The hotel and accomodations were nice. Old style atrium style hotel located mid-beach. Positive is great price. Only negative is the hotel restuarant menu is very limited.

Staff was great and very helpful. Rooms are clean. Parking is adjacent. This hotel overall is OK. Neighborhood is very quiet with little to do in the immediate area although its only a very short walk to the boardwalk and beach. Dinner at the hotel was adequate with a limited menu probably due to a small number of users. Price is fair.

Even though it's a little walk to get to the restaurants and shops on 17th Street and to Ocean Drive, it is a great hotel. Friendly helpful staff and hotel is in great shape.

A Hotels.com rep promised me a room with a balcony facing the sea. The hotel does not even face the sea and when I got to the room, it had no balcony. I asked the front desk and the man said there was no notation about me being promised such a room and they were all booked. I blame Hotels.com for this. The room was supposed to have a hair dryer, and […] it did not. Otherwise, the bed was fine, the room clean, the tub clean, etc. The hot tub on the first floor was wonderful, but God help the people staying on the first floor. You would never have gotten a moment's peace in a room down there. Beautiful old place, this hotel, and I do recommend it. The staff is just helpful enough. I didn't try the restaurant, and few others did as well. I never smelled anything coming out of there telling me I needed to go in. A short walk to the beach - no problem. I liked this hotel it was in a good location right across from the beach far from the action though but quiet the only negative was the restaurant it was horrible but there are plenty of other places to eat in south beach. I would definitely stay there again

The hotel is nice - it's not a 4 star, but it's a nice, clean hotel, with an incredibly friendly staff. It's boutique - all the rooms surround a center open area, where the jacuzzi is. The walls are paper thin, but luckily our neighbors didn't have odd hours, so the noise didn't bother us. For the price, this was right for us - we enjoyed a lovely walk […] down to SoBe everyday, and took taxis back to the hotel for about $10. Getting a taxi at the hotel is hard. Parking is across the street in the lot - you just need to pay $10 at 8 am everyday - which gives you 10 hours and then allows you overnight. Not a bad deal! Beach across the street is excellent. The hotel has been remodeled, however being an older style hotel the rooms are not sound proof at all. We could hear the people in the next room no matter what they were doing. A door separated our rooms and this made was a uncomfortable. I will stick with a chain hotel next time.

This was my birthday, and our stay was so disappointing. Hotel front desk staff were on personal phone calls or texting making me wait for assistance. Walls are paper thin, you could hear everything from across the hotel. You can hear people using bathroom, bedroom noises (if you know what I mean), etc... Also, we had maintainence come to the room 3x […] to fix electrical & plumbing issues. Breakfast at $20 a head for less than what you would get at a Super 8 continental breakfast. I would not recomment this hotel to any of my friends, family, or anyone else. Also, I tried to confirm my reservation, but hotel has no working number to be reached. Entire hotel has tile flooring, which adds to the quaint atmosphere, but is incredibly loud! When a late arriving customer dragged his suitcase on wheels past our door at nearly midnight, it sounded like he was walking beside our bed. The rooms are quite small, and the jacuzzi had cold water.

cute hotel; many rooms on the first floor, by the small lobby and front desk and the hot tub with a fountain that is on until 10pm. You will hear the kitchen staff through the thin doors in the mornings, and the fountain in the evenings if it is on. Walking to South Beach takes 15-20min, during the day can take the boardwalk by the beach. Construction south and southeast of the hotel. On final day, noticed a cockroach climbing up a wall in the room, which was gross, but somewhat to be expected for a a room on the first floor. Room is good sized, with sink and mirror in the room itself by the closet in true European style. Front desk is very nice and accommodating. Hotel does charge $12/day resort fee. Can use a beach towel from the hotel pool for the beach across the street; go north/south to rent jetskis, cabanas, or other beach stuff. Unfortunately, no beachfront bar. The hotel is stunning and located a stones throw from a gorgeous beach. It is a short taxi journey from the chaos of Ocean Drive so close enough to get in/out of an evening to eat etc but thankfully away from the noise of the bars/clubs. However, […] our initial delight at the hotel and the quality of our room (with lovely bed and bathrobes) was ruined when we returned to our room after a meal out to discover that we could very clearly hear the snores of the man in the next room which was connected to ours by a door (so could be used by families etc). Unfortunately his snoring was particularly bad so we had very disturbed sleep despite leaving the tv and/or radio on. We were then woken up again when they put their tv on at 6.45am as it came very clearly through the wall/door and we could even hear the squeaks of their taps. Had we (and they) been staying more than one night we would have asked to move but put up with it for the night rather than go through the hassle of re-packing and moving late at night. The buffet breakfast was ok but not really worth $16 - and confusingly the price on the menu in the room was different to the price on the menu in the restaurant. In summary, what could have been a fantastic stay at a lovely hotel was blighted by being unlucky with the room we were given. Lisateave

