Best Western Hotel Maggiore - Bologna

Would really recommend this hotel! The service is excellent, the interiors are well maintained and clean. Breakfast buffe is very good. They also serve dinner on weekdays, tried that once and the food was good. The location (outside the city center) is not a problem, there are frequent buses and the bus stop is around the corner. The location, on the outskirts was compensated for by the proximity to the airport and the frequent and reliable no13 trolley bus running every 4 to 7 minutes

Lovelly Hotel,clean,friendly &the staff were only too pleased to be of assistance. It is well situated for both airport and centre of Bologna. There are excellent resturants within a short walk from the hotel,one to the left just after the supermarket and one to the right ...food and staff in both the restuarants were excellent full of local people […] which in itself is proof of good quality food. Best feature was the short distance to the airport. It was clean and the staff were friendly. It definitely had no charm however and was not near anything but the airport.

The staff is great and they are very helpful. The hotel is nice, clean and priced at a bargain price. Parking is private and easy to find. The surrounding neighborhood looks more dodgy than it really is because Bologna has a significant problem with graffiti. Call it freedom of expression for a frustrated Italian youth culture and it is on the most […] important landmarks of Bologna as well. This property is graffiti free, felt very safe and had an outstanding complimentary breakfast. The only challenge was in keeping our room cool enough, although it should be noted that there was a record setting heat wave occurring during our visit. We visited here with our family of six and used two rooms, which was as crowded as you would want to be in the room sizes. Lisateave

This place was terrific. Just a little out of the center of town. About a twenty five minute stroll to the heart of Bologna. But this little gem of a hotel loans bicycles for free. And the wifi, although a bit slow, was also free. The breakfast was excellent. The room cleaning was excellent. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. I had an […] awesome time and the staff only insured that I will not ever bother searching for alternate accommodations in Bologna. They were all great. I loved this place. Lisateave

Bathroom smells like a sewer and not sure why. Shower doors did not close properly.

The hotel is very close to the airport. I took the Aerobus there. The first stops is near this hotel. The place is not quite near Central Bologna, but the bust that is around the corner will take you there in a matter of minutes. Just make sure to know where to get off and to get on. Otherwise if I was going through this area again I would stay here […] again. There is a huge market nearby for drinks and such. The staff was nice and spoke English. You could take the bus to the train station from this location, but ended getting a cab. I was connecting to another city via train on Liberation day and buses were scarcely running. Lisateave

Clean and cozy the lady at reception is really kind and professional

The hotel staff was very helpful and eager to please. The breakfast was good and the rooms clean and comfortable. However, we had absolutely no water pressure in the shower. (Note: We were located on the 8th floor.) At first, we had a small stream of water, then halfway through the shower, it just gave out completely.

We stayed in this hotel for one week from 20 July 2010. It was a joy to come back to after a day of site seeing in the centre of Bologna throughout the day. The bus stop (literally arround the corner on the right, the stop is on Via Emilia Ponente and is only one euro, which is valid for 60 mins, takes about 10 mins to get to the centre, The bus number […] is 13 and run approx every ten minutes). The breakfast was very good, which included your typical continental breakfasts as well as bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, juices, water, croissants (truelly delicious!!) , preserves, cereals, yogurts, etc (the waitress would aslo bring you a coffee if you requested it from her as opposed to using the machine). They also cater for various dietary requirements to suit individual needs. Our room was immaculately cleaned every day (although there was no need to) and fluffy white towels every day too!. Our bedding was changed at least three times that week also. What we did not know was that in the evening, the breakfast room which is in the basement, serves evening meals (I think this may be run by other people). We tried it a couple of times, it was okay however we went to a restaurant called Friase (approx 5 min walk by the bus stop, at least four times that week, food there was good!). We also tried another restaurant called Girlandia (turn left then left again, it is just by the supermarket). And yes, minutes away on the left of the hotel is a huge supermarket, great for stocking up on water, etc. The hotel also has bikes that you can borrow free of charge too. Overall a great hotel, with truelly lovely and friendly staff (especially the lady at reception when we arrived and the young lady in the breakfast room, they were both lovely!!). I would not hesistate to stay at this hotel again, it was wonderful!!! Lisateave

Although the room was exceptionally small (which may be the norm in Italy, I do not know since this was my first hotel experience in this country), it was extremely clean, even by American standards. There were nice little touches, too, such as a postcard of Bologna and a little package of cookies on the pillow. There was a continental breakfast available […] daily, and dinner as well (but not every day, never did figure out the schedule). A basket of apples was set out in the lobby for the guests, little snacks such as chips and peanuts were set out in the evening, and there was a bar adjacent to the lobby. I was a somewhat demanding guest, as my luggage was lost in Rome and the gentleman at the front desk graciously assisted me in communicating with the appropriate people and finally arranging for the luggage delivery when it was located. I don't speak any Italian and was traveling alone, so was relieved to find that this gentleman spoke fluent English and was happy to answer my questions. There was a woman working the front desk at one point that wasn't quite as fluent in English, but she and everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. A dependable wireless internet connection was available, but the t.v. was a little difficult to figure out. Lisateave

If I recommend this hotel, may the lent price to be expensive? But I can't stop speaking about their kind, clean room and good breakfast. Thanks and We want see them again

Quarto individual extremamente pequeno, apesar de bem equipado e limpo. Não é muito perto do centro, mas há ponto de ônibus bem perto e o hotel oferece empréstimo de bicicleta. Funcionários extremamente atenciosos.

