We only stayed 1 night but the hotel was a good experience. When we checked in, the lobby was set up nice, the receptionist was very friendly and asked if i had a preference up or down stairs, he even asked if we would like help with our bags to our room =) the room was very nice (better than i expected) ...over all Curb appeal was great, lobby was […] fresh and clean, the morning breakfast was yummy, good selection!!! (my only complaints would be the carpet - in the hallway it looked dirty and the walls could use fresh coat of paint and maybe air freshner too...(hallways need attention too, not just the main lobby and rooms) Lisateave

When we arrived to the hotel it looked a little run down. The fact that the clerk was behind tempered glass made us feel a bit unsafe. The clerk didn't really acknowledge us but when he finally assisted us he was friendly enough. The housekeeping staff was friendly & helpful. Our room was clean but carpet was dirty. The shower & bath water had a lot […] of pressure & water was slow to drain so even though we showered the bath tub filled almost to the top. Over all our stay was ok Lisateave

I stayed for one night, arrived late. My reservation was recognized asap. Room was clean, sheets clean & fresh, very good shower & plenty of hot water, good towels (but not plush which I don't like anyway), tiny soaps made in India, etc. Over all experience was a 3.5 because my eye for details revealed little things needing repairs here & there, upkeep. […] But all in all it was good, secure, and it did the job. Records should show that my husband and I stay at Valley Inn & Conference "very" frequently. We've always been pleased with our stay...but I must say...each stay is becoming less comfortable. The room on this last stay just "okay" but if I were there instead of just my husband...I would have complained and I'm sure we would have been given another room. […] But on the last 2 stays the Ice Machines have been inoperable which is a big issue for my husband. This was a last minute booking that my wife and I needed in order to do a little shopping in the area. For what we needed which was a clean bed, shower, and a little noise from the tv so we could sleep; it was perfect.

This is a nice place to stay on our family vacation. We paid $64 a night, but it's worth it. The area looks safe and clean. It's conveniently close to the freeway and surrounded by many businesses. The room was clean, but you can tell it has aged. The outside was well maintained. Staff were friendly. Their breakfast included cereal, waffle maker, juice, […] milk, coffee, danish, bagels, and my favorite boil eggs. Not many hotels offer boil eggs. I would recommend this place. Lisateave

In order to get full benefit of AC, had to tie back curtain. Wall lamp next to bed had no outlet. Maintenance provided extension cord. Foyer chairs dirty. Hallway rugs filthy. Walls dirty. Door trims beat up. Tried to find outlet behind queen size headboard. Pulled out bed to gain access and headboard fell off. Looks as if cat scratches were on wall. […] Low grade furniture. Breakfast was good. In the past this hotel was owned by a bank. New owners are making an effort to slowly correct problems. Staff was as accommodating as possible. They have replaced many of the mattresses and box springs as evidenced by the pile of old ones in back parking lot. The hotel seems to have close to full occupancy. Why can't they spend a little money to shampoo hallway rugs. The card key didn't always work. I'm told they will be replacing them in near future. I visit my son and family in LA every 2 years. I will again try this hotel. If no improvements are made, on future trip, I'll book elsewhere. This hotel needs a lot of work. Lisateave

This place is a pretty good hotel. When we stayed we had the corner room on the first floor so it was really big. The front window had a door which was nice for taking luggage out in the morning. The bathroom was slightly strange due to the fact that it only had three wall and opened up to the rest of the bathroom. Overall it was a pretty good place […] to stay for a night or two. Lisateave

This hotel's location is close to one of my clients. I would probably never stay there except for proximity. I have used this hotel over the past 5 years and this time the hallway carpets were very dirty and spotted. There was a bad odor in the hallways. My room was clean and the bed comfortable.

