The Iroquois - New York

We booked a room with two desperate beds for two days. When we checked in, the person at the front desk did not mention anything. And, we I got in the room, the room has only one bed and it was super tiny room. When I called them, they didn't say I'm sorry. They said on our system it seems like you booked a one bed room, and they said they will call […] me back. After 5 minutes, she said there was a problem and they will upgrade our room, which was great for me. Thus, we eventually got a room with separate living room. It was a spacious and pretty room. The only one thing I seriously hated about this hotel is that in the living room, I basically could hear everything happening in the next room. The hotel provides a Bose speaker, and I enjoyed this one. But, after 5 minutes, I had to turn it off because the man staying at the next room said, " oh my god" and they blame me listening music. Also, I could hear what they were taking about when I'm staying in the living room. So, I was wondering what if I stayed at the small tiny room.... Overall, it is a pretty hotel and the maintenance was good. Also, loved Molton brown's amenities. When u book this hotel, I recommend you upper class room. Otherwise, you will have a super tiny room. I wanted to extend my stay one more day, I moved to 5th ave not this hotel Lisateave

Great experience at The Iroquois!!! I read reviews before selecting this hotel and I am here to say that my stay there was just as I read! Beautiful hotel with clean rooms, beautiful bathroom, great location (so, so close to Times Square, 5th Ave shopping, Rockefeller Center, etc.) and a wonderful and helpful staff! if you are in new york and you need a place to stay overnight then this is a great place

Our room was very charming... and very clean. Beautiful little bathroom. Great location.. Walking distance to Times Square, Broadway shows, 5th Avenue shopping and subways. The hotel staff was friendly. We were just doing an overnight and checked out around 10am. The hotel kept our luggage for us until 10pm when we were heading home. You pay additional […] for parking but the lot is right across the street. Nice Coffee and Tea to go shop right across the street. Lisateave

Loved this hotel! Highly recommend it!. It is only a few short blocks to Times Square, but is on a nice and quiet street. At the end of the day it is nice to get away from all the craziness of Times Square - into a totally relaxing, luxurious environment. Staff was very helpful and friendly. VERY reasonably priced. We spent two nights at the Iroquois NYC for a getaway weekend and I would suggest this hotel anytime. Very well located and confortable for a reasonnable price.

Lovely Hotel ,Very close to all tourist spots, Excellent staff,especially the guys on the door, One downfall is that there is no breakfast included in price,but there are plenty of places close by,

Great hotel, wonderful service. Only blemish is the gym, equipment getting old and squeaky.

I stayed here because I had had a fabulous experience the last time I was there. Check-in great. Restaurant great. People nice. However the tap in the bathroom leaked water out the top when I turned it on. By far the worst part of the trip was the fact that they missed not one but two wake-up calls the next morning. I'f I was staying with my girl-friend […] like last time, who'd have cared. BUT, I was taking an early plane to Singapore, and luckily woke up about 40 minutes after my second scheduled Sunday wake-up call--clearly communicated upon return from Friday night's entertainment upon passing the desk. I don't expect that in a 4-star hotel where the language of business is English. I have had other memorable trips before. Time before, I left a credit card in the restaurant, and they held it for me for two weeks while I was away in the Far East. I chalk it up to an off day, in an off-room. Lisateave

Was very pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. The room was good size for New York at this price point and very up to date. Staff were all great and extremely friendly. The location is tremendous and walking distance to everything mid-town. Very happy and will stay there again.

The Iroquois Hotel in New York City is AMAZING!! Very comfortable & clean. Our room was very quiet on the 11th floor. I've stayed in New York before and all I could hear was traffic noise. Very pleased and will stay here again. The only complaint I would have is that there was no breakfast included with the room. I've stayed in other hotels that were […] less expensive with at least a continental breakfast. The only thing offered here was coffee. My suggestion is to do the same at the Iroquois, then the stay would've been perfect! I loved the location, there was easy access to everything. located close to everything , very quiet, room was quite old (as to be expected in New york.) Bathroom was great and modern.Staff very helpful, would highly recommend to anyone.

Our stay at the Iroquois Hotel was perfect. Concierge Alan went out of his way to remedy a transportation problem we encountered and he and Vanessa were always so pleasant and helpful in giving directions and information. We were very pleased with both the hotel and the location. We didn't eat in the hotel so we can't comment on the restaurant. Although our bedroom was well appointed, it was on the small side but I think this is fairly typical. As this was our first time in New York, we had nothing to compare it to.

We had a great stay here. Rooms very clean and nice, although not the biggest one. Special thanks to Vanessa, the concierge who helped us having a great stay in the Big Apple. Also other staff were great. Great cocktails and the restaurant next door was great too, although a small menu, but all the food was great.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, the location is so central that we walked practically everywhere. The staff were helpful, courteous and very friendly.Our room was spacious and very clean. All in all 5 out of 5, we will certainly stay here when we return to New York.

