"Lack of the Four C's"
Simple put the Staff and Mgt would do much better if they applied the Four C's. Common Sense, Common Courtesy, Communication. Ask for four hand cloths and get four hand towels. Have issues with the door and lock and deal with three stooges of the chain of command. Many times the staff was clueless with issues that had occurred on the previous shift. […] We went from having a door that took a body shove to open to the lock not working to the door never being fixed for the issue we had to start with. I as a guest had to go above and beyond to inform each shift of the issue. I as a guest should report something once then let the staff take care of it. I should have been paid for doing their job. The place has folks living on the 4th floor and seemed more worried about those who lived there and larger groups rather than the weary traveler. It was bad enough having to be there for a funeral but have to step and fetch because the mgt and staff were clueless made a horrible situation even worse. Lisateave
"Expensive cheapness in Oconomonoc"
This hotel has a nice exterior and likely once was a grand hotel; now it has cheap towels, needs extensive interior maintenance and has the feel of a budget hotel in the room at an eye-popping price, even on a group rate. Not a place I'd want to spend an extended stay and certainly no luxury.

"Olympia Resort - don't resort to staying here"
The resort needs major work, and it baffles me that they stay full! The sheets were thread bare and didn't stay on the bed; my feet stuck to the kelly green carpeting as I walked across the floor; the grout in the tub/shower was disgusting and the shower head nothing to write home about. Our balcony definitely needed some new stucco and paint. All in […] all, not very impressed. I haven't stayed there for 5 years, and I don't think they have done anything to maintain the place since then. Lisateave

"What happened to customer service?"
After our 5.5 hour drive, we arrived at the hotel at 1:30 PM. We were told that our room was not ready and that check-in time was not until 3:00 PM. I explained that we were there to go to the baseball game that evening, so we had some time limitations. I was told to try back in an hour. We left and went to lunch, killed time and returned to check in […] at 3:00 PM. I was told that our room was still not ready. I explained (to the same people) that we were going to the game and needed to change before the game. Finally, after asking to speak to the manager (who was also involved in our 1:30 visit), a room switch was done. This is what I would have expected at 1:30 PM. The manager provided free brunch tickets for us, but it really didn't make up for the inconvenience. Aren't hotels still a hospitality business? The hotel was old, although some cosmetic updates were done. The shower head was a 20 year old shower massage head that did not function. The drapes were 6 inches from the window and wall, so it was very light from the crack of dawn. The walls and door were paper thin. The room was clean. Lisateave

Beautiful facility but poorly maintained. I especially disliked the sheets that were pilled. Not good.
"Needs improvement"
Years ago I remember staying at this hotel in complete luxury, from the plushest towels to down comforters. This time everything was in disaray and cheap. Sheets were even on the bed inside out. Spa was so hard to find we did not even get to use the services. Very disappointed.

"Needs complete remodeling"
The inside and outside of the hotel are totally deteriorating. Pealing wall paper and rust stains are common. The hotel has not obviously recieved any improvements lately if ever. The outdoor pool with bar/food was just fine however. The indoor pool water was cloudy with a faint odor.
