TOP Kensington Gardens Hotel London - London

Its a small hotell, with no reseption after 18.00. Use reception in neighbour hotel. First impression was that room was unclean, specially in the closet. And the bed was som dirt marks on. But bath was very good, and good service from the staff. You get good value for the price paid. The area of the hotel is brilliant, near the park and the tube.

My sister and I looked for a good but reasonably priced hotel in London for a week. We came across this almost perfect jewel. The staff was excellent, as was the location. The hotel was ok in terms of bare necessities. But there were some annoying things. You need to return your key each time at the front desk and this hotel shares its front desk with another hotel nearby. There is no wifi signal inside this hotel and each time you need to use the internet you need to go to the next door hotel. This hotel would have received a 5 rating if it were not for the paper thin walls. I was woken up by my neighbor's snoring on 2 different night. Great place but difficult to sleep at night. Bring ear plugs!

Good location near city downtown and underground station No 24 hours desk, you have to share front desk with Pheonix hotel, which is next to hotel. Small room Squeaking wooden floor In conclusion, worst hotel that I have ever experienced.

Overall the stay was good. The location s perfect and the staff maintain the hotel alright. My only issue was cleaning time was at 8:00am when I was trying to sleep. The hotel has old woden floors which screek so note that if you're sensitive to noise. Overall. stay was good very price worthy. I would consider returning.

Probably the most creaky room in the world, the people in the room above woke us with their creaky floorboards, and I bet we woke up those below. Cheap, functional, practical. Good location, convenient for Hyde Park.

The staff was excellent , but the hotel was poor in every category. It was the worst accomodations I have ever stayed in.

Arrived early in the morning after 23 hour flight. The hotel was full and check in was not until the afternoon. Lady on reception was so helpful suggesting that we freshen up in the staff facilities and then to wait in one of the local cafes for a room to come available while she stored our luggage. She recommended a number of excellent places and […] walks. On returning she was able to offer a room with a wonderful view over the Park. The hotel was perfect for us, relatively cheap, great environment with truly excellent organic food options nearby, close to the Tube in an attractive part of the city. Lisateave

A very pleasant reception on arrival. Room small but clean, mattress on bed very uncomfortable - felt old & if the springs were going to come through. Bathroom clean. Fit for purpose

Cons: evening reception is next door. Own shower+sink but shared toilet. No lift. Pros: really nice decor (corridors+ entrance) room all right. Very clean room/ shower/ common areas Location very convenient. Quiet street but just round the corner from tube: bayswater. Staff very polite and helpful.

Really good for the price -- you'll be paying well over £100 at most places in London. I thought it would be annoying to have to pick up my key from next door, but it wasn't that bad. I didn't mind that the room was small -- you don't need it when you're staying alone. Room has a shower and sink, and a toilet is outside. Has everything you need.

Hotel was comfortable and clean, everything you'd expect and we were even pleased to find a mini fridge for us which came in very handy for chilling water on such a hot day. The only complaints I have is that our TV didn't work very well and it was very hot inside the room, even with the windows fully open. Air conditioning wouldn't go amiss. Man får vad man betalar för i London men det här hotellet var över förväntningarna för det låga priset. Pyttesmå rum, men rent, eget bad/wc och en jätterar tant i receptionen. Vi kom tidigt på dagen men de städade snabbt vårt rum så vi fick det efter 10 min. Prisvärd frukost på deras systerhotell brevid samt perfekt läge. Kan absolut bo där igen.

Jag och min partner är väldigt nöjda med med hotellet, mysiga rum, små men de behövs inte mer när man bara skall sova där efter en hel dags shopping. De ända som egentligen var dåligt vara att vatten ledningarna i badrummet, vattnet rann långsamt och de var svårt att justera så de blev bra temperatur. God frukost buffe på hotellet bredvid. Kvinnan i […] receptionen på hotellet var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam man märkte verkligen att hon trivdes med sitt jobb och av god service, bokade taxi och tipsade och matställen. Läget på hotellet var superbra! lungt man stördes inte av ljud från gatan och de var mycket när till T-banan. I närområdet finns flera mataffärer och restauranger med mat från olika kulturer även en del snabbmatsresturanger. Vi som gillar att promenera tog oss en promenad till oxfordstreet längs med Hyde Park de tog inte längre än 20 minuter. Ett hotell jag absolut kommer att rekommendera och boka igen när jag åker till London Lisateave

Meget lille hotel uden egen restaurant - morgenmad på nabohotellet. Pænt beliggende. Enkeltværelse er meget lille, dog med eget bad og toilet.

