Chateau Versailles - Montreal

The Good: -Excellent staff: very helpful and knowledgable -Delicious breakfast with good coffee -Comfortable bed -Computer with internet in inconspicuous area -Fantastic location: walking distance to Metro and Bixi stations as well as shopping/eating sites The Not-So-Good: -no elevator (not an issue for us but may be one for others)

good hotel , excellent service. Clean comfortable room with little extras, such as turn down service and the little chocolate. only complaint was our room had little natural light, due to it been semi basement

We enjoyed the hotel and the great breakfast each morning. The staff was nice and very helpful. The location is an easy walking distance to anywhere downtown, and only 2 blocks to the metro to go anywhere else. Our problems came with the air conditioning. It was not working in the room we were checked into so they gave us another room. The AC worked […] in the new room, but the drain for it backed up getting the carpet all wet. REALLY nice...romantic and functional. Convenient to metro and bus. $10 to old Montreal in Taxi. Nice neighborhood with store and non touristy area. Nice breakfast, good coffee and NICE PEOPLE. Room was large and comfy and quiet. No elevators, though, so be prepared to lug bags up the entry and to your room. Except may be for th enight receptionist […] who was too busy texting or chatting on computer to even say hello, everyone else was fantastic. Lisateave

Really enjoyed our stay at Chateau Versailles, the location was good near the main shopping district -however a bit of a walk to old montreal. bed was comfy, room was clean & quiet. All and all no complaints. Defintely beats staying at a generic hotel, has the cute "boutique" feel. would stay here again!

We booked a deluxe room at the CV for four nights (which gave us 30% off the base rate). The room was perfectly comfortable, not huge, but not too cramped. We were on the third floor, which did mean lugging our suitcases up a couple flights of stairs, but that sort of thing doesn't really bother us. The bathroom was quite small, but the space was maximized […] well with a wraparound counter and mirror. Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries were a definite bonus. Our window looked out onto a courtyard and noise was never a problem. The breakfast offered a good selection including cold cereals, fresh fruit, cold frittatas, sliced cheeses and meats, and some rather disappointing pastries. There is a turndown service; the first night they left us two chocolates, the second night one chocolate, and the third night no chocolate, which we found pretty amusing, if inexplicable. Other than the mysterious chocolate rationing, the staff were perfectly pleasant and helpful. There is occasionally a bellhop; he was there when we checked out, and saved me from lugging my suitcase down the front steps. The neighborhood is quiet, but the metro station is two blocks away, and if you're up for a bit of a walk you can walk pretty much anywhere in the city. Lisateave

This hotel was delightful!

Stayed one evening in between visits and enjoyed the chance to see Montreal again. The hotel was well maintained,the staff could not have been more accommodating and the location was great -good part of Montreal. Everything was within walking distance and Old Montreal was only a half hour away and it was a pleasant walk. The breakfast was delicious. […] The only discomfort was due to the air conditioning which was set at a lower temperature than we were used to otherwise the room was comfortable and we had lots of space.We did not ask for this to be changed as we were hardly in. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Chateau Versailles. I concur with most of the earlier posted positive reviews. Our room was small, but comfortable, and the service was impeccable. Close by Catherine St. shopping, metro station, Titanic Exhibit. Complimentary b-fast top-notch. Hallways cold due to over-air conditioning, but not in them long. Twenty-four […] dollars a night for valet parking a bit pricey, but perhaps this is the going rate for Montreal. Desk staff courteous & helpful. Some younger members not quite a knowledgeable as more experienced staff. Lisateave

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Chateau Versailles. It was a lovely boutique hotel close to the Musee des Beaux Arts, yet on the fringe of downtown (which made the neighborhood quiet and less touristy). The Parc was also a short distance away. The best part of our stay: the breakfast was phenomenal for the price. It included two kinds of […] frittata, hard-boiled eggs, several breads/pastries, fruits, cheeses, meats, yoghurt, cereal, and a great selection of beverages. Items were fresh and continuously well-stocked (important for us because we usually didn't make it down to breakfast until around 10am). At one point, the door to the fitness center was not working and the staff immediately addressed the problem. I was able to get into the room within 20 minutes. Overall, we would certainly stay here again and recommend the hotel to Montreal travelers. Lisateave

The location was great for accessing the Metro. Plenty of space to accommodate all the guests at breakfast, which was more than bagels and juice. The room was smaller than we were used to but was immaculate. When we asked for an extra pillow, we received it immediately. The front desk staff, while pleasant, were not fully versed in the local attractions. […] We went to the Information Booth in town, who had all that we needed. Upon checkout, the valet saw that I needed to fill up our cooler for the ride home. When I returned back inside the hotel after checking something in the car, the valet was nice enough to fill the cooler for me. The wireless access is not free but the affiliate hotel across the street provides two computers and a printer for free. Lisateave

We were very pleased with the Chateau Versailles. It was tastefully decorated and our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Toutefois, les murs en carton peuvent refroidir certaines humeurs romantiques... En plein coeur du nouveau quartier chinois, les randonnés autour de l'hôtel nous permettent de voir la très belle architecture de Montréal.

Roligt hotel med vægt på klassiske væsentlige ydelser for et hotel. Velbeliggende i gåafstand til møder på McGill, til byens museer, det gl. franske kvarter og til Mont Real.

nous sommes satisfaits de la situation de l'hotel, l'accueil chaleureux , mais notre chambre située au niveau de la rue manquait de propreté.

Excellent hôtel, très bien situé, tout confort, personnel charmant et aux petits soins. Seul bémol : la chambre est un peu petite

Très bon Hotel, juste un moins car il n'y a pas d'ascenseur, c'est un peu dur pour les valises. Il manque un bar et le petit déjeuner buffet est bon mais, l'espace "salon" avec tables et fauteuils bas ne sont pas très confortables. Pour le reste tout était bien, le personnel très agréable, serviable et réactif à nos demandes.

I gangavstand til museer og handlegater ligger et franskinspirert litet hotell, hvor du mottas utenfor av en hyggelig ansatt ved hotellet. Høyt under taket, noe slitt men sjarmerende interiør, tydelighet og hjelpsomhet preger personalet. Anbefales spesiellt for unge voksne på bytur.

El hotel esta bien, pero no como lo venden. El desayuno es muy pobre.No hay ascensor.El bano deja mucho que desear.Situacion excelente.

Si vous êtes prêts à marcher un peu ou à prendre les transports publics (station Guy à 300m), l'hôtel est bien situé (entre le parc Mont Royal et la rue commerciale Ste-Catherine). Les chambres sont correctes, même si elles ne sont pas toutes neuves. A priori un bon rapport qualité/prix pour le localité, avec une location à l'avance via hotels.com.

Un havre de paix au coeur de Montréal. Petit déjeuner continental inclus excellent, personnel aimable, serviable et agréable!

Qualität und Freundlichkeit an der Rezeption sehr unterschiedlich. Einrichtung von Zimmer und Frühstücksraum im Kolonialstil lassen ein wenig an Komfort zu wünschen übrig. Die Freude am umfangreichen Frühstücksbuffet wird leider durch die zum Teil planlos agierenden Mitarbeiter getrübt.

Hyvä sijainti joka suhtessa, mikäli on varautunut liikkumaan omatoimisesti. Lyhyt kävelymatka joka suuntaan; museot, ravintolat, metro, luonto ja Bulevardi. Hotelli rauhallinen ja henkilökunta palvelusuuntautuneita.

Hotel muito bom mas sem elevador e com bastantes escadas...
