Between Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe, this famous tree-lined thoroughfare strikes through the heart of western Paris. Luxury shops, monumental 19th century buildings, upscale apartments, restaurants and multinational corporations line the streets around La Madeleine. Landmarks include the Grand and Petit Palais, Palais de la Découverte (science museum), and the presidential palace. Gare St-Lazare stands on its eastern edges.

For the price, I think this hotel is excellent - though it's important to be realistic about the cost of hotels in Paris when considering that! The location is good, with easy access to plenty of metro lines and major attractions, and there're good local bars, restaurants and cafes. The staff are very friendly and speak excellent English, and the hotel […] is clean and well-maintained, though perhaps the decor is a little dated. The only real negative is that the rooms are small, but this is to be expected. Being 6' 5" (193cm) my head touched the ceiling in the shower, though this is hardly the first time I've had that problem. There's also not a lot of free floor space, so it's a bit of a challenge to iron if you need to, though at least they've an iron and board available if you need them. Overall, this is a good little hotel and I happily recommend it. Lisateave
"Emeraude Madeleine Plaza- can't wait to go back!"
We were greeted by a very friendly lady at reception who told us our room wasn't quite ready- we decided to upgrade for an extra few euros per night and it was definitely worth it. We had a balcony with a view over the church and the tip of the eiffel tower and the weather was amazing! The room was extremely clean with plenty of room and I was delighted […] to see we had a separate loo....hoorah! My boyfriend and I were both in agreement that the bed was the most comfortable we had ever slept in abroad! Noise was not a problem at all at night despite the busy square because we were so high up in the air. Overall we were so pleased with this hotel and will definitely stay there again when we return to Paris. Lisateave

Right opposite madeleine plaza. one block from printemps and la fayette. The hotel provides airport shuttle service at €18 but actually Roissy bus (€10) is just a 10-15 mins walk away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the cafe right next to the hotel.

A very well situated Hotel for Grand Magasins and boutique shopping, located within easy access to places of interest. Petit dejunier was also good. Would definitely revisit and recommend.

Four friends from Ireland went to Paris for the first time to celebrate our fiftieth birthdays.We had a wonderful time, made all the better by the warmth and professionalism of the hotel staff,in particular by the manager who extended us every courtesy and assistance. He advised us, helped us and made arrangements for us whenever we needed a helping […] hand.The hotel was so convenient to everything and very comfortable and homely. I only hope I can go back again. "Great situation and very comfortable"
Arrived late in evening.Staff most welcoming and friendly.Upgraded to de luxe room.Everything positive but breakfast area small and breakfast expensive at 14 euros. Very central for Grands Magasins and Metro. If arriving at CDG,very easy to travel in by Roissi bus to Opera and then just over 5 minutes walk to hotel.

This was another good experience in this hotel. Staff very friendly, rooms are good enough considering the rate versus location (comparing with the other hotels in the area). The location is ideal for both site seeing and shopping. We will surely return (we already booked our next trip to this hotel)
"Amazing location and service"
A convenient location next to a cafe and metro station. The receptionist are very helpful. I accidently left my stuff while eating at a nearby Japanese restaurant. The receptionist kindly called the restaurant to keep my stuff for me. This is my second stay at this hotel. Will stay here again for future visits.
"Excellent staff, VIEWS!!, tiny rooms"
We arrived early but were told that as soon as the people in our room checked out, they would promptly clean our room and check us in. An hour later, we were in our room. The staff here was super nice, helpful in guiding us to a great restaurant, and spoke excellent English. Our room was tiny because I asked for a room with a balcony. We were on the […] 5th floor, had a view of the Madeline Church and a partial Eiffel tower view! It was worth staying in a small room. It could use a new coat of paint and the doors were a little dirty but it wasn't too bad. The best part of this hotel was definitely the staff and the location. I would highly recommend it Lisateave

Great location, nice hotel, clean, updated bathrooms. A/C wasn't great. Helpful staff. Perfect place to stay for those on a resonable budget. Again perfect location, metro is half a block away, plenty of restaurants and main tourist sites.

