Hotel Villa Edera - Venezia

Had great fun getting to and from this hotel on the water buses! A good spot to stay, and nice to cross the water after visiting Venice. The hotel reception staff were 'ok'...the decor is like something out of the 30's, great if you're into that kinda thing! We upgraded to a room with a balcony, which I'd recommend as the room wasn't exactly spacious. […] I'd also recommend the local supermarket which was selling Prosecco at a quarter of the price of anywhere else! ;) Close enough to the beach too and the surrounding area/houses are very nice. Hotel internet didn't work though which was a bit annoying but not exactly the end of the world. Pretty good place to stay. Lisateave

Very satisfied with this hotel - eat as much as you like breakfast and very clean. Surrounding area quiet at night enabled a good night sleep. The vaparetti ran 24hrs over to St Marks square which only took 10 minutes. Would recommend you buy a pass to save money. Clean, bright, pleasant hotel rooms. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good, service excellent. Good neighborhood, quiet and secure. Highly recommend.

If you're looking to get away from the crowds that surround St. Mark's square, then this hotel is a great option. It's located just one short block off of the main street on Lido. 10 - 12 minute walk max from the boat dock. A 5 minute walk to the public beaches. The breakfast was typical: meats, cheeses, toast, crossiants, cereal, yogurt and some fresh fruit and juices. Also, there are some cute bars and cafes located close to the hotel and they won't cost you an arm and leg to eat at them. We liked the breakfast that included pastries, hard boiled eggs, fruits and sometimes shaved meats or cheeses, plus cute carafes of coffee and milk brought to your table. You can eat outside it nice courtyard or inside too. Staff was helpful and multilingual. Hall lights are on motion sensors and room lights operate with you room key...nice efforts […] to promote energy saving. Rooms are small and so is shower; if you are heavy or tall, you may want to look for somewhere roomier. i am 5'4" and 140 lbs and dropped soap in the shower was hard to retrieve because it was tiny in there and i hit my head on about everything in the bathroom too. but everything was clean, comfy and VERY QUIET as Lido is for italian vacationers. The bus fare to San Marco, Murano etc was 6.5 euros each way, so if your main objective is to be on San Marco, you may want a place on that island in one of the northern neighborhoods. However Villa Edera does arrange transportation to Murano with a sales agent from one of the glass factories. The sales agent will also get you a ride back, but their job is to get you to the factory and get you to buy their stuff. They don't really want you to get out on the rest of Murano to other shops, so that is a slightly sticky situation if you were excited for the free ride there and back but also wanted to look around. The hotel is in a vacation area, so close to gelato shops and plenty of places that will sell you generic spaghetti experiences...bypass this and head to the beach and spot the El Pecador sandwich shop playing music next to the Planetarium park...GREAT FOOD, CHEAP AND DELICIOUS!!! Locals go there and we ate there 5 times in 3 days and had some items bagged up for our flight home. That place is the best reason to stay at Villa Edera on the Lido. Lisateave

Alt fint undtagen daarlig internetforbindelse (wi-fi). Everything o.k. except a very bad wi-fi. Impossible to use in the room.

We stayed 2 nigths in a 3 persons room with balcony. the price was very good and the only backdeal of staying in Lido is the fact that you have to pay for the public transport to go to the central venice. On the other hand you have the beach which you can use during the morning and walk the city in the afternoons. The breakfast was good and the overall […] price was fair. As a general comment that I have also made to several other hotels where I have stayed: it would be good to extend the spectrum of langauges that are spoken in the hotels in order to provide to non-english guests a more pleasant stay. Das DZ (Nr33) war sehr klein, für einige Tage ok Frühstück Mittelmass Für preisbewusste Kurzaufenthalter insgesamt in Ordnung

Morgens einen Kaffee am Lido, anschliessend nach Venedig und bei der Hinfahrt erst noch Blick auf den Markusplatz. Das Hotel selber ist unkompliziert, ruhig gelegen und umgeben von kleinen Restaurants und Bars, falls einem nicht nach Touristenrummel zu Mute ist. Gerne wieder.

Hotellet var underhållsmässigt i bra skick, men rummet och badrummet var väldigt litet. Frukost var ok men väldigt begränsat. Lungt läge.

L'hôtel est un peu vieillot et les chambres un peu petite mais pour un court séjour, ca fait largement l'affaire. Très bien situé seulement à 5 min à pied de la station de waterbus qui vous emmeène à Venise, et le quartier le soir est assez vivant avec des restaurants et café et un supermarché à proximité. Perfecta limpieza, cómodo, personal muy amable, muy buen desayuno. Internet muy costoso.
