Prima Galil - Tiberias

We expected the usual "motel 6" sort of place but we had a beautiful suite, a plate of fresh fruits and bottle of water waiting for us in our room, and an ample Israeli style breakfast. It's not high end or fancy, and it's a bit of a trek to the historical center, but for the price, a great find.

The Prima Galil came highly recommended by websites such as tripadvisor (6 out of 40 hotels in tiberias) but from the moment I left the recently refurbished reception I realised that the hotel was second rate. The stairwell was dirty, there was a mattress leaning on one of the hallway walls - quite simply the feel was of a dormatory!. I had ordered […] a suite so I figured that things would get better once I was in and the door was shut, This was not to be. The airconditioning unit in the lounge area made a noise, some of the furniture was shabby and the entire place felt lacking. Certainly it wasn't a home away from home. Whilst the checkout time is 11:00 I was disturbed three times! By the cleaners (at 10:10), by a knock on the door from a staff member asking me when I am vacating the room (at 10:30) and by a phone call from reception at 10:50 asking me when I am going to leave and reminding me that the policy was to do so before 11:00. There was no 'please' or 'thankyou' by any of the reception members, no 'how was your stay?', no 'how are you?', this too was utterly disappointing. Finally the surrounding area is not pleasant either. By the way I have never once written anything bad about a hotel, so whilst this review seems like I am just taking an opportunity to vent some anger, that is not the case. Lisateave

The staff was very helpful. The bathroom was great. The pool hours were very restrictive. Breakfasts were pretty good. In the lounge, the bartender had No Clue how to make a martini. I had to give her step by step instructions. Not a show-stopper but annoying. I would stay there again.

The hotel was located on a hilltop with nice views of Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee. A short 15 minute walk into town for dinner. A simple hotel without a lot of frills, but pleasant, quiet and clean. Good breakfast. Internet service in lobby and bar area only.

Located on a hill 15 minutes from the Lake, this hotel has good service, great views, nice clean rooms and decent food. It is not a luxury hotel by any means, but is a good value if you don not mind a walk.

We arrived as three people but were only booked as two. Our agency resolved this issue but it was a bad start. The room itself was fine as it appeared renovated but they forgot the bathroom, the bathroom was a mess. The first thing we do when we enter a hotel room is look for bed bugs, there were none, but the sheets were stained, lipstick stains, dirt […] stains, hair etc. The bathroom towels were stained. To the staff's credit all was resolved promptly. The staff were great, helpful, attentive and pleasant. They are just following policy, which I believe is keep costs down and maximize profit. We were there on a Friday night and a Saturday. Friday night there was a party, the noise was excessive and the internet is free only in the lobby and the party spilled into the lobby and it was crazy ( we had just had a long travel day and needed peace but I needed internet to resolve my booking issues). The heat was 46 on Saturday, during the day the pool was full with the people from the night before but closes at 5pm and though it was 38 at night we could not use the pool. We did find a free wi-fi band that we could use in our room and the Saturday was meant to be a rest day for us so we lucked out and did not have to leave the room ( all stores are closed on Saturday in Tiberias). It would be nice if they had free coffee in the room, like most hotels, but they don't. The breakfast was fine but crowded and noisy. The hotel is used as tour group hotel so it is always crowded. The hotel is about 15m walk or $5 cab ride from the water. Though some reviews say there is nothing in the area, there are a number of restaurants and a great bakery 24/6 attached to the hotel ( cookies $7.50/kg- good deal). Tiberias is not a great city, it is a launching area, it does have great falafel and the beach but if you can't afford the more luxurious hotels do not stay there and do not stay at the Prima Galil unless you can live with overpriced rooms with substandard quality. I don't even know where to start. The hotel offers almost no parking, dirty, worn out rooms, horrible breakfast and non-existant WiFi in there air conditioning-less lounge. I will never, ever stay here again. I have stayed at the Prima property in Jerusalem which was great. Hard to believe this place has any connection to the rest of the hotel chain. The […] only good part of the hotel was the night manager. I felt bad for him as he tried to smooth things out. Lisateave

parking turned out to be ok for some reason. found spot right in front of entrance. nice rooms and good breakfast. a few restaurants just down the street. good size rooms to fit two kids.

The hotel was nice and quaint, but it wasn't great. There was a parking lot with 5 spots for the entire hotel and there was no luggage cart. That made moving in and out of the hotel very difficult. The room was very nice, but it was tiny. It had a bed and a chair, but couldn't accomodate any more furniture. There was no remote for the TV. Even though […] it had cable, there were about 5 channels to watch. The bathroom was just redone and beautiful, but small and did not have a tub, just a shower. There was construction going on which put one of the elevators out of order when we were moving in and was a general inconvenience (noisy). On the plus side, the staff was nice and helpful, the breakfast was lovely - Israeli style, with lots of salads, etc. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but for people travelling with children and lots of luggage, this place is not ideal. ガリラヤ湖の近くが空いておらず、このホテルに決めましたが、逆に少し高台からガリラヤ湖や周辺の山々が見渡せ、素晴らしい眺望でした。 金額的にも手頃な上に、朝食も種類が豊富で美味しく、スタッフもフレンドリーで好感がもてます。 ほぼ全てにおいて満足です。 唯一残念だったのは、エレベーターが階ごとに交互にあり、構造的には面白い作りではありますが、どこの階に行くにも5～6段の階段があり、車いすの方や足の悪い方、また大きな荷物を運ぶ際には使いづらいかなと感じた点です。 玄関にはスロープがあるのに残念でした。 両親との2家族での旅行でしたが、両親の部屋は最上階のお部屋を提供して下さり、ベランダ付きの素晴らしい眺望を楽しんでました。 両親も、こんどのイスラエル旅行中、一番良かったホテルと申しております（金額 […] 的には一番安かったのにですよ！）。 次回、ティベリアに行くことがあれば、またお世話になりたいです！ Lisateave

Cet hotel est en réalité moins bien que les photos visibles sur internet, un peu vieillot... Mais pas cher du tout, parfait pour une escale (pour y passer 1 nuit), salle de bain correcte.

Ligeer lidt langt fra centrum, svært at finde da hottelts navn er ikke synlig. Fin service og venlig betjening