The hotel could be really nice but it needs a complete overhaul!The pool area and the grounds are beautiful but the rooms are outdated and dirty. Upon check-in the girl at the desk told me that they were booked for the night but if we needed to switch rooms we could do so in the morning since we had reserved the room for three night. Our room was scary! […] We could feel every spring in the bed, there were not enough towels, the blackout curtains had holes because they were so old ,the alarm clock was from the 80's,the place was dirty and even had spiders! The staff was ok when I told them we wanted to cancel the rest of our stay. They did not even question why so they must know. Hopefully they can redo the rooms and brew some real coffee. I stayed here several times before year back,but this time the room I was placed Iin seeml like they just made the bed n threw some clean towels in the bath room! Nothing was sanitized! I did it myself!

Shower room clogged up-Requested for extra pillows/blankets, I was asked to check back since nothing available. Toilet seat cover is falling apart. No TV remote found in the room. Dirty drapes, tables/drawers. Bed stains all over. Appears bed-sheets/pillow cases, comforters were recycled/unchanged. There was some red marks on a pillowcase, the towels were rough, and the carpeting didn't feel like something I was willing to walk barefoot on. Also, the heavy curtains didn't seem to close all the way and our window was facing east where the morning sun comes in. Also not sure why the little fridge wasn't plugged in.

Breakfast was excellent. Our room had minor leaking shower. Location was convenient for our destination. It could use some dusting. Staff were courteous. I'll give it a 3.75 rating.

The location was great for us. We were greeted by friendly front desk staff. The hotel is old but the beds were VERY comfortable. The room was big and clean (2 queens) and I found it to be quiet. The breakfast is waffles, different breads and pastries, eggs, juice and coffee. Better then just a donut! The free wifi was great as was the free parking. […] I would stay here again. This wasa very dirty room, just to walk from the bed to the bathroom made my feet black with dirt. They could not manage to get the internet working at all. It just needed a password reset and no one had authority to do so. The lobby was filled with over 100 people and I do not think they were staying at the hotel. The Pictures of the Hotel look great so we thought we would give it a try. When we arrived the guy at the front desk was very nice. When i booked the hotel i asked for quiet rooms that are not facing the street. Unfortunately the door to my room was facing the ramp of the interstate. Without trying i fould a hair on the toilet seat, stains on the pillow, […] the blanket and the towels also seemed to have been used. This hotel definitely has seen better days and really needs a renovation. I am not germophob at all and cann look past many things but this night i was afraid i might catch something. Hotel is REALLY outdated. Everything is scratchy, cracked, broken, stained and smells horrible. Also it's situated near highway so it's really noisy.

Good for the price! Breakfast included boiled eggs and a Belgian waffle station. Generally the hotel is older, which is fine for me as an auditor since I wasn't in my room often. Tv worked fine, but was older CRT style. King bed room was large and spacious since its an older building. As other reviewers said, they give out the rooms facing the Sepulveda […] blvd first. Noisy after 6:30am, which is fine for early risers because you shower and breakfast is ready at 7. By the way, Sepulveda has a huge meridian (without physical barrier) in front of the hotel, which I drove across to make a left turn. Like 4 lanes wide...fun to drive! Lisateave

Outdated hotel overall, but still very comfortable! Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Only major complain I have is that the phone service was off for my whole 3 days stay. Other than that, rooms are pretty large, breakfast is basic but acceptable, and the location is convenient close to major freeways. I would definitively stay in this hotel […] again.. Lisateave

The hotel itself is actually pretty nice. The room was large. The beds (both of them) were awful, very uncomfortable, it felt like we were sleeping on the coils without any padding. Also, there was no hot water in the morning. Has the potential to be a very nice place, just need new matresses and hot water.

No hot water for showers on Saturday and Sunday. Street traffic wasn't muffled at all and could hear people when they talked outside by their cars or in the hallway. Parking spots are very slim... and not sure if related but car alarms went off almost every night. Stayed here because it was close to my family and we had a special week rate. Service is horrible as if no one knows what they are doing. The room we got had no shampoo we had to call twice for them to bring it up. The rooms are creepy at night. And buy the way don't leave anything lying around the lobby because it will be stolen. I was charging my phone I disconnected and turn my back for a second. Boom gone. This hotel isn't particularly fancy or anything like that, but it does have big, clean rooms (including mini fridges), a free (meager) breakfast buffet, free wifi, and easy parking. It's a bit removed from LA, but sometimes that's nice.
