Friendly staff. Prompt service. What's advertised is reliably delivered. 3 story hotel. Clean, modern-looking room furnishings. Quiet in room yet centrally located and close to many popular night clubs (Mango's, Fat Tuesdays, Mansion). Very close to the beach. Very nice location

The hotel is situated very good, only a three minute walk from Ocean Drive and the beach. The hotel was recently renovated and the rooms were new, very clean and nice. The service personnel was very friendly and helped with lugage and any questions I had. The only draw back was that the pool wasn't open. The hotel was just what we wanted! Comfortable, upscale, great location, contemporary, great breakfast, gracious, friendly staff - what more can one want on vacation!!

Check in service was slow as the front desk was understaffed. The charge for parking is $26/day if you choose valet and $20/day if you want to find a lot on your own. Valet allows as many out and back times as you wish, so that was nice. But this is an additional charge I did not expect. Hotel staff was great. Very nice and willing to help out. The high reviews this hotel receives completely baffle me after my recent stay. While recently renovated, the fresh paint is quite clearly simply an attempt to hide a general level of uncleanliness. Further, the ongoing renovations run throughout the night and shake the hotel through the paper-thin walls. On numerous nights, workers used power tools […] well past midnight directly outside our room window. Overall, a noisy, dirty and generally dissapointing hotel. A small hotel yet the claning staff struggled to make it to our room before the eveing each day we were there. Much better options and value in South Beach. I would certainly not return! Lisateave

This hotel is in a perfect location and the rooms are very clean. The only down side was the construction going on that could be a bit noisy in the morning but nothing to get crazy about. I would definitely be staying here again. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Freezing cold showers, ants aplenty especially in the bathrooms, rooms keys that de-magnetize and don't work multiple times, strange construction workers on in between floors that glare at your menacingly and invoke discomfort and worry about your valuables in your room. This was honestly the worst stay in a hotel i ever had. Thank god the bar was  […] working... Lisateave

The staff at the Blue Moon made the stay memorable and pleasurable.

I had always wanted to stay in this historic hotel with its connection to the song Blue Moon. While the location right in the heart of the Art Deco District and 1 block from the beach is fabulous, the room was tiny to the point of being cramped: no fridge or microwave, little bureau inside an already small closet, a desk so close to the end of the bed […] that the chair had to be moved to get to the far side! Positives: The room and bath (shower only) were spotless clean and the Queen bad was very comfortable. The hallways are bright and safe and the lobby is pleasant, with a charming patio with umbrella tables overlooking Collins Avenue. The bar looked nice but we didn't hang out there so I can't comment on the service. Our room , which faced onto Collins was quiet and the staff were very gracious. Big beach towels are supplied at the front desk. Negatives: The ancient elevator was so slow that we walked to and from our 3rd floor room. Much of the hotel was being renovated, so even though a pool is advertised and a $10 "resort fee" charged but the pool area was under construction and unavailable. Unless you can find a metered spot on the street, valet parking is $25/night and it took a long time to get our car. The complimentary breakfast was identical to what you get at a decent motel: fruit, cereal, juice, yoghurt and a waffle maker- decent, but pedestrian for a foodie haven like Miami Beach. And if you're really into the "scene," i.e. Lincoln Road, it's bit of a hike so consider what's most important for you. There was a decorator/designer there making some recommendations for changes so I think the trend line is good, but it's a very small space for more than a night or two. Finally, there is a Starbucks 1 block west and 2 north; you now know my priorities! Lisateave

I arrived early around 9am and found a lovely little hotel with a wonderful, pleasant and accommodating staff. They allowed me to check in very early. The young lady behind the desk even helped me with the old fashioned elevator. I cannot say enough how much I really liked the staff. But things began to downhill from the start. As I checked in I was […] given a form to sign agreeing to pay an EXTRA "Amenity Charge" of $10+TAX per night. Amenities I did not want, (Continental Breakfast, Lunchtime Snack, Beach towels and Beach Chairs) but I was told I had to pay for anyway. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this was a first. The room was very small, so small in fact that one of the bedside units was shoved in the very small closet, which had no shelves or clothes rail or hangers , so nowhere to hang my clothes. I went down to the desk to see if they could just give me the rail and hangers and i'd take care of it myself but I was told by the maintenance man the rails and hangars were "on order" and should arrive in a few days. Both bedside units had a very strong smell of whatever cheap compressed wood units are glued together with. When i opened the drawers of the one in the closet 3 of the 5 handles came off in my hand. The unit was dusty inside and the top was stained with what looked like some dried up sticky liquid. So I kept my clothes in my suitcase which i had to keep closed and standing in a corner as there was no place to put it. Remember, the broken, smelly bedside unit is squeezed into the closet. Anyway... undeterred and determined to have a great few days, i decided to take a shower to freshen up before heading out to enjoy South Beach. The bathroom was nicely done, clean, modern with a few nice touches. However, the toilet water kept running so the cistern kept on hissing as it tried to fill. Despite several jiggles of the handle it just kept running, and did so the entire time, which was frustrating at night when trying to sleep, not to mention the enormo Lisateave

Hotel is old and not very nice, but is conveniently close to the beach. You can walk one block to Ocean drive and you are at the beach. There is no parking garage, so we ended up having to pay for valet parking for $27 per day. There is also an additional "amenities fee" for $10 per day that was not included in the price we paid through hotels.com. […] So we ended up paying $37 more per day than what we initially anticipated. Other than that the hotel is priced ok, and is not a bad place to stay. There are plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Lisateave

The staff were all very nice. The $10 per day room charge was very fair given the nice breakfast. Our room didn't have a dresser which was strange. But otherwise I would recommend this hotel and will return.

