The building looks like every other - on the side of a highway. Room was decent, needs to be updated. But the staff was all very friendly and helpful, and they allow pets which was why we chose this hotel. Overall, I'd go back if I had to be in K-zoo on a budget...

Hotel was further out of town than we hoped - we had no car. Staff didn't know about bus service. Hairdryer didn't work in one of our rooms. Loo overflowed in another of our rooms, fortunately another room was available. Continental breakfast (included in price) was better than expected.

Showers were cold, manager not receptive in person or on the phone. It was a packed hotel so they really should have turned up the temp on the hot water heater. He came right out and called patrons liars, that they probably did have hot water, when in fact, no one did. Not impressed with management.

We arrived very late, had to wait twenty minutes for someone to come to the desk, the room was a little worn, beds were not comfortable. Location is handy.

Because they are not very extremely far from a few bad areas of Kalamazoo they are a good bargain if you need to find a place at the last minute.

I stayed in the jacuzzi king room. It was clean and overall, my stay was relaxing. It seemed pretty quiet. It did take me awhile to check in (there was a line and the computer seemed to be going slow and there was only one girl behind the counter) and that was a little annoying. The parking lot had a few potholes and there were some tears in the wallpaper […] in the room. But it seemed clean and secure. Check in time at this hotel is 3 PM which isn't what it said on the website. Lisateave

Rooms need upgrading in a bad way....30 minutes after checking in, the front desk assigned our room to another tenant. Nice surprise for both of us when they opened our door. Strange enough the front desk didn't seem to mind much when we mentioned it later that night. The manager was awaiting our arrival with our room information ready and waiting. Free breakfast was substantial with a good selection. Our room was clean and as described in listing. Definitely will use this hotel again.

The hotel room was sub par at best. Even though we informed them after our booking by phone that we required the roll away, they informed us at check in that it was an additional $10. It then came to the room with no bedding. When we finally got the bedding, the pillow had no pillow case. In the morning, the breakfast was poor with the eggs having an […] unusual crumbly texture. Donuts were broken and stored in a crusty covered case. Likewise the waffle maker was crusted and all outside surfaces. Finally, I forgot my toothbrush and when I approached the desk for one, they informed me that they were all out, but they did have toothpaste. Overall the stay was a poor experience. Lisateave

My family and I were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Baymont's usually rate high in our book and this one did not let us down. Staff were very friendly and helpful; especially at our late hour check-in when the desk staff were struggling with their printer. The only knock I can give is with regard to the heating/cooling unit in the room because […] the auto function was not working, so it was either have it on or off all night. Off was not an option for winter time in Michigan, so woke up to an extra dry mouth and throat. Not ideal, but certainly liveable! Lisateave

We had reserved two rooms for two nights. First night went fine but after returning to motel my sister found a large bug on the counter by the sink. She was staying in the other room. She brought it to my room to show me, wanting to know if it was a cockroach. I told her to bring it to the front desk. Well of course, they said it wasn't a cockroach […] but a bug from the trees outside We're still not sure what kind of bug it was but not too happy with our univited guest whatever it was!!!!!!!! overall the stay was pleasant and very enjoyable. New Year's Eve was the only unpleasant night which was not the fault of the Hotel, but the fault of the Holiday and those who choose to over do things. It was very loud until about 5am when the guest in the neighboring room contiinued to be extremely loud and took the party up and down the hallway that […] particular night. Although I visited over the Christmas holiday, I was somewhat disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep of the room. I had to ask for clean/dry towels on more than one occassion, request kleenex and toilet paper from the front desk, and have my room key card reprogrammed twice. The room-specific heater unit would blow cold air even when I had it set […] to "off," so I was too cold and spent a lot of time trying to adjust it. I do have to compliment the staff who prepared the breakfast meals and the courtesy the staff did extend when I mentioned the need for supplies. The price was fair and the location to conveniences and major roads was great. Overall, I'd stay there again because of the location, but will be sure to grab a few extra supplies ahead of time. The hotel needs to be renovated. The shower would not go to spray and stayed on straight stream when I tried to adjust it. There were no linens in the room at all. The room and the hallway were dirty and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall in the room.

Good value for the price and good location right off highway. Easy to find and get to, with friendly and accommodating staff. Had some issues with our TV and refrigerator in our room and they immediately gave us a new room.

This is the 2nd year in a row we have stayed at this hotel while visiting family in Kalamazoo. This hotel is clean and comfortable. The room had a flat screen tv and a refrigerator and a microwave. The bed and pillows smelled clean and were comfortable. Breakfast was basic but wasn't bad. No pool and no workout room but I knew that when I booked. We were very disappointed with the linen on the bed. The bottom sheet didn't fit the mattress and in the middle of the night you would wake up with the sheet pulled off the corners and you were sleeping on the mattress. This was most uncomfortable. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to stay longer. I could have stayed in the bed all day. The pillows were perfect. The room was quiet even with our room being right across from the elevator. When we are in the area again, we will definitely be staying here again.
