I needed a place to crash for the night after a long drive so I booked this motel in advance as it was on the way to the aviation museum in McMinville. I was little apprehensive for some reason from the online pictures, but the rate was good and I figured I just needed a place to eat and sleep. What I found was a bright, clean, modern motel as good […] as any I have stayed at. The location was very convenient. Despite being right on the main road through town it was surprisingly quiet. It is in a business area so not a lot to see in the immediate area, but lots of stores etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a bar / restaurant on the same lot that served top-notch food at very reasonable prices, and many other family restaurants in the immediate area. I down rated the room comfort only because the TV had very limited channel selection and a poor quality analog signal. A typical free continental breakfast is available. The basics are covered here, but it's time to update/replace the fittings. The lampshade was so stained, it was hard to find an original section of it. Hallway very smelly, smelled of smoke. Breakfeast not served till 7:00. we could not even check out till after 7:00 am.

Management not flexible in rules. 20 min. free on hotel computer, then charged for time .50 charge for copies made signs not to remove breakfast items to the room to eat signs not to pick up the toast with fingers signs not to burn your toast or could start the fire alarm signs with many rules not to break when using the pool asked for late check-out […] for special needs circumstances, l hr given and no more bathroom fan noise? from room above kept me up most of the night I did not feel welcome by management and will not be staying there again. The bed was really comfortable. There's no elevator, and we stayed on the second floor, but it wasn't a problem.

I found the Travelodge in Newberg to fit my needs nicely...management and staff courteous/friendly. Nice accommodations and convenient location to any services a traveler might need. Check-in was swift since it was prepaid via Hotels.com. Called for later arrival and Mgr was there at 10:30 pm. Check-out was same swift process, done in less than 4 minutes. Continental breakfast was a bit thin, 2types cereal for kids, bagels, toast, hardboiled eggs, yogurt & apples/bananas. Coffee, juice, etc. Room was satisfactory and clean. This hotel was very convenient to McMinnville (our destination for the next day). The beds were comfortable and the room clean & quiet. Our hotel door handle had issues and the friendliness upon check in left something to be desired, but we slept well and the restaurant located in the parking lot was GREAT!

Very good value. Newer motel. Large, well lighted, comfortable room. 2nd floor room, no elevator. Got my workout lugging my wife's and my suitcases and other misc. items up and down the stairs(ugh!) The hotel needs some work.....old mattresses, worn out pillows, stained lamp shades, just overall worn look to the place. It was conveniently located for our purposes but that would be the best thing about our stay.

I think the girl at the front desk was very rude. I asked questions and she seemed as if it was too much of a bother to answer them. Questions like how we ended up in a room with 2 queens when we reserved a king. She did not tell us about the continental breakfast or other hotel services.

This hotel was fine for our purposes, conveniently located to Willamette valley wineries. Breakfast was so-so, but room was clean and bed comfortable. The affordable rate meant we could spend a little more on wine and nice dinners.

The Travelodge was consistent with my expectations in every way - nicely predictable. The restaurant out front - Finnegans, however, I would tend to discourage. My stay @ the Newberg Travelodge was great, the room was great !! the only thing that I dident like was the contentinal breakfast. the dougnuts were frozen ,along with the waffels.Every thing else was so so. The coffee was good I had two cups.

Everything was pretty good there, but the bed was a little hard and didn't sleep the best. The bathtub had a couple of hairs, but other than that very clean. I did get bit by a spider or something on my back in the middle of the night. Still itching after four days. Pool and hot tub clean, but kids under 14 were allowed to swim without supervision.

clean, reliable, good location. even one of the local wine makers made this inn a frequent lodging when scoping out the area. He even asked us to say hello to the manager of the hotel. Just a short walk from Maria's Tacos (a food truck) that is awesome.

Nice facility, good staff. AC was awful. Noisy and hardly worked at all. Small pillows and room was hot. I don't think we could go back. I hope all Travel Lodges aern't like this.

While not the nicest place...it was inexpensive and each room came with a mini fridge and microwave I was only in the room to sleep for about 6 hours and left a few minutes after waking to go on a hot air balloon ride

This is a very good motel for the price. It's clean, and conveniently located to Willamette Valley wineries. Our room on the second floor was quiet, spotless, and in good repair. The mini-fridge is a plus. The room had an air-freshened aroma that was OK for me. The hallway had a faint odor of cigarette smoke, due to a small number of smoking rooms at […] the other end of the corridor, but I didn't detect the smell in the room. The lobby is tiny. The clerk was friendly and efficient. There's a basic free breakfast. WiFi was free and worked fine. I guess our only complaint was that the bathroom towels are a joke, even for an inexpensive motel. A motel towel has to be big enough to encircle you once so you can leave the bathroom covered up if you want to, and just thick enough to absorb basic moisture. These towels fail even that minimum standard. I've never seen smaller or thinner towels. But everything else is OK. There's plenty of parking, and nearby restaurants you can walk to. The area seems completely safe. It isn't fancy, but everything is in good repair, clean, quiet, and comfortable. I can't think of a good reason to spend more unless you're looking for a resort (there's one up the road at five times the cost). Lisateave

Good breakfast, clean pool, tub, sauna (turn it on ahead). Comfortable linens and decent amenties including fridge and microwave. With proximity to wine country, wine glasses should be offered and they are due for flat screen video.
