Southernmost on the Beach Hotel - Key West

Best stay ever we always go to Clearwater but Key West has won us over. We will be back, Clearwater just lost a long time customer.

From check-in I knew I had chosen the correct hotel for my 4 night stay. We arrived around 12:30 and the room would not be ready until check-in at 4. But that was not an issue, we were guided to changing rooms to get more comfortable and cleaned up. Our baggage was then kindly stored for safely by the concierge. We gave our cell number to the front […] desk just in case our room became available earlier. We were then called and into our room by 2:45. The room was modern, contemporary and clean. We faced the pool and beach area but the room was still quiet. The bed was fantastic with a soft headboard which most modern hotels have not yet grasped. The TV had Dish Network which was nice in downtime. The staff were very friendly and willing to help at any moment. The only member that was rather rude was amazingly Jewls the concierge lady. She was stuck up and I even saw her being rude to a coworker. That was the only minor issue in 4 lovely days. All the food at the restaurant was good, the drinks were cold and the beach was lovely with complimentary chairs and towels. They even brought around chilled towels and frozen fruit treats to the guests, a lovely touch. I'm glad we chose this hotel because it was at the quiet end of Duval. It was a slice of tranquility and relaxation. This will be the only hotel we use in Key West and after our first visit we will be back! Lisateave

The Southernmost Hotel Collection was amazing! We loved the location, on the opposite end of Duvall St from all the craziness, but still within walking distance from the action. The room and amenities were all top notch. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and truly wanted to make sure we had the best time! Convenient, clean, and the service in all areas of the resort was great. They got us in our room by 1pm. Allowed for extended stay till 1pm on check out day. Clean pool areas, there were 3, clean public restrooms, great service. Great beachside restaurant, service, food selection and quality was great. Everything was in walking distance. Sits in old […] town at the quiet end of Duval. Grocery store nearby. Cart, bike and moped rentals nearby if you want to travel that way. Places to relax if you wanted quiet, places to sunbathe on a pier or to watch the sunset. This is the place to stay. Lisateave

Great Location, Beautiful resort, the pictures do this place NO justice! It is much nicer and bigger than I anticipated based off the photos. Cafe has great food, has a couple sandy beaches, which you do not see much of in Key West. All the staff was over the top accommodating and nice! We will return to SMONB!

We stayed here in February of 2013. This was our first trip to Key West and we loved it. The hotel was perfect. You have the quiet side of Duval Street very close. The beach, pool, and tanning pier were great. We especially loved the live music on the lawn every evening while watching the sunset. Love the hotel. Only con is no privacy on balcony and in room. There are no deviders between balconies and you can see rite in to your neighbors room and they can see into yours. Not good on your honeymoon!

This is a nice hotel away from the noisy bars of Duval Street. It does attract a slightly older crowd but means it's pretty quiet.

This was a wonderful trip made by the excellent accommodations, superb location, great food at reasonable prices, and friendliness of the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Key West and will definitely stay here again!!! Everything was top notch!!

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was one of the recently updated rooms which was very nice. Servers and bartender (Ronnie) were attentive and pleasant. The employees were friendly except the person who check us out-I asked about their property across the street. She rudely said, "Go the the internet." I asked her if she had a brochere of all their properties and she handed me on not so nicely. Beside this women, all others were friendly and helpful.

very nice place to stay. absolutely no negatives that we saw. clean and modern. we loved the hotel and would surely stay there again and recommend it fully. not sure why the hotel didn't offer the option to NOT change the sheets. changing sheets everyday is just a waste of resources. the maids always took away barely used soap and shampoo that was still […] mostly full....another waste of resources. these are of course nothing against the hotel whatsoever...just a suggestion to the hotel if they read these. Very helpful and friendly staff. Concierge offered us advice on where to dine, etc, as well as giving us coupons and offers that we could use. Rooms were very well kept and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer to experience the pool and poolside bar. Location is very peaceful and away from all of the noise. There is a private beach and a […] public beach at your footsteps. Did have to take a taxi a couple of times to get back and forth to bars, etc. No more than a 6-8 dollar fare each time. Front desk let us check out an hour later than normal at no extra cost. Absolutely loved this hotel!!! My husband and I were there celebrating our 20th anniversary and we had a room right on the beach. Our deck looked out over the beach and the sunset every night. Great happy hours at the bar.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our vacation in Key West and loved the hotel. Great location, amenities and service! We had a room with a partial view of the ocean and it was the perfect place to relax. They have 3 pools, 2 bars, a cafe that is excellent, a spa, gym all right on the south end of Duval street. A magnificent view of the ocean with beach […] chairs and hammocks included. Its pretty quiet too as it is close to the south end of Duval street away from the bustle. the hotel is lovely, clean and situated right at the heart of keywest. Free parking is a god send down there because there really is no where to park, he beach cafe serves up some great grub too.

I am a clean freak so i was satisfied with how nice and clean the room was. No loud noise outside from duval which was nice. the room was very modern and staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint would be bed wasnt as comfortable as I expected. Our room was spacious, the toiletries are lovely and the shower is so big you can party inside. You are 1 minute walk from the start of Duval st, the main […] street in Key West for bars, restaurants, tour buses etc but you are at the peacefull end. Great location on the quiet end of Duval st. Right on the beach and lots of fun activities at the hotel. I even won a hula hoop contest. BOOMER the instructor was great. All staff were wonderful. Food at their cafe was awesome. Drinks were pricey but lots of alcohol were in them

My husband and I stayed here for one night, and wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful grounds, wonderful location, away from all the tourists but close enough to walk everywhere. Cant wait to go back!

Stayed there with my husband for 3 nights. The room was extremely clean, quality bedding etc. Beautiful views from the spacious balcony. Staff was helpful with places to go and great restaurants to visit. Would definately stay there again. We had a wonderful time.

This was a great place to stay and far enough away from the hoopla of Duval St but close enough to walk everywhere! The Beachfront Cafe was a great option if you were going to stay at the resort for the day and have a relaxed day. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner - great food at all times of the day.

This hotel is located within walking distance of all that brings people to Key West, but is situated far enough away from the action of Duval St. that it is still quiet & relaxing. The sunsets were breathtaking from the hammocks on the property. The kids loved the pool. Great getaway location. Quiet end of the Key West Island. Clean and well-run hotel. Lots of on-site activities. The hotel restaurant (on the beach) became one of our favorites. Ocean breezes every morning while we dined. Only drawback might have been the fitness center (small, no AC).

Our stay at The Southernmost on the Beach Hotel was excellent! Upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was modern and clean. The hotel is a block away from Duval Street and located on the "quiet" end, which was very nice. Julie & Bernice at the concierge desk were great. They helped us setup our activities […] with "FURY", a local tour company that offers jet ski tours, daily adventures, snorkeling, and parasailing at reasonable prices. We had great experiences with FURY and went on multiple jet ski tours. The FURY staff was fun to be around and created a great atmosphere. We definitely recommend FURY adventures if you love going fast and being on the water! As far as dining, the Southernmost on the Beach Cafe offers a great menu, reasonable prices, great food and staff right off of the beach. We also recommend Abbondanza - a small Italian restaurant with large portions and fair prices. Also, a dessert bar called "Better than Sex" offers a unique atmosphere and is a must see. Also, Boomer at the hotel offers "Snorkel School" at the hotel. We recommend doing that before going out on a tour with FURY, so that you will feel more comfortable on the water! Lisateave
