Hampton Inn & Suites Houston-Medical Center-Reliant Park - Houston

Two adults and 4 children. I loved the full size fridge, dishwasher, stove and all the pots, pans, silverware and cleaning products provided. I thought the rooms were modern. One of the nicer suites I have stayed in and breakfast and staff were awesome. Very pleased!

For the most part everything was very good. The room was nice and included a small frig and microwave. One downside was the way the mirrors were placed, you could see into the bathroom if the door wasn't shut well. We weren't ever able to get the Internet to work, and when we called the front desk to ask for help, we realized the phone receiver didn't […] work either. We finally figured out we could make a call if we used speakerphone, but the guy at the front desk was of no help. The two different women who checked us in and out we're very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet had lots of hot and cold choices. I would stay there again. Getting to and from Methodist Hospital was very easy and quick. Lisateave

In Houston for birth of new grandbaby and hotel is directly across from Women's Hospital - could walk over in 5 minutes; shuttle available to other hospitals

I have never had a miserable stay at a hotel. I have asked for a complete refund. We were supposed to stay 2 nights. The first night when we got to the room there was a musty smell. Before going to bed we thought the carpet in front of the air conditioner was damp but went to bed anyway. At 12:30 AM we were awakened by the fire alarm. It went off probably […] a minute after sounding. We called the front desk and were told it was someone smoking in their room. We found the carpet wet by that time so went to the lobby and were given a different room. After moving our belongings and getting back to sleep, we were awakened again at 5:30am by another fire alarm. It continually sounded this time so we immediately went to the lobby. We were told there was a problem with the alarm - no smoke was detected. We asked that our next night room be cancelled without penalty even though it was past the cancellation time. We were told it was taken care of but would need to speak to the manager when she came on duty. We found another hotel closet to Reliant Stadium and stayed there the following night. It was a better price - wish we had booked there in the first place. Lisateave

I normAlly love staying at Hampton inn but this was my least favorite visit ever. The duvet covers were old and lumpy and the hotel rooms were very aged.

When I first arrived at the hotel, the sink was broken but they moved me to a new room right away. Also, the fire alarm when off at 4am which was a false alarm, and that was terrible but I guess those things happen. The continental breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable.

I was in Houston for medical treatment. The hotel is convenient to the Texas Medical Center, and offers a free shuttle to and from the TMC. I was at the hotel for 13 days this time. I found the hotel a very good place to stay in every way. The condition of the hotel and its management were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had one incident with the A/C/Heating but it was fixed and then someone came to check to make sure everything was OK. Continental breakfast was very good, also the shuttle service was very accommodating. The snacks set up in the afternoon in the breakfast area (lemonade, cookies, etc.) was an extra bonus. The included breakfast was very nice. The common area where breakfast was served was also very nicely layed out for groups of all sizes. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was that the refrigerator was too loud, so I unplugged it at bedtime.

Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and had everything we needed. The free breakfast was fantastic and the fact that coffee and tea are available all day is a definite plus. Would stay here again in the future.

Stayed a week for business, loved the excellent breakfast: hot, tasty, different choices daily. Sofa in room made for relaxing evenings. For restaurants, there is a Luby's and Subway sandwich shop just a few yards away, inexpensive but a little boring. Having a fridge and microwave in room is a big plus, but no grocery stores around. We went to a game at Reliant and decided to stay the night. Hotel was not far from anything and i was very surprised at the room. Called out for Chinese food and they delivered directly to the room. Thought I was booking a regular king room and it turned out to be a suite with a full kitchen. I will definitely be staying here.

We needed a place near Reliant Stadium for the Texans/Titans game on 9/30. This is a great location if you plan on attending an event there, as you can enter the parking areas from the north with far less traffic than coming off of loop 610. Only complaint was beds were tiny. To be fair, they are listed as doubles, but I'm thinking they were no more […] than a full sized mattress.