The only problems we had was that the elevators were really slow. Great location, great martinis in the bar and very helpful employees

I cannot think of a single flaw after staying 4 nights at the Iroquois. It was pretty much perfect in every way. It had character, charm, and history. Rooms were clean and luxurious, the beds were exceptionally confortable. Location was perfect. The service was outstanding. Iva and John knew us by name after the first day and went out of their way to […] ensure that we had an amazing trip. They made us feel as if we were staying at a friend's house each time we returned to the hotel. This was my 8th trip to New York and I can say hands down that this hotel was the best! A lovely boutique hotel. Perfectly located between 5th and 6th for great shopping, near to Time Square for all the best on Bradway. Staff friendly and dedicated. You are also midtown, meaning you can heard north or south with ease. Couldn't be better

Hotel has good location and rooms are small but very comfortable. Staff is very helpfull and our rooms were ready early. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Even though I paid a little more this year for a room it was well worth it. I had an exhausting flight from Australia and had been waiting at the airport for over an hour to be picked up. The staff were sympathetic and took my bags to my room. The restaurant food was superb after my long flight. I even met the chef the next day. It had free internet and for Manhattan the room was a good size with a walk-in wardrobe and even chocolate mints on my pillow each night. Also the air conditioning is central unlike most of the hotels I've stayed in NYC. I would stay here again. It's also close to many restaurants and a short walk to Times Square and the subway. My husband and I spent three wonderful nights at The Iroquois Hotel in Manhattan. Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was tastefully decorated. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The linens were super quality. The personnel were helpful and very courteous. On my birthday, they hotel sent up a bottle of wine and chocolate […] covered strawberries. Although we arrived three hours earlier than check-in we were given the keys to our room immediately - what a wonderful surprise! The only minus I could list would be the size of the bathroom. It was surprisingly tiny, albeit very well equipped. I will recommend this lovely hotel to friends and am sure that I will be returning for another stay there they next time we go to New York. Overall, my husband and I were satisfied with our stay at the Iroquois. Hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. Despite a smaller room than we're used to, we were quite comfortable. I appreciated the complimentary use of a bath robe and slippers, as well as the nightly turn-down service with chocolates. The carpet could use an update - felt a little […] weird so we typically wore our slippers in the room. We loved the location - even closer to Times Square than I had anticipated - and just a few blocks from Grand Central Station, which made getting around by subway convenient. There were only two negatives, and both could have been specific to our room. Our electronic room keys didn't always work well. My husband's key almost always worked, but mine rarely did (replaced it a couple of times). Also, one of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the free wi-fi, but our connection was dodgy at best, and I finally turned it off on my phone and relied solely on 3G. I would definitely consider staying here again, but I'll probably research other options before deciding for sure. Lisateave

This is a wonderful hotel. It is small and elegant. It's quiet and stately. The staff is exceptionally friendly. It's in a very convenient location. Also, the rooms are lovely, and immaculate. It will always be my first choice in New York.

Perfect location for a perfect hotel. We loved that this hotel was 5 minute walk from Times Square. The isn't a big hotel but it was very personal. The room was big enough for the both of us very comfy. The only downside was that the mirror over the desk was tinted so I was unable to blowdry my hair so had to do it in the bathroom (a bit dangerous really) […] but other than that the fluffy towels and dressing gown were lovely. My stay at The Iroquois was wonderful and I would recommend this place to everyone! I was in NYC for work for the majority of the week and had a friend fly out to join me for the weekend. Originally I booked a single room but then asked if I could be moved to a room with two beds in time for my friend’s arrival. The staff said this wouldn’t be a problem […] and they moved my belongings to the new room while I was out for the day at work. Additionally, I gave the front lobby staff my guest’s name and he had no problem getting a key right away and being escorted to the room with his luggage. Very accommodating staff and a great location (2 blocks to Bryant Park, 2 to Times Square, 1 block from Subway, etc.). Will stay here again! Lisateave

This is a wonderful place to stay in midtown New York.Great comfrotable clean ooms,great bed and wonderful staff.

The Iroquois is conveniently located close to Broadway theatres, yet is remarkably quiet. Would definitely consider staying here again.

I concluded a pleasant stay at the Iroquois that was marred only by the problematic key cards I was issued that took at least four or five tries (and as many as ten tries on occasion) to read. Upon checkout, I was assured that the problem had been addressed and the staff made a nice gesture during my stay and sent up some complimentary fruit and chocolate. […] It was nice to be in an independently owned property and I felt that there was a genuine effort to be responsive to guest concerns that isn't always the case with chains. I cannot recommend this hotel. There is no individual control over the AC or heat. We had maintenance adjust the AC down but it never really cooled off enough to sleep. Not enough plugs and the free wireless does not work for iPads. There is no counter space in the bathroom and no overhead lighting. GREAT LOCATION. Close enough to theatre district to walk but quiet enough street to avoid hustle bustle and honky noise of Times Square. Easy walk to Madison and Fifth, or to West side. Wonderful dining choices on street of restaurant and also in vicinity. is Ok. the location is the best feature. the City club is better and the jumeriah is a a much better than this one. but is not bad..

We visited New York on a short break on 29 April, my husband and two children 9 and 3. The hotel was welcoming, clean, the staff were friendly and the location was great. Nothing was too much trouble and we would definitely stay there again.

The blind in the room was really dusty! It also didn't close properly, so that disturbed me. The temperature control in the room didn't work. When reported to the front desk, they said they would report it to the engineers, and the temp was then adjusted externally, bet I couldn't control it.
