Price was excellent and we were surprised by the cleanliness of the room. The nice breakfast that comes with the room is a bonus. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Good enough place to sleep and shower. Plan to stay again when we go back to Maine.

The staff was friendly and when improper cleaning methods were being used in the lobby and it was pointed out to the management, they took care of it right away...safety first! The continental breakfast was decent and the pet policy is appreciated. The room was comfortable, a bit small, but fine for the price. Considering I couldn't sleep due to the beds, I was pretty disappointed. The woman at the front desk tried to accomidate me, she showed me 5 rooms. EVERY BED IN EVERY ROOM WAS SHAPED LIKE A POTATO CHIP ! COMPLETELY WORN OUT ! No wonder it was so cheap. I will not go back. I am in that area twice a month for business. A few hours after I checked in I realized an air conditioner fan for the swimming pool was just outside my window. I requested a room change and they accommodated me at once. This is perhaps one of the cleanest rooms we've stayed in. The room size is a bit small, but ample for a short stay. The pool was heated to a pleasant temperature and very clean with towels provided. The breakfast was the standard waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. Overall, a good experience at a very reasonable price.

The worst part of the stay was the air quality in the room. The smoking rooms are on the bottom floor and definitely seemed to have their air seeping upwards as we were in non-smoking rooms on the second floor. The room had a stale smoke-like environment for the entire visit. The beds were okay, but the room was small. Not much area to move. Few items […] in the room such as no refrigerator, microwave or even iron. The pool area was perfect for younger children. I don’t begin to know where to start to express our disappointment in this hotel. The second floor smelled of cigarette smoke, the mattress in our room was broken down on one side, which made it impossible for two people to sleep on and reeked of cigarette smoke. These conditions forced us to alternate turns sleeping on the recliner in the room next […] to a wide -open window on the last week of February so that we could get some rest. On the last night of our stay someone in the hotel was smoking either in the hallways or in a nearby room. We notified the desk attendant who was very pleasant and apologized for the situation. The most disappointing part of this experience was that when we connected to the internet - the name Wyndham properties or some variation of this appeared. I truly believe if this is a Wyndham property and they were aware of these conditions, there would be major changes made to this property. The staff, breakfast, pool, and room was fantastic! We will be returning. The staff even cleaned the snow from around and off our car when we were snowed in! I have never been happier with a motel!! TY Super 8 for making us feel welcomed!!

The rooms are small but the bed is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and helpful and there is an indoor pool and hot tub. The continental breakfast gave a good variety and was filling. Plan to stay again when we go back to Maine. Close to nearby highways, restaurants and stores.

I often stay here when I am in town visiting family. It is a basic hotel room - nothing fancy. However the beds are very comfy, the room is always clean and the hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The nice breakfast that comes with the room is a bonus. I haven't used the pool, but it looked very inviting.

First: our key opened up a room that was occupied (people in bed when our daughter opened the door ~ very embarrassing for all involved). Second: first room, husband lifted lid of toilet to find what appeared to be dried urine all over commode. Third: second room, toilet had wad of obviously used toilet paper and remains of what didn't get flushed. Fourth: […] our three 13-year old girls were treated to the sounds of a 3-some going on in one of the rooms and the smell of marijuana reeking through the corridor each time they went to the pool. The staff was as several posted...extremely friendly and polite. They acted like I was a special person to them. Feels like an older hotel....is an older hotel, but everything was clean. I stayed at this hotel earlier this summer and the stay was just fine on the first floor. The front desk staff are some of the friendliest people in Maine. If the highlight of your trip is where you stay, then you will not be satisfied with Super 8. If the highlight of your trip is seeing the city etc and you need a cheap place to crash, Super 8 is exactly what you need. Cheap, clean, and good enough place to sleep and shower.

Front office staff, Donna and Michele are the best of all! Maids didn't get the room right even one day. There was always something missing that was supposed to be supplied. Carpets are threadbare with small holes everywhere. Room, however was clean. Bathroom was also clean. Room was #120. No view except of the adjoining wall! Convenient (right off of I-95), clean, and fairly well equipped. Room TVs are older, and no mini fridges - but otherwise perfectly comfortable budget hotel.

Very disappointed. Stayed in a Super 8 in NC which was very nice, so we expected much more. Only 1 person could fit between table and bed, mirror looked like it was never cleaned, the fridge has hand prints all over it, and the carpeting was the most disgusting I've ever seen, filthy stains all over, Didn't even want to walk on it with shoes! We asked […] for a different room but nothing was available except one room upstairs. We couldn't take that because there was no elevator and stairs weren't an option because of a handicap. The bathroom was ok exept the toilet wasn't secure and the corners of the floor were probably never cleaned. No room to even hang our clothes, only about 6 inches. Advertised iron & ironing board which ended up to be a little portable table board with nowhere to put it. Lisateave

We regulary stay in Super 8 hotels. This particular hotel is by far one of the best, feeling a step above the usual "basic needs" hotels. I would greatly recommend this particular Super 8!

Because of high tourist traffic, Portland area motels tend to be run down quickly and cleaning spotty, Super 8 though was clean, some of the carpets well used, 24 hr coffee in the lobby a plus and quite decent. I stayed the night before the Maine Marathon. Very accommodating staff.. Once they came to know that I was participating, they automatically had a late checkout @ 2pm for me - which was helpful as I came back at 1pm from the event.. The location is ~3miles from Maine Marathon starting point, so it was very convenient.. The room/bathroom was really clean […] and well kept.. The air conditioner and heater worked perfectly fine.. I only stayed one night in preparation to run the Maine Marathon the next day. Everything was average, about what I would expect from a Super 8.