Et udmærket 3* hotel. Lidt slidt, men med en høflig og villig betjening. Ligger i gåafstand af subway til to linjer. Godt nabokvarter med mange forskellige etniske restauranter. Under en ½ times transport med bus eller subway til City. 3 kvarters gang gennem Kensington Garden og Hyde Park til Buckingham Palace og Parliament.

Siisti, mukava pieni hotelli sivukadun varrella Notting Hillissä. Lyhyt matka metroasemalle. Runsaasti kauppoja ja ravintoloita lähistöllä

On a business trip I stayed 3 nights at the hotel which was a pleasent experience. Very nice and helpful reception and the hotel was clean. No street noice and only a few minets walk from the nearest underground station. (Central line - directly from Liverpool Street) No breakfast at the hotel, however you could have continental breakfast at the hotel […] next door. The breakfast there is highly recommendable. The rooms are ok with bath, but the toilets are on the floor. These were however clean and nice. The biggest disadvantage of this hotels is the lack of a lift, which makes it totally unsuitable for diabled and elderly people. But for single travellers like me its perfect! Lisateave

Das Hotel befindet sich in guter Lage zu den U-Bahn- und Bus-Stationen. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und das Angebot an Gastronomie sind ebenfalls mehr als ausreichend. Als nahe Ausflugsziele bieten sich Kensington Palace (wird bis 2012 derzeit umgebaut) und Hyde Park an. Läufer sollten ihre Laufschuhe unbedingt einpacken, sehr schöne Strecken möglich. Das […] Haus macht von außen einen guten Eindruck (Victorianischer Baustil). Die Rezeption ist zwischen 18 und 8 Uhr nicht besetzt, sondern befindet sich im Nachbarhotel Phönix. Das Einzelzimmer war sehr klein. Auf dem Zimmer gibt es einen Wasserkocher mit Instantkaffee und Teebeuteln. Zimmer hatte Dusche aber kein WC. Das WC befand sich auf dem Flur. Mitarbeiterin des Hotels war im Gegensatz zu Personal des Nachbarhotels Phönix sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In dem Hotel fehlt es neben einem Fahrstuhl vor allem an einer Schallisolierung. Die Türen knallen, man versteht jedes Wort aus den Nachbarräumen. Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, sollte unbedingt Ohrstöpsel einpacken. Wer zu spät zum Frühstück kommt, sollte lange Wartezeiten einplanen. Lisateave

Hotellet lå skønt midt i byen, med gå afstend til mange ting. Sengen var dog meget slidt, så man kunne høre fjedrene ignenem når man vendte sig. Men ellers et super dejligt sted, og selv om der ikke står det i beskrivelsen, var da gratis wifi så det var rigtig dejligt.

Fantastisk service. Utrolig flot hotel til prisen. Tidligere hoteller jeg har boet på til sammen pris har slet ikke vist samme niveau i forhold service. Desuden var der gratis internet på værelset, hvilket gjorde oplevelsen endnu bedre. Ville helt klart anbefale det til andre.

J'ai un bon souvenir de cet hotel l'accueille etait très simple et pro, avec le sourire en plus. J’ai trouvé l’hôtel propre et bien tenu. Il n’y avait pas beaucoup de monde en cette période de l’année donc c’était très calme. Le +: Proche d’un zone commercial, restaurant, magasin, transport. Enl förväntan var hotellet inget märkvärdigt. Rent. En plats att sova helt enkelt. Hotellets läge är dock förträffligt! Gångavstånd till t-bana Queensway på Central line. Sängen var förskräcklig med trasig resårmadrass.

Ottima la stanza, molto spaziosa, così come l'annesso bagno. Gentilissima la signora(di origine iraninana) alla reception. Ett prisvärt hotell med ett suveränt läge. Sängen lämnade en del övrigt att önska men ett OK rum. Rätt lyhört från övervåningens knarrande golv, men det var inga problem. Frukost på grannhotellet var också helt prisvärd.

It was everything I expected and the staff was kind and helpful. It is the same family that runs the hotel next door which also offers continental breakfust for £5 (July 09). Πολύ μικρά δωμάτια, καθόλου εξαερισμός, δεν υπάρχει ανελκυστήρας, δεν υπάρχει πρωϊνό, δεν υπάρχει σύνδεση internet, πολύ ζεστό δωμάτιο.
