants just to the right as you walk out the hotel. La Papa was a good Italian place, decently priced for Paris and good sized portions. The pastry/chocolate shop near it had great quiche in the mornings and the best chocolate eclairs. Another restaurant, I think it was called Villa Costa was also great, pricier with smaller portions but good Parisian food. Lisateave

The hotel was located about 100m from a metro station. There was a bank with an ATM next to the hotel and a supermarket across the street which were very convenient. The rooms were a little small but about what I expected and the service was good. They helped me call for a taxi when I wanted to go the airport. The hotel is right off the Champs Elysees […] and there are many restaurants within walking distance. With the metro so close, anyplace in Paris in not that far away. This hotel is not great, but not so bad. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, we were placed on the 1st floor (according to european system) overlooking the main street. It was actually pleasant and once the windows were closed, you could barely hear the street noise. My one complain was smoking. This hotel is suppose to be non-smoking, but everytime […] we stepped into the hallway it would smell of smoke. We were reassured that we were on a non-smoking floor, but there was no way it was non-smoking. Also this hotel is suppose to be air conditioned, but the thermostat was broken. When we got to our room, we began using the thermostat to cool the room down, but instead all we got was hot air. I would advise future people staying at this hotel to stay in the room to the right of elevator towards the end of the hallway. That room is slighty bigger and cleaner and with an upgraded thermostat that works. The hotel location is close to the metro where you can line 1 so getting to major attraction is few stops away. This was a good all-around hotel. I didn't have any significant complaints. Here are the pluses: -- Very convenient to the Arc of Triumph, Champs Elysee, metro, airport shuttle service, and local restaurants, plus there was a grocery store right across the street. -- Well air-conditioned. The temperature seemed to regulate itself perfectly as we didn't […] even need to even change the dial during our 3 nights. -- Free wifi and Internet access. There's a free laptop available in the lobby if you don't have one. -- They'll hold your luggage for you after you check out. -- Small refrigerator in your room. -- The window drapes are nice. -- Nice and quiet (except for an occasional door opening and closing abruptly right outside the room). I'll also list some very minor negatives just because I love to do it: -- The continental breakfast was 14 Euros and they stock your refrigerator with overpriced drinks, hoping that you'll be too thirsty to look elsewhere. -- Beds are a little spartan and stiff. Could have used a fluffier pillow and another blanket option or cover sheet. -- Some of the cable TV stations have poor reception. -- The front desk attendants could have been a little warmer and provide more specific instructions about how to find a recommended restaurant (ie: name and address, not just an approximate location on a map) -- The Internet connection is a little slow. -- The shower and sink controls seem a little alien at first for those from the US. -- Wanted separate soap for the shower, not just for the sink. Some napkins or paper towels in the room for eating/ drinking would have been nice too. Lisateave

The location is great with plenty of good restaurants and cafes located within a walking distance. The rooms were clean, except for the shower curtain that needed to be changed. The bathroom is rather small and the toilet is right next to the shower and not much room to move around. Overall great deal for the price paid given all the pros, mainly the […] location. If you are traveling with toddler you might want to consider a hotel with room service as it might be convenient, however there is a supermarket across from the hotel and so many other places nearby you can buy anything you need and was turned out to be not that much of an issue for us. All in all, for a two night stay, this hotel worked great for us. Lisateave

This hotel is strategically placed, very close to the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower. The staff is cordial and very friendly and the rooms quiet and clean. I would certainly recommend it to all my friends.

Je trouve que notre chambre était petite . Sur les photos elles paraissent + grandes .

Situation géographique excellente (à 10 minutes à pied des champs élysées). Dans la chambre, la propreté n'est pas top, quelque poils inconnus se baladent dans la baignoire... La pomme de douche était en mauvais état, fuite : éclaboussant la moitié de la salle de bain. Le service est plutôt bon, mis à part l’accueil chaleureux du gardien qui vient […] de se réveiller :-) L’ascenseur grince quand les portes s'ouvrent, très désagréable en pleine nuit ou tôt le matin. Le hall d'entrée présente bien, mais la chambre est douteuse, il y a des toiles d'araignées au plafond, la salle de bains devait être bien dans les années 60, douche froide... Il n' y a pas de bouilloire dans la chambre, ni de quoi se faire un thé ou un café... Le petit déjeuner est correct, il se prend dans une salle située en sous sol, le personnel […] n'est pas désagréable. Les 3 étoiles doivent dater de plusieurs années! Lisateave

Residence Imperiale ligger tæt på metro, gode bus forbindelser og ikke mindst gå afstand til Triumfbuen. Super udgangspunkt for en dejlig tur i Paris. Alt i alt en rigtig god oplevelse. Tak for det!

