I really enjoyed staying at the Hilton Garden Inn at Lake Oswego. We were there to visit family but I got sick the day we got there and essentially spent most of my time close to the room. I did rather enjoy that the employees are very pleasant from the chef, wait staff, front desk and house keeping. They are all very polite, considerate and caring. […] My husband and I went to dinner in the restaurant one night when I wasn't feeling well. We had our dinner and wanted dessert for later so we got the wonderful caramel apple cake. We were of course full from our dinner so took it to our room to enjoy. The restaurant worker put our scoop of ice cream in the freezer for us until we were ready to eat later. We of course agreed we would come back before they were closed but it was great that they helped us keep our ice cream frozen until we were ready. Really was a nice stay away from home even if I was under the weather. Thank you Lisateave

very nice stay as always with the Hilton. We weren't a big fan of the beds, they are similar to the Sleep Number. It's not comfortable if you end up in the spot where the sides divide.

The Hotel was very easy to get too. There are lots of good places to eat nearby and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I even had a billing error occur, and the fixed it immediately, with no fuss, and were very gracious, apologetic and professional about it. Thanks James. Really good hotel, friendly staff, close to retail shopping and restaurants. Easy access to downtown Portland for tourist activities; just far enough out of town to not feel like you are in the city and in a more relaxed atmosphere.

I honestly cannot think of a critical comment. The rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable (self-adjusting), the breakfast options were great, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We will be back in a few months and will definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lake Oswego.

Definitely better than most hotels I've stayed in - especially near this price. A very easy and relaxed experience. Clean, like new room. Free WiFi simple to use. Free "made to order" breakfast was excellent - easy, fast, refreshing. Every staff member seemed to be a happy and thoughtful person. Big LCD TV was much better, sharper, and easier to use […] than my own at home. Also, it was nice to have selection of pillows - some soft and 'more flat', others big and 'more puffy' - my wife and I appreciated the choice. Free parking was convenient. Hilton Garden Inn at Lake Oswego is a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel. This was my second stay, and I found the staff equally pleasant, the rooms clean, and comfortable. Located just a few blocks off I-5, and only a couple of miles from the Washington Square Mall makes the location ideal.

I used to stay here for business years ago and I still wasn't diappointed even though it has been a few years. It's comfortable, the food is good, there is internet access. There was a mix of all ages and no conflicts. All the simple creature comforts needed, including exercise room and pool.

We were only able to get one hot shower out of our room each morning. So we alerted the staff upon checkout and they said they would definitely look at the problem and do what they could for us. The one issue with using an online booking site is that the Hotelm is unable to remedy anything financially. I do expect to get some kind of coupon in the mail […] any day now, however. Everythign else was fantastic. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. ((And their pool, hot tub is open until 11pm, which is the #1 perk we look for in a hotel. So that was excellent!!!) Staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. Hotel was close to mall and restaurants. It was raining and the front desk staff offered us umbrella's to use. Breakfasts were reasonably price and very good. Great service.

The indoor swimming pool was absolutely freezing, literally teeth chattering. I chose the hotel for the indoor pool so my 2 year old and I could swim, relax and wear off energy and kill time after a long day of travel. It was so too cold to even get in.

Perfect location for our stay - easy to find and several restauants within walking distance. Rooms were clean and staff was very helpful. Will stay there again when we return to Portland.

Every staff member was friendly and responsive to our needs. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the A/C worked well, and we loved the pantry where we were able to conveniently purchase snacks at a very reasonable price. We plan to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn regularly when we visit Portland.

I've stayed at the hotel a few times. I love the location of this hotel, it has 5 awesome restaurants within 3 blocks. Starbucks across the street. My only negative is that hot water comes out hot hot right off the bat.

We had a great stay. It was close to Portland, right off the freeway. There were nice restaurants nearby. Note that you do not get breakfast unless you pay extra for it when you book the hotel (this is what we did). If you don't pay ahead then it is $10 per person.

My wife (Karen) and I stayed three days to celebrate our anniversary and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful making suggestion for restaurants, breakfast with them which was good but I prefer free continental breakfast, but they did omelets and eggs, bacon. The handicap was very large and easy to move around. Our only suggestion is that the bed be made firmer, even with the air adjustment, and raised 4-6 inches up. This allows a person with standing problems in getting in and out of the bed.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Lake Oswego was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were beautiful, the location was amazing and the staff was friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed in Portland and Seattle the previous two nights and spent nearly $250 a night for the hotel room and neither of the rooms compared to the one at The Hilton Garden Inn. We also had the […] breakfast buffet which was much better (and cheaper) than the breakfasts we spent $60 on the previous two nights. The small city of Lake Oswego is also very quaint and inviting. The hotel is not ideal for individuals looking to be in the heart of Portland's activities however it is a short, scenic drive form the city. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel near Portland. Lisateave

Rooms seemed to be a little outdated, but still comfortable. Was told on Thursday when I checked in, that I would be able to switch from a King to two Queens on Saturday. When I went to the front desk on Saturday, they told me that it was on available basis only. Would of been nice to be told that upfront so I didn't get my expectations up. I ended […] up having to sleep on a rollaway bed, but at least it was comfortable for an extra $15. As a woman, felt very safe in this location and good shopping malls not too far away. What a lovely area of Portland in lake Oswego! It would have been nice to have had the additional fanciness that was pictured with rose petals on the bed and chilled wine as it was our anniversary and I did identify this in my request. The service was excellent, my room was very quiet and the sheets and pillows soft and comfortable. My only complaint was the guy vacuuming in the hall, in the way of the hall I needed to use to take out my luggage to my car. I did mention it to the clerk, who was apologetic but said he could vacuum after 10 am, and it was after 10 am. Arrived at hotel to find that no "roll away" - even though requested was not available - Was told there was nothing they could do - there were no other rooms available in the area due to a "soccer tournament" - we were told that "someone" would just have to sleep on the floor - what else would they like us to do for them. I suggested some blankets - […] a sheet - etc. - they were only able to provide 3 blankets to "cushion" the floor - The floor was extremely hard and dirty - We were "older" adults and did not appreciate the situation - we will not stay there again nor use hotel.com to book our rooms.