The guys at the hotel were very friendly. We really enjoyed the service and especially the location. 2 blocks from the beach and 7 blocks from Lincoln Road Mall. They give you towels and beach chairs to use so that made our trip to the beach really nice. I would like to make these points brief: Clean room, but bland. White, bare walls in my room. The window looked out onto a filthy alleyway. Staff were polite and courteous, and I happily chatted to one employee in the hotel bar. No parking available for the hotel. My stay was ok, but I stayed at nicer motels for half the price. The blue moon hotel has very comfortable rooms, staff is very friendly, and the hotel is situated in a good location. No parties going on at night, so no noise. Would definitely recommend this hotel

The room and bathroom were nice. The mini bar and bath robes were pleasant added features. However, the air conditioner was toooo loud. The light from under and around the door was annoying, as well as the tiny little bugs that were everywhere and the carpet couldv'e been cleaner. The hotel was convienently located and the staff was super nice.

This is a great location if you are planning to hang on South Beach. I reserved a double room and was placed in a king room with a rollaway. There was no acknowledgment of the discrepancy during check in. I was told I needed to walk down to get a new room. The next room was a handicap accessible room wdown the hall from the front desk. I could hear […] the front desk agent checking in guest with clarity. I called to ask if there was another double room available. I was surprisingly moved. The room had a flat screen tv and a beautiful view of Collins. However, the a/c leak wet the clothing hanging in the closet. Also, the comforter had a fresh orange color stain (which was changed upon request.). Lisateave

Loved this hotel. Room was a bit small but was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious, clean and came with nice amenities. The location is why this deal is really worth it. You are right in the middle of all the South Beach action. One block from the beach, on a street with great shopping, and also you are a few steps away from hundreds of […] awesome bars. My friend and I got an amazing deal price wise and had an insanely fun girls weekend. Oh, and if they tell you the bar is open 24/7, it's not. But there is a 24/7 liquor store around the corner that delivers. Gotta love Miami! Lisateave

I enjoyed my stay at the Blue Moon. On the plus side, the service is excellent. All workers are friendly and very helpful. All common areas are kept very cleen and the breakfast is a good deal. The hotel is located in a very Central point close to Ocean Drive and the beach. On the negative side, the rooms are a bit on the small side as with most Art […] Deco hotels. Also, the carpet was not clean. We had to request the room be vaccumed because the maid didn't do his/her job. We would preferred they shampooed the carpet.. Lisateave

Me and my wife stayed here 1 night and loved it! We didnt anticipate for it to be as cozy, quiet, and well maintained as it is! Originally we thought this was a check in by the hour spot! It is far beyond that! Also great that its located on Collins Ave and close to all including Ocean Drive and the beach!!!

The hotels is in a old house then elevator and hallway are too small, very well maintain, clean and good location

Blue Moon was a great find. The staff were fantastic, the pool was cute and quiet and breakfast was a nice spread. The only problem with the room was that the AC was quite noisy, but U'm sure it has been fixed. Location: Not the hotel's fault, I thik it's just Miami, but from one block to the other it was a completely different atmosphere. Did not feel […] safe at night. Lisateave

This place was nice for the money. The staff was very friendly. The pool was more like a large bathtub but who needs a large pool with South Beach only a block away. The elevator though needs to be upgraded but I guess it's part of the charm of this old boutique hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay from what I can remember.

We were very pleased with Blue Moon Hotel. The staff was beyond courteous and the hotel just felt like home. Also, it's in a prime location. Next time we go to Miami I would definitely stay here again

Most aspects of public areas of hotels, and our room, specifically, were average to above average. Staff was abundant, unobtrusive and exceedingly friendly and responsive. Minor maintenance items in room and few areas soiled from age could easily be remedied. Biggest complaint is that there is, to my recollection, no advance warning of $28 per day off-site […] parking (twenty minutes or more to retrieve our car on departure) which stands in stark contrast to our room rate which we deemed reasonable.. I do not know Miami Beach parking options such as park n' ride or lot with shuttle but if alternative exists we were never told of same. Lisateave

1 block away from the beach and the clubs.... Staff is nice..... but they speak "Matter of Factly". As in.... if you ask "Why does the internet not work on my iPad?" their answer will be "Well, it should" But, you will be expecting a more helpful answer than that! I had read many good reviews about Blue Moon and was not disappointed at all. The hotel and staff were lovely. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The view overlooking Collins Ave was great too! We were very pleased we chose this hotel. They lived up to all the good reviews and remarks.

Just stayed at the Blue Moon for the second time. It's a wonderful boutique-style hotel. Daily breakfast was great and convenient. Location is very close to beach and shops. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Only two things were bothersome: 1) AC unit was pretty loud in the room (but housekeeping provides earplugs), 2) daily "activities" charge is […] VERY annoying. Particularly since the rooms themselves are a bit pricey. Otherwise, I had a great stay and will definitely stay there again when I'm in South Beach. Lisateave

Little Gem, staff were super helpful and polite. I travel quite extensively and I am very picky. Decent size bathrooms, super clean linens, just a very positive vibe about this hotel.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.The location of this hotel is perfect as it is 1 block from Ocean Drive where the beach and restaurants are located.Its peaceful at nights the only downfall is the walls are quite thin and you can hear the people in the room next door.The front patio is great for people watching and having a beer or 2 […] in the evenings.All in all we had a great stay here and if we ever return to Miami we will stay at this hotel. I thought this hotel was very good for the price. The location was great. Small pool but it's only a block from the beach. There was a nice front patio to have a drink and people watch. Our room was a little small but clean. The only complaint I had was that the carpet was old and dirty.