Trevlig hotell och personal! Gratis Wi-Fi. Bra läge! Nära T-bana/RER och Triumfbågen. Frukostbuffén var OK men priset var högt i förhållande till innehållet (femton euro/dag). Hotellets A/C-system fungerar inte på nätterna (under vintern i alla fall), vilket var ett stort minus. Bra vid affärsresor.

God beliggenhet. God pris. God service. Bare et minus - dårlig frokost som dessuten er overpriset. Med andre ord: Meget god valuta for pengene, men frokosten bør du ta et annet sted.

Bra hotell toppenläge nära congress center och flygbussarna (Skavsta) 5 min från Triumfbågen rekommenderar detta hotell varmt

Gute Lage,nahe bei Metro und Bus, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Paris geeignet, Zimmer sind klein, im Haus ist es sehr ringhörig, Badezimmer sehr klein und eng, es fehlen überall Haken um Kleider etc. aufzuhängen, Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, im allgemeinen gute Sauberkeit

Hadde aldri vært i Paris før. Vi var 3 "damer": en i 40 årene, samt to i tenårene og ung voksen alder. Et lite hotell med kun 38 rom. Valgte hotellet ut fra beliggenhet. Relativt dyrt strøk, men trygt å oppholde seg utendørs også på kveldstid. Nær metro og buss stopp for Air France, 900 meter fra Triumfbuen, ca 2 km fra Eifelltårnet (fint å gå - ta […] til høyre ved utgangsdøra og følg veien rett frem over stor rundkjøring med fontene). Eiffeltårnet bør for øvrig besøkes tidlig om morgenen på en ukedag, velg å gå trappene - lite kø. Fint å ta en tur ned også på kveldstid for å se belysningen. Linje 1 Metro går til La Defense som er et flott forettningsstrøk med bra shoppingmuligheter. Andre veien går linje 1 mot sentrum. Operakvartalet og gaten Boulevard Houssmann er verd et besøk om en har med seg unge damer. Det samme er Montmartre med kunstnerkvartalet og Sacre Ceur. Hva gjelder rommet var det grei nok størrelse på rommet, som inneholdt 2 store skap med safe og minibar, og bra senger (3 enkeltsenger), Rent og pent bad. Teppet og renholdet var ikke det beste, klagde på vasken. En av oss ble sittende fast i heisen i 15 min - men betjeningen stod "på pinne" for å løse situasjonen. Generelt fremstår hotellet som slitt, og ikke noe mer enn 3 stjerner. En bør definitivt valge 4 eller 5 stjerners i Paris, (mellom og syd Europa). Hotellet var et dyrt 3 stjerners hotell, men antar prisen avhenger av beliggenhet og sesong. I bydeler som feks Montparnasse kan en gjennom samme nettsider (hotels.com) få billigere hoteller med høyere standard. Lobbyen var bra, men hotellet kunne ikke tilby noe sted hvor en kunne oppholde seg utenfor rommet. Trange ganger, liten heis som ikke passer for feks barnevogner/rullestoler. Frokostsalen - lite inbydende: mørk, lite utvalg, skitne møbler og fikk følelsen av å komme tilbake til kollonitiden. Vi spiste alle måltider utenfor hotellet. TIl orientering kan butikk- og restaurantpersonalet i nærheten lite engelsk. Serviceinnstilling til de som job Lisateave

Sehr gute Lage zu einer Metrostation, somit sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sehr komfortabel zu erreichen. Das Hotel zeichnete sich besonders durch die sehr aufmerksamen Mitarbeiterinnen der Reception aus. Die Zimmer sind auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt bestens geeignet, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut.

The location is great -- close to the metro and walking distance to the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower. Also close to public bike stations -- love them. The traffic can be noisy, but the windows block out almost all sounds. Would be good if they can add a shower curtain to the glass screen, because that will help keep the bathroom floor dry!
