The Fairmont Royal York - Toronto

Nice place to stay for the discounted price, pictures of room and pool are deceiving. Would have been very disapointed if I had paid regular price. For a 100 year old place it feels clean. Bed was excellent. Lobby is nice and staff are friendly.

My stay at the hotel was great, the people were really nice, located perfectly for my needs, close to the train station and one block away from the convention center, with some nice restaurants in the middle. Great stay, will use this hotel agian in the future!

Nice hotel. However, there must be ongoing road work on Front Street where you access the valet parking of the hotel. Not sure how long this will last but delayed our arrival time as proper direction was not given to pull up to the rear gate...

Very disappointed that they would put me in a construction zone and next to the elevator bank which was very noisy!

Very convienent to all areas of the downtown core and transportation access ready available

It was ok. First night there was a drinking party next door that kept me up all night with one of the persons throwing up very loudly... The person at the font desk the next am tried to make it up to us by buying us breakfast which was nice. Then after housekeeping had left and one of our beds was not made, wet towel on the bed so we requested they […] come back the housekeeper left a note for us to find...not so pleasant. Two women in one room without replenishing shampoo or anything but at that point we were not going to ask for anything. Lisateave

Beside the road construction which made it extremely hard to get to the hotel, which I do realize is out of anyone's control, our stay was excellent!!!thank you!

This my favourite hotel. Great service, ambiance and food. They pay attention to every aspect of your stay.

Fairmont was tremendous. Staff was very attentive and they had quite a few dining options/bars that my wife and i visited. We were traveling with our two youngest daughters. (16 and 8) They had fun as well. WIfe used the workout facilities and kids used the pool. Close by to everything. We will definitely consider the Fairmont for our next stay in  […] Toronto. Small rooms but gogegous lobby and hall ways. Original door and glass door knobs still in use in rooms. Beautiful dining. You feel special just being there.

The location of the hotel is fabulous! Lots of places to see and things to do in the area. The staff at the hotel were great as well. Very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and homey!

I personally stay at least 3 months every year at Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver and I've always been a fan of Fairmont chain. However, this hotel in particular let me down. My room was ready for check in at 5PM, when I had arrived at the hotel around 4. The staff did apologize so theres that. Also, the in the early mornings around 6 and 7, there, […] there were people banging the doors next to my room so loud for at least good half hour that I must say I did not get good night's sleep. Also, the hotel was too crowded which was due to music week according to the staff. Yes, the stay was cheaper than normal Fairmont chain, but I guess I got what I got for what I paid. Lisateave

After making reservation 2 months in advance, we had to wait over 2.5 hours in the lobby with our 2 grandchildren. contacted the cleck several times to request another room as the children were getting tired. After repeat attempt to hurry the room to no avail. This is not accecptable for a Fairmont, they also mention that by using Hotel.com this did […] not garantie what time we would have our room. I will never stay at the Royal York again Lisateave

I booked this room for my son's 19th birthday. He was attending a couple of events in downtown Toronto. He was very excited about the beauty of the hotel and his room. He was treated with great respect even though he was only 19 which was something I was fearful of. The only concern was room not being ready until 4:30pm for check in and the length […] of time for the hold on the room deposit. Was not cleared from Visa even by two days later? Lisateave

Check in was at 3:00pm and we did not get our room until 5:00pm. I was a little disappointed as we drove 4 hours and the kids just wanted to go to the room and rest until the big race. We had to walk around with them until the room was ready.

Great downtown location. Directly across from union station and free transport from city island airport. Easy and inexpensive. Bring your bathing suite . Great indoor pool. Hot tub ,sauna ,steam and exercise also. Very clean ..temperature and chemicals well maintained. Very comfortable bed and good pillows. Staff promptly acknowledged my request […] for allergy decreased room without prompting on check in. This was a good experience . Will come again. Lisateave

We stayed here for music week it was all a buzz with music industry people, we went to a show at QET and found everything right at our fingertips awesome time Cheers Rob

Our room was downgraded twice. Room was freezing. Windows had scaffolding so there was absolutely no view or sunlight. Tiny room, tiny bathroom. Never coming back here again.

We had our travel plans interrupted by bad weather. To make the best of a bad situation staying at the Royal York was a real welcome treat. Thanks

I have only stayed at this Toronto hotel a couple of times but it has always been most enjoyable. The kids and I were hoping to run into the ghost on the the 8th floor but were told he was on March break. Hopefully we will visit him another time. Our stay was a wonderful treat. Thank you.

Great deal but no way to secure parking. Best hotel deal by Air Canada Center until the over priced parking cost was added. Expected some but that was a gouge

Excellent hotel and location.

Old-style charm, wonderful service & a great locale. What more do you need or want?

This hotel is always impressive. It's in a great location to walk to restaurants and sporting events. The only staff we came in contact with was the front desk at check in and out. She was very friendly and took care of my needs.

The Hotel is beautiful! Very clean and we felt very special. The service was great and lots to do in the area. The hotel is connected to the PATH which is a great convenience. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

I used my miles to book this hotel and thought I was "steppin"up but as it turned out hotel was somewhat shabby compared to other hotels in downtown I've stayed at for half the price! Lobby and service was nice but room condition was terrible.Starting to think hotels put me in "old" section because I use discount sights to book.

Great location!! Relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed cocktails in the Library lounge. Wonderful friendly staff---we will be back!!

we live 20 miles away It was our first stay we were so excited about staying at such a historical hotel we ate at the Japenese resturant It was a very fine meal We had such a great time

This hotel was great except that there was NO INTERNET included (of course you could've had internet activated for $15-$30!!) That's just insane in this day and age! Otherwise the hotel was great.

Great location. Across from union station. Several ways to get to the airport. 'Downtown' is all walking distance...underground or outside. Staff was EXCELLENT!