Me and my husband went on a one night stay. We thought the hotel would be right on the beach but it wasnt. We had to cross the street and walk half a block. Also, the room was a bit small. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Overall I thought the place was very nice. Upon arrival, the small parking lot ($22/night) is on the back end of the hotel. So you have to walk a block to the front of the hotel to check in. There was a lot of hustle and bustle at the desk but the staff informed me that check in was at three; so I had time to kill. At check in I received a voucher for […] a complimentary drink at the bar. Once I got to the room, I was very pleased at the decor and comfort. The only real negative comment I have is that the water in the shower was ICE COLD. Staff said nothing could be done. It may have been 99 degrees in Miami but not hot enough to take cold showers! I didn't spend a whole lot of time in the hotel so other than the cold water issue the stay was fine. I would recommend. Lisateave

The hotel itself is amazing and very conveniently located near the water and everything on south beach. The staff seemed attentive but they ultimately did nothing to resolve my issue with a broken (and very loud) a/c unit in my room. My stay for was two nights.

Overall a very good stay. Good location in Miami, near enough to the South Beach action but far enough away to be quiet. Staff were fine, and Carlos, the bartender was a friendly guy. It's in a quiet area which is fine by me. I know the area and didn't want to stay in south beach. It's a very pleasant walk down the boardwalk though, which I would do on the way there and take a cab back to the hotel. when i called to get more information, i was never told that the jacuzzi was under construction. there was a sign that said it was going to be ready in 2 days but they let us down because it wasnt ready until we had to check out and leave 3 days later. the restaurant is over-priced though they do give you a complimentary drink for you and the wife or […] friend (wine,beer,or juice) it is entirely a beautiful hotel but the service is not.. if you are just looking for a hotel a few steps from the beach then you will be happy. but dont expect more. A beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff right across from the beach away from the hustle and bustle of the trendier parts of SoBe. Close enough for a short ride to the best restaurants and people watching. The walls are indeed thin but not so it bothered our sleep. The cleaning crew makes no effort to work quietly starting at 8:30 with vacuums and walkie talkies echoing outside your door. I'm gonna tell you what's good about this place and what's bad and let you decide. I'll start with the good. It's a cute looking hotel from the outside. There's a decent hot tub downstairs (unfortunately it closes so early we could never get in there). The staff was polite, and there's a "ghost door" that opens and closes on it's on for you each time […] you enter the from door. It's across the street from a much quieter beach if you want to avoid the crowds. Now here's the bad stuff: I reserved my room on expedia and paid extra for a room with 2 queen beds. Our room had 1 queen bed! The place smells like cheap men's cologne for some reason, and the walls are super thin! You can almost hear the neighbors breathing! I'm hardly exaggerating about this, it was really really bad. The biggest problem is that this hotel is nowhere near any of the south beach fun! we had to take a cab every time we wanted to do anything. There are no restaurants or bars anywhere near this place. There are a bunch of sketchy looking abandoned buildings around. It's very close to drive to south beach, but the parking sucks so much and costs about as much as the cab ride. If you're going to south beach I definitely recommend staying at a hotel in the heart of south beach. You can walk right out of the hotel and go to nearby restaurants and bars or have a mojito at your hotel pool bar and walk over to the beach. We did that at a friend's much-closer-to-South-Beach hotel. Lisateave