Fair rates, wifi, parking space are significant pluses for the hotel. Location isn't great if you need to rely on buses, but again the price/quality ratio is anyway very good.

saber, freundlich, Personal ausgezeichnet das Hotel Best Western Maggiore in Bologna liegt in einer Zone ohne hohe Bauten ausserhalb des sehenswerten Altstadtkerns Verkehr stark, Ausfallstrasse, mit Auto gut erreichbar auch mit Bus bis spät in die Nacht für kurze Aufenthalte ideal

Távozáskor nem állítottak ki számlát azzal a kifogással, hogy mivel a számla kiegyenlítése bankkártyával történt, nem tudnak számlát kiállítani. A kiküldetés költségei közt nem tudom elszámolni, holott céges bankkártyával fizettem. Így jártam 2010.októberben is.

to dobry hotel, choć w pokoju 3 osobowym, trzecie łóżko dostawiono, przeco było ciasno. Czysto. Smaczne i obfite sniadanie, miła obsługa

Quarto funcional, com decoração antiquada. Box de banho de tamanho indecente. Café da manhã extremamente artificial para quem se encontra na região da Emilia-Romagna.

Personale molto gentile e cordiale, camere pulite, colazione ottima. Nel mio caso, la stanza singola era davvero minuscola, molto rumorosa, con connessione wifi davvero impossibile da usare, lenta e dicontinua, bagno minuscolo, circa 6 canali disponibili sulla tv. L'aria condizionata spara direttamente sul letto!

Flinkt personale. Der går bus meget tæt på til centrum, men det er genialt at man kan låne en cykel, så man virkelig kan komme omrking

l'hôtel est très bien , confortable , propre le petit déjeuner est sous forme de buffet et toujours copieux mais l'hôtel est trop excentré .Le centre historique est à 2km et malheureusement le quartier ou se trouve l'hôtel est sale et pas très accueillant.

Meget godt hotel med venlige medarbejder. Minibar, kaffemaskine fri internet, handicap venlig toilet. Der var cykler til rådighed for fri afbenyttelse. Lånte 2 cykler og cyklede de 3 kilometer til midtbyen. God morgenmad i meget hyggelige omgivelser. Hotellet kan varmt anbefales.

Das Hotel ist etwas ausserhalb gelegen und schön ruhig. Per Bus und Taxi ist man jedoch schnell im Zentrum. Die gepflegten Zimmer waren sauber und erfüllten ihren Zweck. Da wir geschäftlich unterwegs waren legten wir keinen grossen Wert auf Freizeitangebote. Nous avons pu profité d'une promotion très intéressante tout en bénéficiant d'un confort et d'une qualité excellents.

Ik verbleef met mijn dochter de laatste nacht in dit hotel, daar het een maar een paar kilometer van de luchthaven ligt en gemakkelijk met de bus te bereiken is (per Aero Bus, vertrek elk halfuur, ong. 5 minuten lopen vanaf het hotel). Dineren is daar niet mogelijk. Er zijn echter verschillende restaurants in de buurt waaronder een geweldige pizzeria. […] Het ontbijt was overheerlijk en vanaf 6.30 am was het buffet open. Voor ons kwam dat goed uit, ivm het vertrek van ons vliegtuig om 9 uur. Met de bus kom je gemakkelijk in het centrum van Bologna, bovendien stelt het hotel een fiets ter beschikking. Hotel Maggiore is echt een aanrader. Lisateave

Per una serie di ragioni mi capita di frequente di pernottare in alberghi di categoria superiore e dunque ero un po' scettico sulle virtù declamate per questo albergo. Ebbene: ho dovuto ricredermi. Personale cortese, camera ampia, letto comodo, prima colazione abbondante e di buona qualità, con un parcheggio riservato ed a pochi metri dalla fermata […] dei mezzi pubblici diretti al centro. E per sovrappiù la bottiglietta d'acqua che ho preso dal minifrigo era compresa nel prezzo! Se proprio vogliamo trovare un piccolo neo, segnalo la scomodità della posizione del supporto del rubinetto della doccia e degli erogatori di shamppo e bagnoschiuma. Ma si tratta di inezie rispetto alle qualità dell'albergo. Lisateave
