Arvustatud Hotels.com kliendi poolt veebr 26, 2013Motell on mugav ses mõttes, et asub FL sadama läheduses (taksoga ca 5.min), rand pole ka eriti kaugel ning kesklinn on ka sobivas kauguses. Antud nimes on küll hotell, kuid tegelikult on tegemist motelliga. Omapäraseks teeb see, et antud piirkonnas on suhteliselt vähe välisbasseiniga motelle, meil oli see olemas. Sobib neile, kes ei aja taga supermugavust, vaid pigem kodusust. Natuke ligadi-logadi, kuid peremees Jorge on väga tore, muhe ja abivalmis vanahärra, kellega annab rääkida kohalikust elust-olust. Tubade puhtus oli väga hea, mööbel oli küll natuke logisev, see-eest voodi oli nii suur (mugav ja puhas), et andis teineteist taga ajada. Hommikusöök oli pigem askeetlik, see-eest müslide- helveste valik mitmekülgne (u.12 erinevat), alati olid värsked puuviljad ja kohvi oli maitsev. Kuna meie esimene hommikusöök langes Valentinipäevale, siis oli peremees toonud värskeid maasikaid ja ka erinevaid südamekujulisi maiustusi. Nii et kes tahab päev - paar peatuspaika (eriti enne kruiisi), siis soovitame neile, kes ei aja taga erilist luksust. Ja hinna ning kvaliteedi suhe on väga hea.

"Couldn't sleep."
Unfortunately, both rooms that we booked stayed up all night either listening to other talk on the phone, or walk about us, or heard the main air conditioning units and people talking around the unit at all hours. This is a great boutique hotel hidden near the Bal Harbor shops. The staff is excellent with lots of suggestions for planning your day. Check-in was easy and they catered to our requests. The room is very nicely furnished and comfortable. You can even make free phone calls using their VOIP. Breakfast was good with muffins, danishes, bread and bagels. […] The coffee machine is great (self serve). They also have free use of chairs and umbrellas if you ask. Be sure to check out the Bal Harbor shops and restaurants. "Good alternative to South Beach"
We stayed here the night after a cruise and when comparing to other "boutique" hotels in the area and in South Beach I think you get a lot of bang for your buck. Generally speaking I am not a fan of the whole boutique hotel phenomenon going on in Miami and have paid huge money for "4 star" hotels in South Beach that would be considered nothing more […] than a dirty 2-3 star motel in other areas of the country. So this time we thought we would try something new and I think we got a better place to stay for half the price of staying in South Beach. If you do not mind walking a few blocks to the beach and not being right in the middle of the South Beach action this hotel is a very good bet. Some things in particular we liked were: Very comfortable beds, walking distance to restaurants and Bal Harbor shops, short drive to Aventura mall, better than expected free continental breakfast, helpful and pleasant staff. "Not as up to date as the photos indicate."
It was OK, not great, not horrible. The carpets need to be cleaned badly. In the photos it appears to be a very modern hotel, when in fact it is a very old building that was refurbished... perhaps some time ago. Things need to be repainted or touched up. Breakfast was simple but restocked often. Lady who took care of restocking breakfast items and assisting […] guests was very pleasant. The only negative issue is that due to the age of the hotel if you are staying downstairs then you will hear everything going on in the room upstairs. We will come back and we will make sure we have an upstairs room. Very unique hotel and sometimes you need to put up with minor inconveniences if you don't want to stay at a boring "chain hotel". One of the ultimate Boutique style hotels in Miami. It is tucked away, yet easy to find. Nice pleasing foyer/welcome area, comfortable seating and guests were enjoying themselves. I arrived on a Thursday evening; they had a complementary wine night. Rooms are clean, well decorated, high end fixtures and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff were […] pleasant and welcoming. Hotel is located next door to the Palms restaurant so you can walk next door for a great dinner or glass of wine (or sit on the front foyer and watch all of the bentleys drive up). "Big Disappointment"
I found Daddy 'O Hotel on Hotels.com and stayed based upon reviews from previous guests and the Excellent ration on Hotels.com's site. This hotel was far from Excellent. First it says a short drive to South Beach it was actually 20 minutes due to traffic It said short walk to beach. It is a 15 minute walk to the beach. Now we go inside. The pictures […] on their site have been enhanced (as are most but in my opinion it was a gross over representation). The building and especially the halls smelled like sewage. When I complained the Assoc GM first said our maintenance guy is working on it and then she said hey our city is built on trash. WTH? The bedroom carpet was so nasty we didn't want to take off our shoes but hey the bathroom was clean. The website said they have a bar well okay if you call a built in cooler behind the check-in counter a bar but hey they will deliver it to your room. They offered us Cappuccino but when we got there the machine was broke. No wonder the rooms were dirt cheap compared to the other hotels on Bal Harbour. We spent our 1st day searching for another hotel. We were stuck there the 1st night but the next day we moved to Eden Rock (in South Beach) and what a HUGE difference. I guess due to my extensive business travel I know what an excellent hotel should be and Daddy O is not it. LisateaveKontrollitud Hotels.com kliendiarvustus

"Great spot, great people"
I loved the property and the style of it. Nice attentive staff with an intimate overtone. Right next to the Palm Steakhouse, one of my favorites. It's in a private upscale area in Bal Harbour and not on the strip of all the hotels and chaos. If you need all the action, this is not the place for you.Kontrollitud Hotels.com kliendiarvustus

"Our stay"

Pretty decent hotel. It had its fair share of amenities. Free wifi and international calling to certain countries. The coffee machine made good lattes. Continental breakfast was ok, could be alot better, they should get a waffle machine. Thought the front desk room combined with a bar/lounge was kind of strange. The rooms were quite nice and comfortable. […] The hotel also lends out beach chairs and umbrellas which is cool. Think we paid way too much for the hotel though, but that was because of the time of year, Dec 31st to Jan 4. The location of the hotel is good, close to Miami beach and Bay harbor shops. "Cosy stay"

When I first got there, parking was easy, front desk was friendly and helpful, and the room was nice and comfy. There are bottles water in my room, and also two small bottle of wines with proper glasses. And the GM wrote me a card to welcome me. What a personal touch add to my stay! The next day, after we checked out already, the GM found out that my […] sister and I was heading down to the beach. He offered two beach towel to us, and suggested we leave the car in hotel parking lot. After we back from the beach, the receptionist gave us nice suggestions for shopping and lunch places! "Great boutique hotel as pied a terre"
As I was visiting with residents of condos nearby that were on the beach, this boutique hotel exactly met my needs: a comfortable, clean pleasant place to stay close in location to Bal Harbour beach where i could overnight with comfort and get a start on my day. Great price / value Friendly helpful service at the front desk (dinner recommendations, […] etc). Don't expect any views as some rooms look over air conditioning units, etc. Great restaurants around the corner on Kane concourse.
