Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport West - Davie

Was very impressed with cleanliness & decor. It appeared to have been renovated,felt like a new hotel. The elevator was a bit slow but the staff's upbeat & friendly attitude made up for the oversight. I did miss not having a safe in the room and my over all rating would have been a 5.

This is the best Holiday Inn I have stayed at yet. The rooms was big and clean!!! Location was great to the airport. I will stay there again. A+++

We had a wedding to attend in Hallandale Beach so I went on hotel.com to find a hotel close enough. It was just for two nights so I didn't need a five star hotel,but everything was up to my expectations. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, I could not believe that they would have had such a wide variety of food to to choose from. Very clean, very convenient to port and has transportation to the port. King bed was very comfortable but the pull out sofa wasn't for my teenager . The free breakfast was great!

The hotel was overbooked, we did not get the suite I booked. I saw at least 4 other highly frustrated customers due to the same issue, with no logical explanation. The staff was fabulous and went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel iteself was clean, but not in great shape. The shower had been patched poorly, and there was no switch to turn on the fan in the bathroom. Do not go to the Waffle House next door, it is filthy and disgusting.

We had stayed here two or three years ago under different mangement. The hotel has improved overall since then. The interior spaces have been upgraded, carpets are in good shape etc. Service (airport shuttle, front desk etc) were very good. Prices have gone up and are now high for a mid-tier hotel. We stayed at this Holiday Inn for 2 separate nights on our vacation in Florida. The room was ok. The hotel is old and hasn't been renovated in a while (or just feels like it). We booked a room for 4 people (a pull out couch) and had a lot of trouble getting the second set of bedding for the couch. Both times it wasn't in the room. After requesting it […] over the phone, it took 1.5 hr (late in the evening) and a trip to the concierge to receive it. hey put in a first floor room where I had the luxury of hearing the outside door open and close all night. Then in the morning I could hear everyone else having breakfast. Lucky me. My only disappoint me was the lack of shuttle services to other places. In addition to not being able to use the airport service provided by the hotel because our flight was at 7:15am and the shuttle service to the airport didn't start till 6:00-6:30am. The shuttle did not make any exception for an early shuttle. Therefore, we either had to pay for […] taxi service or rent a car. It was cheaper to rent a car but a little bit of a hassle because we had to use the shuttle service provided by the hotel to take us to the airport to pick up a car. At least we were able to use the shuttle service for something. Just disappoint that the hotel did not assist us more with shuttle service. Our room was great, and the staff were amazing, except we witnessed a huge argument between several employees one morning right outside our room while we were trying to sleep. The hotel was fine, just as expected at a Holiday Inn Express. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Only complaint was that the elevator was very slow, so we took the stairs unless we had luggage.

The hotel was generally nice and the staff was great. They were friendly and helpful, even when it was very busy. Overall everything was fine. I did not want to use the pool, but it was small and had lots of leaves and other debris in it. There is nothing nearby, so it was difficult for me as I did not have a car. Comfortable accomodations with breakfast included. All rooms have suite feel to them with separate living area. Overall hotel is nice, clean and good location. Staff is very polite and helpful. Some trouble entering and exiting due to roads and very slow elevator, but otherwise a good choice for accessibility to highways.

Our reservation was not in the hotels system, so my late night check in took 35-40 minutes standing at the desk. (Far from ideal) Our room had damp carpets and a smell. There were no sheet for the pullout couch bed. Staff were very pleasant.

The first room they gave us was so damp and musty that even the paper they gave us wnen we first signed in got damp just sitting in the room. The musty smell was too much so we requested a new room. The staff was very courteous and helpful and moved us. The new room wasn't as bad but still had a musty odor. The breakfast bar looked pretty nice.

My stay was ok...for the price but then the nightmare started after I checked out. I left my toiletries inside the room including 3 perfumes I purchased at the duty free for a total of about $400. I called as soon as I got to my home country and after three phone calls they finally agreed to send my packaged, of course I paid for it with my credit […] card. The package never arrived!!! I have now called over 17 times, have written over 12 emails, and they are basically saying: "oh well, is out of our hands...we sent the package...and now is lost...we didn't do it with tracking # and we have no way to track it. Sorry!" How would you call this? I call it irresponsibility, lack of customer service, lack of respect, lack of business common sense. I had stayed at Holiday Inns for decades all over the US and I'm 100% positive that this was my last stay at any Holiday Inn anywhere. You know when a business is good when a problem arises and based on my experience I would not only no recommend staying at this hotel. I WISH TO WARN YOU!!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! If you have any kind of problem you will suffer as much as I have or even worse!!! Lisateave

The staff was very nice and accomdating, but the hotel could have been cleaner. My bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned. There was hair all on the inside of the bath tub and the toilet seat was up with urine in it. I was exhausted from traveling when I checked in and I only stayed for one night so I didn't feel like bothering to change rooms. […] The staff was very nice and accommodating so I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't been so lazy. Honestly, you get what you pay for. For a one night stay the hotel is great, but I wouldn't recommend it for a family vacation. Our stay was fine. Our plane got in late 11:30 PM so the location of the hotel was important to us. Didn't use the room or facilities for nothing but sleeping. A simple place to stay over night.