The hotel is in a great location with views of Madeleine Plaza (also the metro stop is on this block). The staff were extremely polite and helpful. If you do not speak French, are looking for a hotel with a great location and friendly staff with great English skills, then I highly recommend this hotel.

hotel is close to metro station. the staff is very helpful with anything you might need. the staff stops the automatic door opener at night so not anyone can walk in. Average to good hotel, reasonable value considering the location. Rooms are nicer than the lobby might suggest, service was courteous and pleasant. Have stayed there before and will probably stay again.
"Okay hotel at very convenient location"
I was in Paris for a 3 day vacation. We had opted for the basic room for 2 pax. However, we were upgraded to a delux room. This review is based on our experience with the delux room. 1) The hotel is very conveniently located. It is located right at the Madeline subway. This location is within 15-20 minutes of subway ride from major attractions (Eiffel […] tower, Arc Triomphe, Louvre musuem, Cathedral Notre Dame etc). 2) The check-in process at the hotel was smooth. We were upgraded to delux room. However, the receptionist failed to mention that the new room was on the smoking floor. Though the reception was willing to change the rooms upon request, we were too tired to make the change & decided to stick with the upgraded room. 3) The room was clean & had enough room to move around. However, the in-room safe was not working. The room was facing the Madeline square & hence, had a good view. There is quite a bit of trafffic on the square till late evening but will not disturb with the room windows closed. 4) The hotel serves breakfast in the dining hall & in the room. However, the room selection is much more limited (charged at the same price as dining hall). However, the breakfast is quite expensive & I would not recommend unless you are in a hurry to dash out to see the attractions. 5) The reception desk is friendly & helpful. They were able to help when I requested for room change & when I requested for local travel information. However, I was a bit surprised when they requested that I collect coffee creamer directly from the reception as there was no one available to deliver the coffee creamer to my room. 6) The check-out process was smooth. There were no unexpected charges. Overall, the location of the hotel is a major plus. The hotel maintenance & service can be classified as just okay. I will recommend the hotel for an okay & comfortable stay (but do not expect to be delighted). Lisateave

The hotel is located in a very good neighborhood; close to the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, etc. The room was surprisingly big enough (we were expecting a lot smaller). Bathroom could have been better but after travelling so much we have learnt to make our peace. However the highlight of this hotel is the front desk staff. My husband and I enjoyed this little hotel. Our room was clean (very important for me) but small as you expect it to be in Paris. The neighborhood was great and beacuse of that I will return to this hotel if I travel agian to Paris. The rooms facing street are noisy though. Wonderfully placed hotel, within walking distance of several important sights. The Paris tour buses stop closely by, one of the best chocolate shops, and the metro round the corner. The staff at the hotel were very nice, had the breakfast one morning and it was very good. would use this hotel again due to is accessability, friendliness and cleanliness. Love this cute and small hotel. The room is clean, helpful and polite staff, wonderful location, everything is convenient. It's nearby to a number of restaurants with a cafe located right beside the hotel. Madeline Metro station is just a walk away. Shopping is great too. My only complain is that they clean the room for you quite late during the day […] and didn't replace used shampoos, soaps and plastic cups. There's no shower caps either. Lisateave

Stayed last wk end for 3 days. Very comfortable clean hotel, staff very friendly and all had good english.Breakfast bit pricey but loads of cafes in and around. Hotel very centrally located and within walking distance of most famous landmarks.Bus for tour of Paris just across the street, metro around corner. The place was pleasant, clean and tidy, the staff friendly and helpful and the hotel situated very conveniently close to all local amenities including metro, shops, cafes and restaurants and is walking distance to many attractions. "Excellent value, charming and centrally located"
We stayed one night in the Emeraude Madeleine while visiting family in Paris. The rate was very reasonable for such a centrally-located hotel. The hotel room was elegant and nicely presented, and was reasonably spacious (by the standard of central Paris). The twin hand basins in the bathroom were a nice touch, as was the bathtub. At our 4th floor […] level, the view was dominated by the bulky classical building across the road, but it was just about possible to make out the spire of the Eiffel Tower. A room on a higher floor would have had an impressive view. There was free wi-fi in the room (we had to go down to reception to get the login details, so it's worth asking about that at check-in). The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We got off to a slightly bad start on arrival because they complained that we had not notified them that we had a dog with us (dogs are permitted at an extra cost per day). We explained that the internet booking form did not have a facility to notify about dogs. The location is good - the Obelisk and Opéra are in easy walking distance, as are numerous elegant shops and department stores. A longer walk will take in many other famous sights. Our biggest complaint is the cost of parking in the public car park nearby. Even when the expensive overnight parking is included, however, the cost of the hotel was extremely reasonable compared to other central Paris hotels. The location is extremely convenient to major sites such as the Tuileries and the Paris Opera - both about 30 minute walk away. My husband and I just stayed in Hotel Madeleine Plaza for a weekend for his birthday and our wedding anniversary. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. this is a very good hotel, the location is perfect to get to the us embassy or to the center of the city. It's not too expensive compared to other hotel in this area, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

