Such an adorble little hotel that really doesn't seem like much inside, but once you walk in its beautiful! Would definitely go back again. We had a corner room with a view and could see the entire Harbour. Just breathtaking.

It was a nice hotel but not as nice as the web site made it look. I was expecting a much nicer, bigger & more equipped hotel. There was no pool or hot tub, the exercise room was small with no free weights. We had a friend stay with us for a few hours and they wanted $12. for parking. After what we paid for the hotel for 5 nights...Ridiculous!!

Great staff, location. Noise is a problem... delivery, garbage trucks "beep beep" backing up for daily calls 5.30 -8 am under my window. That is not on. The lame explanation was " they're not supposed to come before 9". (The )accommodating staff were kind enough to move me to the quieter north end). But this was the daily routine weekend or weekday. […] Interior walls between suites are not soundproof at all. Normal volume conversation in the hallway is perfectly audible. Nothing can be done about that w/o an expensive reno I'm sure . I'd stay again ...just be prepare for a racket. Kind regards Lisateave

Small and perfectly located for a short exploration of Granville. The hotel was under some renovation which is fine. Beds not as comfortable as I would have liked, but otherwise the stay was pleasant. Would recommend for a short 1-2 day stay.

had a great stay as usual. Close to all the things that I go to Vancouver for. Gym was out of commission but there are so many other ways of getting your exercise - walking, running, bike rentals.

The hotel and room were adequate, although I wouldn't pay full price. However, room service and the food from the restaurant were poor. It took almost 1.5 hours to receive 2 burgers and fries ... And they were cold by the time they arrived. We had to phone the restaurant 3 times to ask where our food was and each time they said that the restaurant "just […] got really busy" but the food was on its way. If they had told us that it was going to take over an hour we would have gone out to eat. Lisateave

Upon arrival and at departure the front desk staff were unfriendly and uncooperative when asked simple questions. We were advised all fitness services; gym, hot tub and sauna are unavailable. Hallways felt like walking in a garden hothouse and the floors were covered in plastic. The room was gorgeous, so we stayed. We loved it! Staying at the hotel, dinner at Sandbars and entertainment at the Improv Theatre made for a perfect mini vacation for our Anniversary. Bestof all we could park, walk and enjoy a bottle of wine!

We visited with our 4 year old and found this to be a great location away from the busy downtown hotels. Our room overlooked the harbor and the kids market, public market, and restaurants are a short, pleasant walk away; the art studios and theaters of the Railspur district are next door and fun to browse. We even got to chat with a Haida totem pole […] sculptor working at night near the hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. Lisateave

It was nice, clean and quiet. The bed was comfy and the snack bar was pleasantly supplied at reasonable prices! The room was not what I had requested. When I questioned the front desk they couldn't tell me why the request wasn't honored other than that the rooms were allocated in the morning and this was how it was done. They acknowledged that the request […] was there tho and gave us vouchers for breakfast as way of apologizing. Watch out for the parking police; we paid for parking till noon but they marked our tires at 10 a.m! Lisateave

Second time in a month we have stayed here and experience was excellent. If you want a place central this si the place. Lots to see and do. If you like to walk along the harbour this is the place and the lights of Vancouver at night is breath taking.

Staff were friendly, lobby was nice, rooms seemed adequate, until we got up in the morning. After a nights sleep of messing up the blankets i was disgusted to see the bottom half of the fitted sheet was covered in lint and little black hairs( neither of us have black hair)

How lucky were we! Checked Expedia for a short notice booking and wanted to meet my nephew on Granville Island and we got a great deal at the Granville Island Hotel which was lovely-highly recommended!

Was very well placed on a gorgeous island, service was great, rooms were clean. We really had no complaints! Would have been nice if breakfast was included free as well, but that's a nit.

Hotel staff was great and accommodating. You can't beat the location for getting around Vancouver and for siteseeing. Nothing to improve really.

Our 1st time was 20 years ago! This was our 2nd. Great place for a romantic rendezvous. Interior has been updated and is very nice, luxurious feeling. Location is superb for romantic strolls on the island and around false creek. Very central for visiting vancouver. Met my son in Vancouver to celebrate his 19th Birthday and it could have not be more lovely staying at the Granville Island Hotel! Our room was clean and comfortable overlooking the water and boats. The front desk staff were courteous and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. So many lovely amenities all within walking distance. A delightful home […] away from home! Great hotel! We arrived an hour before their preferred check in time of 2:00pm, our room wasn't quite ready yet (which we understood) so we killed some time and came back at 2:00. Our room still wasn't ready, which wasn't a big deal as we are pretty easy going people and were more than happy to wait but instead of having us wait they upgraded us to […] a room with a balcony. Wonderful experience, walking distance to all of Granville island's attractions, walking distance to ferries to rest of Vancouver. We will definitely stay here again. The best pleasure trip we've taken in some time.

We really love the location. When we required assistance from the staff they were very friendly and helpful. The King rooms were spacious. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the hotel and would definitely return to the Granville Island Hotel for both business and pleasure.

Very nice hotel in a great location if you don'y mind not being right down town. Quieter than down town and still great access to 4th avennue in Kitsilano and dowtown via sea bus. Provide different experience than the traditional dowtown tower hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised by the state of the hotel. The staff were friendly and professional, the hotel and rooms very clean and modern. You can't beat the view from our room - Science World, water and boats. Our only complaint was the noise on the 2nd floor. We must have been below a housekeeping room and a few doors down from another supply/staff […] room as the noise started fairly early in the morning and continued until check out. Lisateave

Great room with a lot of character and fun location to walk around the market. Shower big enough for two people was especially nice for us! The only troublesome thing about our stay was an employee trying to give us another bottle of water when we had the do not disturb sign on the door.

Very nice hotel, lovely lobby, small but comfortable room, nice king sized bed, clean but paint was chipping off door to bathroom. Loved that my small dog was welcome, she was given a treat upon arrival. Delicious breakfast in the restaurant. I would definitely stay here again even if I do not bring my dog.
