This hotel was clean and the breakfast was nice. It's outside of downtown Bellingham in a suburban feeling area with big box shops, but very convenient when traveling on the next morning.

Great hotel in convenient location. Indoor pool is a great place to take your kid after shopping. Breakfast included in the morning, a nice touch!

Great Breakfast, clean room, wonderful shower. I will stay here again!!

It is just like all the other Holiday Inn Express. You know what to expect. It has the same standards as the others. Consistantly clean, well kept and nice staff.

Love the indoor pool; so very warm, it was delightful while snow fell outside! Love a place with breakfast that you can take on a tray up to your partner (in my case my aged mother) without having to get dressed up and it was a delightful array of fruits, yogurts, cereals, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, muffins, toasts and jam. The ceilings are high and not insulated at all so we were kept awake then woken early by the people in the suite above us walking around! The neighbour's shower sounded like it was inside our room it was so noisy, add the AC fan and the fridge going on once in a while and it added up to little sleep! Good location with shuttle to the airport but you […] have to spend a minimum to leave your car there for free. You can pay the difference but wasn't worth it for us. If you are going to offer bacon - get some with taste. Lisateave

the location is great, the hotel provides a great continental breakfast, the pool and hot tub were great also. overall it was a good experience, and i would stay here again.

The hotel and room was very clean. But it was noisey. People were slaming doors and running down the hallways and could hear the plumbing from other rooms

Close to everything, easy walk to shopping and dining. Easy on to the Freeway to Canada or Seattle. Hotel was very quiet even as it seemed to be full up. I would have given the room a higher grade for comfort but the pillows were to soft and the shower did not have a bath mat and the tub was a bit slippery.

Awesome place to stay. We took our kids and grand kids. They loved the pool, and the rooms. The breakfast was exceptional. Well worth the price. Way to hotels.ca!!!

This hotel is very convenient, good breakfast and friendly staff. The only downfall is that the beds are very uncomfortable and it does need some updating and insulation. The bath/shower squeeks and makes you worry that you might fall through as it doesn't seem as if there is proper support.

Great location for shopping when we take a ferry to the mainland. The breakfast is good, the beds comfortable and the rooms quiet.

My partner and I were on our way to Vegas and inadvertently left over 1200.00 cash in a drawer when we checked out. We called within a couple of hours and the woman that was cleaning our room had already put the cash up front for safekeeping. I would definitely recommend supporting any establishment that employes individuals of such high integrity.

We had a hard time looking for the hotel. Just a heads up, it is not really along Guide Meridian. We came from I5 and the hotel sign is after the corner where the hotel was. So we have to go around and go back and we almost passed it again the second time because we are only looking along Guide Meridian.

Helpful reception and close proximity to Bellingham airport.

I was happy with the price and the location(easy access to the freeway and everything else). The breakfast selection was pretty good also. I was just not very happy because we had a non-smoking room but right down the hall there were smoking rooms. We could smell it in our room and both nights we were there I didn't sleep well. I coughed a lot and had […] some difficulty breathing so I had to keep the window open. It wouldn't be such a big deal but I'm pregnant, a non smoker, and have 2 other small children. There are 3 floors. We were on the 2nd. I'm not sure if they have a floor with no smoking at all. But I will be sure to ask next time if there will be a room available on one. Otherwise I won't stay there again. Lisateave

Had great time. Close to shopping. Beds were very hard and the noise of people walking up and down the hallway was quite loud and started very early. The ice machine broke down filling the hallway with smoke. Would probably stay there again to go shopping.

Fine hotel for the money. Free shuttle to and from the airport was an extra plus. Nice breakfast and really clean rooms. Wifi included. Great for a business or leisure trip.

Good value for the price. Close to everything we needed. Will stay there again :)

We stayed here the night before heading up to Mt. Baker to ski (about 1:15 away). Bellis Fair Mall is right down the street, which came in handy when we realized we forgot a few things. The kids loved the pool which was comfortably warm, and the parents enjoyed the hot tub. The rooms were pretty standard, but comfortable. Breakfast was great. Lots of […] selection. My kids liked the automatic pancake maker. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose. Lisateave

The Holiday Inn Express in Bellingham Wa is steps away from Bellis Fair. We found this convenient. The breakfast was fantastic. Beds comfortable.

There seems to always be good and bad reviews for every place on hotels.com so booking anywhere made me nervous. The reasonable price for a king deluxe room is what initially attracted me to HIE. When we arrived the staff was incredibly friendly, the location was central to nearly everything you'd want to see or do in Bellingham and the room was clean […] and comfortable (blankets and complimentry mouthwash was a huge plus). I've stayed at the Bellwether, the "premier" in Bellingham and it was amazing but for the price the HIE was more than satisfying. Thanks for the accomadations and free coffee! A past guest did leave a scrunchie and some paperwork in the drawer and it didn't get cleaned out and that's the only reason I gave a 3 for cleaniness. Otherwise, no negatives. Lisateave

Have stayed in nicer hotels for half the price. Acceptable but question the value. Breakfast better than most.

I recently went down to Bellingham, Wa. with my two oldest grand-daughters for a get-away/shopping weekend. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & it is very good value for your money.

We (2A;2K) have stayed here before and the value is the best in Bellingham. Rooms are quiet, beds are comfortable, proximity to shopping is excellent, and the pool, breakfast buffet, and free daily newspaper are a bonus. For accommodation at this price point; outstanding.
