The hotel was new, nice, and well maintained. Front desk personnel were friendly and good. Free breakfast was OK, but it was free, so very good for the price! My only two complaints are (1) The area around the hotel was awful. The hotel is squashed between the freeway frontage road and the back side of a strip mall. Walking to a nearby restaurant was […] far from a nice experience. There was trash and overgrown plants all over the place. (2) The room was quiet, except for the fact that I could hear the people in the room above me tromping around all night -- which they did. Loud enough to wake me up a couple of times. Lisateave

For the price of the rooms, the Clarion is probably the best hotel in Blythe. The rooms are clean and neat, the breakfast starts at 4:00am (which is great if you have to be at work by 6:00), and the service is good. Easy access off of the freeway and it is close to everything. Well I did check in early ! 3 hours early actually so go figure. Nice quiet, comfortable hotel with helpful polite staff. I was in a room that was already "made up" and turned out I was alone in all of that particular section of the hotel. As a result it was quiet (very quiet) and I had a great nights sleep. Nice little pool added to the value of a […] well priced room. Hot break with biscuits and gravy, Sausage and eggs as wells the normal continental fare. Happy to recommend this hotel !Do not eat at Rositta's Mexican food. Interesting little Steakhouse called Red Cactus. Turn right from the hotel and first right. 250yards down on the left hand side. 12oz Ribeye for $24.00 with a starting salad. The service was tremendous ! Lisateave

I was very pleased with my stay. Not only was the room equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, the inn provided a complete continental breakfast with DIY waffles, sausage patties, eggs, toast, bagels, and juices. The stay was a pleasant welcome to my weekend!

Overall, this is a fine hotel. That being said I found the bed hard as I prefer a softer mattress like the ones in the Westin chain. The TV was the old style CRT, however according to a flyer in the lobby they are changing these out. On the plus side, the refrigerator in the room was the most generous I have ever seen. My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The staff was very kind and willing to go above and beyond what you would normally expect. The room was glean and the bed comfortable.

Very nice room and good breakfast! Nice to have food I can eat since I have celiac disease and can't eat most of what's offered at a typical continental breakfast. EXCELLENT coffee!!

The room was very comfortable, extremely clean and well appointed. The lobby was beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent. The omelets were fresh and delicious.

This was my second time staying here. No where close to the first time. I gave real good ratings on my first visit. The bed looked as the blankets were just thrown over a already slept in bed. The batroom sink and toilet wasn't clean . We did get another room, which was far nicer,but didn't expect incovenince. I always travel with bed bug spray. after i sprayed, i slept well. the continential breakfast good, more than just coffee and cold cereal. great !!!!!!!! Nice room.

We were extremely surprised of the condition of the Hotel. We thought it would be run down and just plain scary. But little did we know we found the one gem in Blythe, CA. Rooms were clean and we weren't afraid to sleep on te sheets or lay our tired heads on the pillows! If you stay on Blythe, definitely stay at this hotel.

Problems with key cards working. At one point had to have the card rescanned. There was no comfortable place to sit at the end of the day.

Pet friendly hotel. There was a park nearby that we took our dog to every morning and night . Excellent location to Quartsite. We had a comfortable stay.The bed was comfortable. they had a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy were good. The hostess was very nice. Will stay again.

We travel to Quartzsite,AZ from Phoenix every January, Not much in hotels/motels there. Found the Clarion to be very pleasant, easy on/off from I-10, clean, comfy,good breakfast. Definitely will return.

We did not get to stay there due to the fact that they dropped our reservation made one month earlier thru Hotels .Com. We were told that this happens every so often when reservations are thru a third party and they find they can now get more money from someone else. We were however happy that Hotels .Com found us another two rooms at a nicer hotel […] (Comfort Suites) with no extra money from us. It still bothers me that the original Hotel was able to drop the reservations. This was a small town with a large event nearby and I think Hotels.Com was very lucky to find us another two rooms. I wasn't expecting much but was very surprised to find this hotel room to be very comfortable, clean, and spacious. I was in the double queen room, non-smoking. There was no smell of smoke in the room at all. The room was very large and had a fridge and microwave. The linens were really nice and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean! […] I travel a lot and sometimes I stay in 4-5 star hotels. This motel room (the room, not the rest) was almost as good as the 4 and 5 star hotels. As for the rest of the property, well, there isn't much to say... it's a motel. They do have a nice complimentary breakfast, much nicer than most. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were kept clean. Highly recommended if you have to be in Blythe! Lisateave

Just stopped for a night on a long trip. Room was fine, nothing special but satisfactory. Ceiling was squeaky; I recommend a 2nd floor room. Breakfast could have been good but the waffle maker was broken, the microwave wasn't working, and they only had a couple of sad pieces of bread and plain bagels left. And that was at 8:30 on a Saturday! The receptionist […] seemed overwhelmed trying to deal with everything. If everything was working and fully stocked it would have been a great breakfast -- hope you have better luck! Lisateave

Although it was Blythe CA, This was the nicest, cleanest hotel we stayed in our whole trip!!! It seemed to be an older hotel that has been redone. Very clean and smelled new. A few little details seemed old, such as the crumbling grout in bathroom, but for the price and our budget this was the best room we had our trip fro CA to Texas and back!!!!

Only dealt with two staff members. They were both friendly and helpful. Room was fine, although first floor would have been preferred. Bed, although appears relatively new leaves you aching in the morning.

Overall the hotel was satisfactory. I love the fact that they have additional space with couches to relax in and the kitchen equipment. The clerk when we arrived was very helpful and attentive. The clerk at checkout was not interested in helping and was busy talking with someone in the back ignoring us for quite a while. Also, I was very disappointed […] with the breakfast. I stay off and on at the California Inn, It is my favorite place to stay in Blythe. Every few months when I have to stay I check Expedia to see if Cal Inn is having any deals. This time they were.