A few steps from the metro. We were also able to walk to the Tulleries, Louvre, Place Concorde, Opera... also nice shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel was good for just sleep and then go to the street. No luxuries, just what you need to sleep well and clean. Free internet in the room!

This hotel is in an excellent location- metro a few steps away and close to shops and main tourist sites. Ou room was clean but very small and dark so we would not want to stay long but ok for two or three nights. like all Paris hotels there is only a very small breakfast room and so we breakfasted elsewhere and for less money and hot food. "Housekeeping needs work"
Although this hotel was ideally located and clean, the bed is small and the room extremely small. Housekeeping kept turning on the heat while the outside daytime temperature was in the sixties. Also, housekeeping lost a part to our converter kit. The part was on the desk next to our plugs.

As the name implies, the hotel in on the Place de la Madeleine, directly dehind the Church of the Madeleine. We love the location as it is a short walk to the Metro and close to the Place de la Concorde. There are wonderful gourmet food stores on the square. Our favorite was Fouchard, with wonderful pastries and chocolate. The room was very comfortable […] with a great bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was fresh and clean but small. The staff was knowledgeable about local area and made reservations for us for several events. They were very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

"Midt i sentrum"
Fin og rolig beliggenhet, men sentralt. Litt små rom, men veldig koselige. Gode senger. Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsomm stab, fikk hjelp til å skrive ut boardingpass. FIkk ikke AC til å virke og det var varmt om natten.

"Madeleine Plaza (Emeraude) Paris"
Sijainti voisi tuskin olla parempi kuin tällä hotellilla. Kävellen pääsee sujuvasti esim. Champs Elyseelle, Riemukaarelle ja vasemman rannan ravintolatarjontaan. Louvre ja Tuilleresin puisto ovat heti Place de la Concorden takana. Kaikki toimii hotellissa hyvin paitsi hissi, jonka siivoojat varaavat käyttöönsä aamupäivisin. Syystä kylläakin, sillä siivousvaunuja […] ei pysty portaita pitkin kuljettamaan. Hotellin läheisyydessä on erinomainen ravintolatarjonta niin ranskalaisia kuin itämaisiakin. "Super beliggenhed når turist"
Hotellets beliggenhed var udmærket når man skal være turist, tæt på de fleste seværdigheder, Metro station m/flere linier 10-100 m fra hotellet og tæt ved shoppinggaderne. Metro-systemet er perfekt. Ved 5 dages ophold køb Paris-Visite 5 dgs transport-kort der dækker TGV, Metro, Bus i storParis området, inkl. Versailles og lufthavne. Det gør det nemmere […] at komme rundt.. Kan købes i lufthavnen ved ankomst. Hotellets generelle standard var tilfredsstillende, MEN det Superior Dobbeltværelse vi fik var meget lille, og dobbeltsengen udgjorde over halvdelen af værelsets areal. Der var en stol for lidt, men den var der heller ikke plads til. For vores første gang på en hotelværelse, var der IKKE spejl på værelset, hvilket er et MUST for en kvinde - det skabte utilfredshed. Badeværelset var lidt lille men alright. Rengæringen var meget god, også på badeværelset. Morgenmadsalonen var lille, men tilfredsstillende, EUR 14 pr person. Cafe Madeleine ligger dog rundt hjørnet, hvis man blot skal have en kop kaffe/croissant. Lisateave
