The check-in and check-out staff are fine, but the overall condition of the hotel has gone down big time! No elevator, so we had to climb the stairs. The tub in the room was very dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time. The lamps in the room did not work, and the mirror in the bathroom had been patched at the corners of the frame. […] We won't stay there again! Lisateave

The room needed some work done on it the floor is missing some tile ,the door has a big crack all around it, the lock broke on the door.There is beer or coke bottle tops next to the wall on the floor.You can tell its a old hotel,but it does need some work done. The man at the front desk was very nice.

They displayed great pictures on the web but everything is too old and wear out, towels look dirty, breakfast is very cheap, the only two good things about this hotel is great location and every room is big enough, if for any reason I will need to return to Henderson, TX for sure I book in a different location.

HOTEL STAFF WAS GOOD. THE HOTEL HALLWAYS SMELLED OF CIGARRET SMOKE THAT CARRIED ONTO MY "NO SMOKING" ROOM. IF THERE IS ONE THING I DETEST IS THE SMELL OF CIGARRET SMOKE. IT JUST PUTS ME OFF ON ANY OF THE GOOD STUFF. THE LADY WORKING THE MORNING BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT, VERY KIND AND ANTENTIVE.

On my second nights stay, I was awakened at ! am by noise of someone trodding back and forth on the floor above me, sounded as if they were very heavy people are were intentionally trying to make noise. I called the front desk to repoet the noise and asked if they could contact the people and ask them to please be a little quietier, the noise subsided […] for only a minute and then seemed to get even louder. This noise went on until 3am or at least that's when I finally fell asleep. I asked the attendant at 6:30am if she had indeed contacted the people and she said that she had and I informed her that the noise got even louder after she had called. At that point she offered me another room and said that I could have switched at 1:30 am if I had wanted. I ask you, who is going to get out of bed at 1:30am and gather all your belongings and move to another room. Lisateave

This hotel has no elevator! Bedspread was filthy and stained and I already killed a spider on it. 2 of the 4 lamps in the room work. Afraid to turn on the AC because it looks mold is growing in and out of it. I slept in the chair, fully clothes, socks and shoes, with a blanket I went and bought at the Wal-Mart down the road. Front desk clerk was rude […] and ignored me. Will never go back!! Lisateave

I have very low standards for a hotel. This was didn't make the cut. Very unkept. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke and the entire hotel smelled like smoke. Virty dirty. Sheets and bed coverings had holes in them.

We asked about a bereavement rate, and the reservation rep ignored the question. We asked again at check-in at the hotel, and again the question was ignored. It was disappointing that the death in our family which was the reason for our trip , apparently meant nothing to these people.
