"Just Comments"
Breakfast Buffet was average and highly overpriced. The beds were made poorly. Sheets were badly wrinkled and not even completely on the beds.Scenery was awesome and loved Callaway Gardens.

"A little old but very convenient location"
A little old but very convenient location and very clean. Staff was very nice too. Great thing that the cost of the room included the entrance to the park.

We were very satisfied with our stay and plan to stay there again this Fall. Very friendly staff. Comfy bed. Breakfast was a bit over priced but fresh and tasty.

"Callaway Gardens"
It's a great little complex right across the street from the Gardens. The rooms are maybe a little dated but had everything you'd want, were clean and comfortable and suited me just fine. Restaurant was good tho a little pricey. I'd definitely stay there again.

It was ok. We went for Fantasy in Lights. The A/C didn't work and you couldn't change the channels on the TV either. They were also late getting out room ready to check into. Great location for Fantasy in Lights, it is just an old hotel.
"Great time at Callaway Gardens"
What a nice place to visit and stay. Lots of things to do, and the staff and the hotel were outstanding. Top three things we did: --Visited the Safari Animal park (Within three miles of the site) what a HOOT, renting an old van with bars in the windows, taking a 50 lb bag of food and feeding a lot of crazy animals who like to stick their entire head […] into the window and eat the food, including a giraffe. It has been a long time since we laughed as much. Rec. going early before 11 am. --Christmas Light show at Callaway--Unbelievable, make a reservation and take the Trolley. You can get a combo ticket at the Gardens that includes the light show and the room and breakfast. --Zip Line in Callaway--Lots of fun and very challenging. Make a reservation. Great place would do it again. Only caution: a lot of the places to stay have Callaway" in the name, make sure you understand which one you are staying at. They are all located close together. On the way back to Tallahassee, we stopped in Columbus, GA at Ft. Benning "National Infantry Museum. Very nice, first class. Lisateave

"Expensive, outdated and not very well cleaned room"
I went there with a group of family and friends. I think the staff had excellent hospitality and were great with the guests; however, the facilities are old. The carpet in each of the rooms has seen many days and I was not comfortable with spider webs in the corners; dust in the pockets and poorly replenished bathrooms. In some rooms lamps were not […] working. Clearly overpriced facility; what a shame? The staff were very delightful and handled even the most difficult clients in a respectful manner and maintained a positive attitude. I do not recommend it! Too pricy and quality is mediocre. We were there three nights. The floor was not vacumed at all, the john was not cleaned. The only thing done was, the beds were made and clean towels were issued. A one inch cockroach lay in the middle of the bedroom floor for our entire stay. Would I go back?, NO
"Mountain Creek Inn - Callaway Gardens"
I stayed at this hotel while doing the Bike MS bike ride. 2000 riders from all over the country converged on Callaway Gardens for the weekend. Every single room in the area was full. The hotel is convenient to callaway gardens but located outside the grounds. The hotel is very outdated and in need of an upgrade. The staff was extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service. We were there two nights.

It's helpful to know that there are two hotels associated with Calloway Gardens Resort. The Mountain Creek Inn is pet friendly but it is older than dirt and needs a complete renovation. The common areas such as the lobby and restaurant are acceptable but the rooms are dated and unappealing. However, I must say that it was very clean, the staff was courteous and quick to respond when I requested anything, and the room was very spacious. I chose the hotel because I was traveling with pets, but for future visits to Calloway Gardens, I will board the dogs and stay in the Calloway Gardens Lodge and Spa. If you want a beautiful room in a new hotel with the best amenities, choose the Lodge and Spa. Overall the wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Gardens, it was a family type of vacation, room were comfortable, and well maintained, excess to all available recreation areas were easy.

We had a really good time over the fourth of July. I liked that the admissions to the gardens and beach party were included in the hotel fee. The family had a great time visiting the trails, the gardens, the beach, the circus, and the butterfly center and watching the fireworks. We even visited the Wild Animal Safari on the way down and the Little White […] House on the way home. The staff was very friendly. "Callaway - Nature and Fun in the Sun All in One!"
Had a great 2-day vacay here and wish we'd had more time. You absolutely must bring your bikes when you come (or rent like we did) - some of the most beautiful biking trails around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel during the Memorial Holiday weekend. There was plenty of activities in the area and the food was wonderful. I enjoyed having a shopping gift store in the hotel to pick up items of interest. We will choose to attend other events in the area this year and stay at this hotel.
"Hotel in desperate need of renovations"
The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, very Southern in their hospitality, but I would describe our room and swimming pool as very dated and in need of extreme renovations. For some reason, we were placed in a handicapped accessible room where there was no closet and an ironing board was placed near the door of the bath making it a tripping hazard. […] The bathroom was clean but had in it the original aqua tile from it's 1970's construction. I was very disappointed in the age and condition of this property. Calloway Gardens is peaceful and quiet, and I would only recommend this hotel if the only consideration is budget and cleanliness. Otherwise book a room at the Spa and Lodge. Lisateave
"Squeeky Door"
The motel door squeeked horribly. I complained to the front desk and someone came over within an hour. He verified the problem and said he would be back with oil. He never returned. The side of the bed next to the night stand was lower and I felt like I was rolling off the bed all night. I am only 6 feet tall, but my feet hung off the bottom of the […] bed. I was very disappointed in this hotel. As a female a hotel with an outside enterance to the room is very unsafe. I am used to staying at the lodge and was surprised to see how run down this hotel was on the same property. "The Southern Pine Cottages@Callaway Gardens"
This would be good for a family or group of 4 people if you also book the adjoining room. They are not brand new or luxurious but very comfortable and clean and nestled in the woods. We enjoyed our stay. Very close to the Lodge and Spa hotel which we walked to and had lunch and also enjoyed sitting around their fireplace in the evening. You have to […] remember this is a very wooded and peaceful area which is the plus for going there...to get away from the world. If you want pampered and luxurious accomodations, then book the Lodge And Spa...expensive, but wonderful. No breaks on Hotel.com for that one! We had to wait for a hotel weekend special. An added note on the Mountain Creek Inn that we had originally booked with hotel.com is that they are about half done with renovating their rooms. Sooo, you need to be sure to get a newly renovated room. Otherwise, you will not be happy campers. "It was just ok...."
The hotel was nice, nothing amazing. The room was very clean but the hallway in the lobby area had a horrible "sewage" smell and it was only footsteps away from the restaurant, which lead us to eat out instead. Overall, for the price it wasn't bad but next time I would rather drive the hour home than sleep in a small double bed again.

Callaway Gardens itself is a wonderful place to stay. The Mountain Creek Inn within the gardens appeared to not have been renovated since the 1950's. The pull down tub seat was old and worn looking and the tile was a 50's green. The bed was comfortable and the room was a decent size. The room could use an update.

The room was clean and comfortable, but for the price, I expected more. The rooms were accessible from outside as opposed to an interior corridor. It is in great need of updating. "Callaway Gardens--Mountain View Inn"
We were there to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary but we felt that we were not truly treasured guests. We got bumped from a King room to a room with two beds in an older part of the facility. WHY? Because I did not state NO STAIRS IN MY reservation.
